My late Mother said the Family had Allergies 24/7/365, perpetual sniffles & runny noses. Spent 23 years in the Army running, working out, etc.. Started early enough was doing PT in combat boots. Then add another 13 in a job on my feet all day long. Result is a replaced hip 10 years ago & no cartilage in either knee, I can feel bones rubbing on each other. Gotta lose 100 pounds before I can get knee replacements. Safe Travels, take care of yourself & Miss Bailey. Give Miss Bailey a hug, smooches, & scratches behind both ears. She who must be obeyed.
I'm 61 and was 312 pounds at 6'2" tall in 2019. In 2020 I was laying flat on a table with a cath ran up my arm and into the arteries around my heart. I did have arterial blockage but not enough to need a stent, no heart attack, yet. I got on a ketogenic diet and walked every day. I weigh between 220 and 235 these days and I walk at least 2 miles/day and mostly 4-5 miles/day. Start slow, make a game out of it, get healthy, live long and love long.
As I always say Dan ! You are the hardest working driver on UA-cam. Always on the move making money. Be safe and thanks for always showing the positive side of the trucking industry. Your professionalism is second to none.
I'm 63 dude, just had a rotary cuff operation, 75% tear. The crazy thing is hardly any pain other than sleeping. 4 months out of action as i am a painter decorator, also waiting on operation on disc. Don't jump of your trailer dude really bad idea even if you are young and fit. Stay safe, take it easy all the joys of getting old.😢👍
Dan use that daug gone ladder to get up and down and move around on those loads! You know, take the time and be safe! They make knee and hip replacements but the rehab is a beast! The back injuries can end a career and make for a miserable retirement! Stay safe! Enjoy your content and work ethic.
I once hauled a load of Feeder Calves to a Feed Lot just outside of Dodge City. While there learned that there are about 7,500 head per Day Processed there at the Packing Plants that You passed by. Thanks again for Sharing !! H.
Mr D. In time our body control our mind and our mind control our body. With age. We're just along for the ride. Drs knows medical very well but we knows our bodies better than the Dr. Been there done that. Great riding music. Please B SAFE and B careful. Safe travels 🚛💨💨💨💨
Hope you start to feeling better. I use to pickup at National Beef Products. They have cheap steak dinners there. Especially at the cattle auction barn.
Sounds like you are suffering from east coast allergies. Pine tree pollen turns everything yellow in the spring time all over Georgia and the Carolinas.. When I traveled outside of the southeast I had very little problem, but let me come home for a few days and I was sneezing, suffering from a runny nose, and had itchy eyes. Head west Supertrucker Dan. You will be fine.
At 8:21 Sargento Cheese truck the opposite way. Our favorite cheese. Allergies have been horrible this year. Yesterday coming home from Chambersburg, Pa my allergies flared up as I neared the Norristown/476 exit/merge area. Must have been a nice smell with those bull haulers. 😂 Your video always has the correct amount of road footage, cat sound, music, loading and unloading aspects and then the information you provide for safety, maintenance and trucking issues. Oh yeah, plus Bailey.
I feel your knee pain Dan, I somehow tweaked my knee a couple of weeks ago and it still hurts. At 70 it takes a while to get past it. Still follow your videos after all these years
Be careful Dan as you get older, it very easy to forget what you can get away with, once you get into your 50s knees are a weak point as I have discovered when lifting.
Hi Dan. Try Biofreeze professional gel and rub it on your knee. It seriously takes the edge off the pain. It comes in small tubes or how I like to buy it in the 32 oz bottle. For me it’s great to knock the pain down so I can get through the day. Hopefully this helps. Let me know.
Sorry to hear about the knee injury I'm 69 and both of mine hurt the allergies have been horrible this year, I live in Indiana and started having problems in February the doctor said allergies just now starting to get better. Hope you heal up fast.
When I get on You Tube and looking for A video to watch, I'll see you have poste A new on , I'll so Oh! there's Dan. 🙂Hope your knee doesn't give you any trouble.
it's the worst year for us that suffer from allergies this year. Mostly as a result of a mild winter but the Zyrtec brand of allergy pills works the best for me to not make me drowsy.
If half the o/o's worked as Smart as you, there wouldn't be as many complaints from them. Sorry about the knee, I'm 59 and run a walking floor trailer climbing ladders all day. Don't really feel any pain yet. But, I'm also 155 lbs. Please take care of yourself mentally and physically for Bailey and Teresa.
Thanks Dan, Teresa, Bailey and coordinator. Try rubbing Vick's ointment on your sore knee a couple of times a day Dan. The menthol is a decent topical pain reliever. Ice it when you can for 20 minutes at a time. It will take a few weeks to get better.
Dan Dan the professional flat deck man. Video was short but a good one. Having allergies must be a pain in the butt. I have been very fortunate not to have had any problems like than. Blew my knee out a few years ago and still have to deal with the problems from it still today. No you do not complain very much Dan. Would not do you any good anyway. Even though your tractor is now much longer than before you get around in tight places with ease. Anywho Dan loved the video. Have a great and a safe day. Happy trails and happy motoring.
Thank you for another interesting and enjoyable video. To save your knees you should never habitually jump off farm tractors when getting down, trucks are probably the same. Very tempting though.
Flonase spray one shot per nostril and 1 Claritin or Allegra nice to take later in the evening if you want to sleep good. or just take it in the morning.
I noticed in your last video when you talked about the AC units walking around that it didn't look like there was a lot of downward pull on the strap chains. Is it possible that reconfiguring the chain is getting more downward force?
I have followed you for a long time and you keep getting closer and closer to me. I'm in Paola KS off of 169 south which is just south and east a bit from Edgerton . Safe travels buddy.
They just built/opened a Scooter's Coffee in front of my local Walmart. Most people love it from the comments I see on local media. I'm not a big fan of a $7 coffee. I drink my cheap Great Value Kcups haha.
Great video Dodge City the town for Gunsmoke western TV show…. Stay safe out there Dan maybe you will be in Southern Colorado on way to New Mexico? Or Oklahoma ? Cheaper fuel in Oklahoma I bet….Maybe ya was on Hwy 50 too?
I developed knee problems because of some WM steel towed shoes (which I quit using). I started using a HEATING PAD and it would give relief. Try it and see if it helps the knees.
i use to pick up a lot of frozen meat in Dodge City. it was a drop and hook and you had to make sure the trailer was washed out before entering the plant, cause they didn't do it on site, or didn't use to, don't know bout now.
I hope your knee gets better Dan I've had trouble with my knees seems like when ya get old that's one of the first things to start going on ya is ya knees I went to the orthopedic doctor and they gave a cortisone shot in each knee haven't had any problems since my husband is having trouble with his knees now I'm going to take him to the orthopedic doctor and get them to give him a cortisone shot in each knee you and cute bailey stay safe out there on that road
Great Bend , Ks. Is where the deepest hand made well it at..A lot of farm land and a few oil and gas wells..Have a great day and enjoy those open spaces out there in Ks..😁👍☕️🇺🇸
I’m thinking it’s walking because metal on metal and dunnage would allow a compression layer and it wouldn’t walk, sorry about your knees, massage might help 😮
im old and fat too, but i have to avoid falling down on my hands and knees or i'd never get up, weak legs a swollen feet are my problem. still can't figure out how i got edema so bad.
Hey Dan, you said that your are fat and old and that your knees couldnt handle that. Tell you what, a youngster may have hurt his knees too. You jumped from your trailer totally unprepared. Means you jump in an emergency to avoid falling down. This instant jump hurts everyone, no matter if you are 30 or 40 or 50 or what. Its not about beeing fat and old... and btw, you arent fat. I worked for UPS for over 15 years and i remember my training time. They teach you to watch anything, to be prepared and it works most time. But most people dont get a training like this and so shit happens. Cool down your knee, maybe go for a doctor and have a check on it.
My late Mother said the Family had Allergies 24/7/365, perpetual sniffles & runny noses. Spent 23 years in the Army running, working out, etc.. Started early enough was doing PT in combat boots. Jumping at our Age can be Dangerous and especially to Hips and Knees. 👍🙏

