I think some are real and some are staged like the dude said before me I have been cheated on and I know how they behave and unfortunately they all act the same when they are on the hot seat.

Real reactions are usually very raw. Crying, getting angry, panicking. Its really hard to be chill or look like a bad actor.

Problem is that in teenager time you dont care what parents say, but go for what is "cool", cause a - image is the most important thing and b - cause at that age we all thought we know better than anyone else.

Back in the day I was accused of robbing a Pharmacy and was their main suspect. I opted to take a polygraph aka lie detector test and failed big time which made them put so much more pressure on me I was 16yrs old. About 6mo ths later they actually caught the real person in the act and she admitted to the Pharmacy I was accused of. My point is polygraph also lie.
Yeah it's definitely not as reliable as people think, there are ways to beat it if you are able to control your breathing and keep your heart rate consistent. But for a lot of people, you will most likely be able to tell a lie from the truth because you can see when their heart rate goes up, etc. But it cannot be 100% relied on
