The developers wanted to referance NiGHTS's ability to shapeshift so they made NiGHTS the race car and had a nightopian drive. I know it's weird but it's also very clever.
I just love the fact they made NiGHTS and Reala characters instead of making NiGHTS a bloody flag waver. Adding them and this level just made this game amazing.
+MX's Music Instead of a Nightopian riding NiGHTS it should just be NiGHTS, switching to different Persona's (or forms from the original) depending on the situation. Rocket in the air, Dolphin in the water and It's invincibility should be the trademark Dash Spin.

True, her and Reala being the only shapeshifters are the reason why I choose them (mostly NiGHTS) among the racers and that her driver is instead a background character (Nightopian for her while it’s a Goodle for Reala). I love her voice it suits her honestly.
[Even though I know NiGHTS is genderless, I like to refer to NiGHTS as a "she", but that's just my opinion and I'm okay with yours.] I fucking love NiGHTS. I loved her games and I loved her playable appearance in Sega Superstars Tennis. I was pissed when I found out she wasn't a playable character in Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing, but loved it when I found out that she was playable (as a vehicle) in Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed. I haven't played the game, but I'm getting it soon.
Am I the only one who was mostly disappointed with this course? Like, every other course in the game feels like you're actually in the location, and like they are actual worlds. But this course, everything feels like your on the set of a NiGHTS themed track at an amusement park, instead of in Spring Valley itself. Everything is upscaled. the enemies look more like parade floats then actual enemies. The actual area is pretty dry. The game itself is filled to the brim with stuff everywhere (Nightopians, Nightmaren, Multiple type Rings, those launchers, chips, collectable power ups, chip cages, etc.) but this course only has like. 5 things from the game. it just feels empty. Also you can tell that the background is just a low res image on an illuminated plane in some parts. The nightmare sections were incredibly cool though. Im glad the bosses feel pretty natural there, as well as the environments. And why do the cpus just randomly seem to drop off the face of the earth at some point. their ai is way too easy here
I enjoy that Wizeman's animations are clearly broken and they didn't bother fixing them at any point lol Still, cool to see Gillwing and Puffy's stages with such detailed graphics, shame Spring Valley looks so bland and lifeless.

This is definitely one of the best and coolest maps, simply because you don't turn into an actual car in this one.

I did this this track on the Vita version earlier this evening. I love how they gave Wizeman a cameo in the final lap.
That seems to be more interesting than Mario Kart. The track changes depending on the lap. I like this idea. I should give the game a try.

I think this stage and that one level from Lost World are pretty good throwbacks to NiGHTS. I still want a remake of the original though!

You're in luck, I'm not sure if it's ture, but I heard that NiGHTS is a unlockable character of SSB4. (and maybe Reala might be a assist trophy)
