I've been looking at carbon/innegra and basalt/innegra composites and blends. Innegra fiber is lightweight and has superior impact absorption properties to carbon, and prevents the catastrophic failure carbon is known for. Including that in a carbon focused build may be of benefit.
@@Armor-Innovations Absolutely. I've been wanting to start making composites myself (right now I've just been reading studies), so demonstrations/information would be useful.
@Armor-Innovations ok! Thanks, it ll help me to run some calculations with that and compare your result and total amount of fiber density with other stuff
Probably stainless steel rivets if you wanted them to be functional. The bolts the base helmet originally came with were not meant for this, so that is why they didn't really hold up. The composite is surprisingly easy to drill through though.
If you leave the thick foam liner in, it will help with backface deformation.
Watching your work closely! Loving the vids!

Thanks for the input. Ill be sure to look into it. Would an in-depth composite video be something you might like to see?

what density where the fabrics you used?
@@gamecubekingdevon3 6oz Carbon fiber, 9oz Basalt, 18oz Basalt, , Tri-weave, probably between 5-7oz.

What epoxy are you using?
@@baxydalia just a cheap art epoxy i got from amazon. “Takima”
This is so cool! Any thoughts on how you would add mounts or rails in your layup?
Eu quero esse capacete kkkkk
