LOL He has caught some big fish in the north end but then being Roland he has caught big fish all over the lake. Thanks for watching and commenting Jeff we really appreciate it.
Sure will John. We started the channel doing videos about the lake and we were way overdue getting more out there. Appreciate you handing with us here.
Greatly appreciate Barry and Dave taking the time to show us how to get around the lake in a safe manner. These are outstanding videos to get more familiar with navigating the lake. Can’t wait to see you start using drones to follow you around the lake. Great job gentlemen, keep up the great work.
Thank you very much for the support. We have a drone and would love nothing more than use it all over the lake HOWEVER, the SJWM prohibits drones on the lake. We reached out to them and they just won't allow it. Some people have gotten away with a few drone clips but there is no way we could pull it off on a regular basis. Maybe if we get enough people to sign a request to allow us to do it but even then I doubt it.
@@BeyondHeadwaters i think I have seen a Normal Guy (wink wink) uses them all the time and i have seen others on YT that have shot drone footage, unless they have no idea that they are banned?
@@BeyondHeadwaters started up north again today had 15 fish before 10am, moved down to east of the 45 canal caught another 5 and to the cypress maze and caught another 5 or so. Ran into Pat on my way back in the north end and caught fish while sitting there talking to him!
I'll be up there this weekend I'm dropping my boat off at AquaTech Marine for some upgrades and I'm looking to get a guide trip. I definitely want to learn that Lake since I'm planning on moving up to Palm Bay in the next 6 months.
I actually ran aground right where the south canal and east~west canal meet. Maybe 30’ once I made the turn heading west. Was in a 18.5 bass boat so my draft was minimum . I was outside the middle of east ~west camel by four feet, but still in the center and Bam! Sand bar.
Hey Keith, no it is not average 3 ft everywhere. However the best way to get around the lake if you are not familiar with certain areas is to run the main canals and then idle or troll into new waters. Keep an eye on your depth readings. The North area meaning north of the east west canal is mostly shallow but can be ran by way of intersecting canals or ditches. South of the east west you will find more areas of deeper water but again take your time in new waters.
Hey Terry, yes we ran into a blockage so we turned around back to the south and turned into the east side and the camera showed the the northeast area.
awesome, I miss THESE videos so much. But dont Forget the boys back at the shop. Missed the P&J show when i was there saturday.. dont ask, i got skunked but at least the boat didnt and good to see barry up and around lol
Hey David actually there was no way around the blockage so we just turned around and slid into the northeast side about a 100 yards before the blockage.
Great video series!! The last time I was in Florida 2 years ago, we fished Garcia lake and had a great time! I have 2 questions for you because you guys seem to me really authentic and down to home. Does Davis House Inn have parking and electrical outlets (for charging batteries) for a truck and bass boat trailer? Looking at Google earth, the parking does not look very big. Also, my 2nd question is about Headwaters access. Is the access road still unpaved and sandy? I really want to fish the Headwaters this winter (I'm from Ohio) and I was concerned about the access road due to the fact I just recently purchased a new GMC truck. Two years ago when we visited Garcia, we went over one day to fish Stick Marsh (the year before they opened Headwaters to big boats) and I had sand all over the truck. I know the truck shouldn't stop me from going to Headwaters, but I get a brand new truck about once a decade and likely to be my last one. Just didn't want to ruin anything. I have fished Okeechobee for years but it has changed so much from when it a lot more grass a few years ago. Garcia was such a blast a couple of years ago and I can only imagine the Headwaters to better. My buddy and I value your opinion and thank you so much for putting these videos out!!!!
Flipped the islands just east of the north/south "ditch" on the northern side with a bandito bug on my kayak. Crushed them, went through a bag in about 2 hours. Then transitioned to deeper water right in the ditch with a black/blue chatterbait with a junebug trailer, caught a 5lb10oz. Productive May day, can't wait to get back!
Funny you should mention that Terry. I just had a phone conversation with the head of the roads dept with Indian river County and he directed me to the guy I need to talk to . He reached out to him to let him know I wanted to meet with him and I did as well so we will se what happens. I am on it so lets see what I can do. Will keep everyone posted with what I find out.
Love the goggle eath references! Now I know where Roland hangs out! Lol...

Always loved breaking down the lake videos! Keep those coming if you can.
Hey Lenny, Appreciate the feedback and for sure we will be putting these out on a regular basis again.
Love the back on the water stuff!!! Great footage !!!! 👍👍👍
Thanks Ralph, lots more to come. Good fishing always.
Thx guys now I know the lake!
We will be doing a lot more on the water videos of places to check out and how to get there.
Great video Guys! keep them coming about Headwaters, love them all!!

It is definitely banned. There is sign at the ramp saying so and we have confirmed it with St John Water Management.
Appreciate it guys!
Thanks Marty. Looking forward to catching up at the tourney. Tell Becky we said hello.
Awesome music! Rock on!
Thanks Paul I figured you would be good with the track.
Man, a break the lake down video is like a blast from the past! Love it guys, keep it up!!!
Thanks Jaay, Getting back to our roots.
Good video friend , i was just checking out your great channel and i joined up
Thanks and welcome to our channel.
I’ve been killing it on the kayak in the north End!
Right on!! I think a lot of folks pass up the north end because it looks like a big fish bowl but there s a lot going on. Thanks for watching.

Besides runnin threw the hydrilla is it dangerous to run anywhere across all the lakes is it basically 3 feet every where ?? Thank you

At 7:40 in the video you came to a clog then all of a sudden you were running clear water areas. Can you explain which way you went ?
Hey Terry, yes we ran into a blockage so we turned around back to the south and turned into the east side and the camera showed the the northeast area.
Awe man!! I thought only yaks were allowed.
There is lots of grass, stick to where the east west ditches intersect with the main middle canal. Fish well, be safe.
Good stuff guys! I haven't been on Headwaters in a while. That looks way different than what I remember! ❤ all that hydrilla!
yup, the lake is an everchanging beauty. Let me know if you plan on getting back over here so we can do a video with you.

I ended up there on accident one time, fished up the whole canal that day, no luck for me though .
We all have slow days. If you hit it again just work it slow. Work the intersections and give your baits time to fall as you come off the hydrilla
Great Info, How did you navigate the blockage, 3/4 the way down the canal. Saw you pointing , then proceeding to the end.
Hey David actually there was no way around the blockage so we just turned around and slid into the northeast side about a 100 yards before the blockage.

Bret, we're from Ohio also and going to Headwaters in February.
Road is still sand. Truck will get totally covered.

Caught a lot of bass in that canal. :)
They are in there for sure. Appreciate you watching and commenting as always.
Just be mindful of that north end starting in November it will be packed with duck hunters
As popular as the both of you are becoming how bout getting your mojo on having the road paved to our most favorite fishing holes are.

I was shocked they never did it 15-20 years ago when farm/stick brought in all the fisherman from the country /world
@@roba2508 they paved a 1/4 mile coming up to the stick marsh and gave up lol