Ooh didums,must be your Genes....
Nowt to do with over eating and a sedentary life style.....😂
You should show more stuff back in the kitchen area like making coffee and food and stuff
As I always say Dan ! You are the hardest working driver on UA-cam. Always on the move making money. Be safe and thanks for always showing the positive side of the trucking industry. Your professionalism is second to none.

Something about a single injury like that triggers a cascade of unhappiness.
Good one Dan. Hey I like your new hair cut looks good.
Your mercer polo looks nice.

No one said anything about the smell of Dodge City , or the big flies around there . I will always remember.🤣🤣🤣
Dodge City process cattle all the way from Canada and Mexico. They do Buffalo also. It’s still a cowboy town.
Mr D. In time our body control our mind and our mind control our body. With age. We're just along for the ride. Drs knows medical very well but we knows our bodies better than the Dr. Been there done that. Great riding music. Please B SAFE and B careful. Safe travels 🚛💨💨💨💨
At my age I fully agree with your comment
Hope you start to feeling better. I use to pickup at National Beef Products. They have cheap steak dinners there. Especially at the cattle auction barn.
Your Army knees are catching up with, it happens to all Veterans eventually. Too bad you didn't run into Kurt Schmit while you were in Kansas.
Sounds like you are suffering from east coast allergies. Pine tree pollen turns everything yellow in the spring time all over Georgia and the Carolinas.. Sorry about your knee Dan....glad you have Bailey for company!
Nice load of A/C Units. You're becoming a real expert at hauling them and keeping them from walking around.
I feel your knee pain Dan, I somehow tweaked my knee a couple of weeks ago and it still hurts. At 70 it takes a while to get past it. Still follow your videos after all these years

Prayers for your knees. I'm now in a wheelchair cause of my knees. Stay safe you 2. Love Bailey.
Be careful Dan as you get older, it very easy to forget what you can get away with, once you get into your 50s knees are a weak point as I have discovered when lifting.
You can sure tell they did a great job patching the road there in Dodge city. L O L.

How about an automatic Peterbilt?
I developed knee problems because of some WM steel towed shoes (which I quit using). I started using a HEATING PAD and it would give relief. Try it and see if it helps the knees.
