Your marmalade on bread looks sooooo delicious. You are such a delight to watch. I look forward to each and every episode. Your watering can tip for hanging on post is genius.
Oooh la la !!!!! Loved this video. My school French classes are finally paying off. Not only are you a great gardener but, also a great entertainer. Merci beaucoup!
I just found you! I have grown dahlias because my mom grew them and her mom grew them . We have always just planted straight into the ground in May ..after dividing the bulbs that survived the winter storage . Winter storage is always a variable thing of course but most survive thankfully . I am lucky to have a dry and not too cold basement where I store the bulbs in bins with lids and loose peat . I never knew how to correctly divide the bulbs so thanks for showing that !
lol - not sure I do it 'correctly' but it works for me. x these days I'm keener on taking cuttings and getting rid of the old tubers altogether - unless it's a cold spring like this one when the cuttings took forever to get going x
Was delighted to see a new video pop up ,, your an absolute tonic ,, loved your "very Instagram " bit 😀, you have to be my favourite you tuber , honestly its like popping over to see a friend , love your real style of content ,,
You deserve lots of #buymeacoffee treats for the laughing through this film - particularly loved the instagram hair do and sinking tripod positioning ;-) xx
I've just found you here in California (probably because The Google overheard me lamenting my mistakes at growing my first dahlias), and am so enjoying you - and your mum! Thank you for "keeping it real" and just a bit silly. Looking forward to catching up with your content.
Georgie I saw you on Escape to the Country last night. It was a 2019 broadcast. I watch that program often & wish I could buy one of the lovely homes. My Mom was born in Lincolnshire & met my Dad in London during the war. I often wish they had stayed in England instead of moving to Canada. I feel that in my next life I shall be an Englishwoman living in my stone & thatched cottage tending my garden........one can only dream...😌
Lovely to have you back Georgie. I stuck with you the bitter end and thoroughly enjoyed the video. I love your confidence. Thoroughly agree about decompressing. Unfortunately once I have decompressed I then start to fret and worry about germination etc.! I am too impatient. Have a great weekend.
a wagon full of full watering cans would reduce the walking back and forth and be cheaper than installing a tap. Side note, I find escaping to my seed room very peaceful and I will be sad to see the room run its course this year in a month or so.
I am obsessed with your channel and learning as much as possible! I did not know such glorious bouquets were even possible! Just one question?? Are the grass pathways easy to maintain? I'm trying to decide what kind of pathways to have in my expanded garden area and your grass pathways look so nice. 😘
Hi Georgie you make flower growing look so easy. I just can't get dahlias to get past slugs and snails here so never get lovely blooms like you. How do you manage with that. I live fairly close to you on the Mendips so there should be very little difference in soil and climate. Best wishes Pauline
The awful thing is that the longer you garden organically the less slug damage you have because you have more predators - but you have to take the hit for a few years until the whole food chain we’ll established - good luck x
@@theflowerfarmer thanks georgie. I am completely organic already. Make comfrey tea and have 3 big compost bays 2 little ponds with frogspawn. Never use any pesticides but will keep trying in our fairly big wildish garden to get just a few dahlias growing soon but we are in our late 70s now so doing what we can. Love your UA-cam videos.
@@paulinemalpas1749 it takes a while but eventually - we just saw a too quick to photograph young stoat skittering across the meadow - which is good because our lovely neighbour keeps chickens so there are rats and the stoat family will prey on the rats in the lane x
Hello again. Thanks for making me chuckle and all the good advice. Une petite question do you grow amaranth. As i am and i think i May have left them in there little pots and this May have stressed them. As only 7 cm tall and appear to have started forming flowers not sure if it is worth planting out or if they will be stunted. ? Bonne journée bisous 😀😀
I feel very end of the worldish at the mo - gardening is so calming! - alors la merde et la ventilateur - glad you enjoy the video - yes I used to live in Paris x

Interesting how you separate your dalialias. Laura on Garden Answer would split them further. She gets huge flowers each season
Sometimes I do - depends on how they split and how many I need - I don’t need huge flowers but I do need lots x

Qu’est-ce qui se passe avec le ventilateur? Ça sent mauvais? Is it blowing nasty smells? Great video. Thanks
