prototypes are soooo overrated, people dropping a lot of money on something that can't even be proved to be 10 or less in existence
I think they’re awesome. Especially since they’ve passed through the hands of the Funko artist who make the mold, making them a unique part of that mold history. But to each their own 🥲
@@matt_tran I never said they weren't cool, they are great but why drop hundreds even thousands on something that you will never know if they are mass produced and make seem like they are rare. Just fruit for thought.
@@LuisMonc-rl3xo Funko employees, including past artists and creative directors, have confirmed that the number of prototypes varies for each figure mold (and is roughly around what is posted on groups like Protos 101), depending on how many iterations it takes to achieve the desired design. These prototypes are distributed directly by Funko at events like Fright Night and Fundays, as well as through sweepstakes on their official website. Therefore, both the legitimacy and rarity of these prototypes are verified and not fabricated.
@@LuisMonc-rl3xo Funko insiders, including former artists and creative heads, have confirmed that the number of prototypes varies for each figure mold and tends to be pretty limited (you can find ballpark figures on groups like Protos 101). It all depends on how many tries it takes to nail the design they want.

The rarest Pop that I ever had was the SDCC Skeletor from 2013. I sold it in 2018 when I thought the POPs were peaking. I am still convinced most of the POPs bought in the past few years especially the commons and Target, Walmart, Hot Topic, EE exclusives are not going to increase in value that much.
My rarest luffy item is the wanted poster pop signed by mayumi tanaka

I have all the og one piece pops but I threw the boxes away years ago because I didn't think OP would get popular. RIP. Worthless now 😢

The blind box Sabo is really rare too, 1/75 like child Law, he's just not as popular.
My girlfriend bought me last year one of mystery mini boxes and it had the child law in it, that was so cool!

Mine is the Brook NYCC Shared. Although I got it for 200, I'm glad I got it back then compared to what the price is now lol

My most rare pops are Brook And Chopper, Got Brook with Captain Rex that year (shared). And Chopper was actually in stock for a long time before ONE PIECE was hot.

I have 2 Luffy with Thousand Sunny, here in Brazil their resale price is very low, if someone comes to Brazil they can still be found at meetings of funko collectors and stores that resell them, here in Brazil it is very difficult to collect funkos as there are so many who don't come here and we suffer from the abusive prices of the parallel sales market

Ive got the 12th ever signed marco the Phoenix pop. I met thr VA in a con right after the poo released and he was numbering them till 100 i believe. So i got the twelfth

I live in Germany here they only sell the mystery mini Versions with Corazon so i got like 7-8 Corazon duplicates and don’t know what to do with them.
Wanna sell one? Lol I didn’t get any of the original minis cause I couldn’t find them here cause it’s so rural where I live

I do not think I have rare one piece funko pops. But the most expensive ones I have are Yamato, Shanks, and Marco. I have OG Sanji, Zoro, and Chopper but Funko decided to retro them last year so.. I won't count those three :P

I got like two sets of them and at the stores I bought them from they didn't put those stickers on the bottom that you were talking about with the law so how do they figure in to that? Cuz I know hot topic does those stickers but all other stores that I've been to don't do that

Hey skittlerampage i sold my b Brooke share version during the last year of 2018 and the price was $99 at vintagestock and it took the start of 2019 to have somebody buy it and do regret selling it to them sometime

I have Brook, but with the shared sticker. The box isn't great, but it was in my price range. Also have Kid, much better shape.
For Trafalgar Law 101, I wound up getting a fake. Unless something incredible happens, I doubt I'll ever have the real thing.
Everything else I have is not particularly rare, a restock, or will be restocked.
