Hot Toys’ strengh never was articulation but rather craftsmanship and display. So it’s no wonder they went for a cleaner look rather than an well articulated figure.
The original preorder was a problem only because they asked the same price as regular clothing figures, or close to it. People would not have complained that much if the price was matching what you would get. Overall really happy with the final product ! Can't wait to get it
I'm glad i wasn't the only one that was perfectly fine with the visible joints. I started collecting with 1/12 scale figures and they didn't bother me then, certainly don't now even at a bigger scale. Miguel is my favorite spider-man so I'm picking this guy up regardless, though it would have been nice to have this guy outside of a museum pose
U know what could have worked better? Used the old body unpainted, cuz the proportions were just there, magnificent with all the articulation and them just put a little of a soft fabric that can kinda imitate the look without restricting the articulation to much and there u got it. But i guess baby mans wanted their doll to look more like a doll rather than an accurate action figure. Like TRUE ACTION and not a museum figure, like for that u can get an even more pricier statue or sm.
@@mr.momcollectibles Oh I got it! The best way to pass judgment on a product and call it awful, is by not having it to review in the first place! Perfect! Makes total sense!! Congrats on having 14 Spider-Man hot toys, that definitely makes you so special. No body else has owned that many spider man hot toys before 😂 But those hot toys don’t use this body and you don’t even know what material they used for this either. So…. Yeah. Good job. Makes you a very trustworthy reviewer.
@@mr.momcollectibles lol so this Spider-Man 2099 is awful because the suit creases like every other Spider-Man figure before it? And Hot Toys doing what the majority of their buyers asked for is… bad? Makes perfect sense 😂 The community asked for material and it got material. The smarter members of the community also knew what that would mean when HT made the change. Material bunches up. It’s expected. What do you want HT to do? Defy physics? If you don’t want material and would prefer exposed joints, go buy a mondo figure. Or maybe a 12 inch Marvel Legends is more what you’re looking for?
I think if Hot Toys ‘stuck to their guns’, this figure would have been cancelled.

Sounds like you're super bitter you didn't get your own way 😢

Not as awful as this take.

They pushed back the figures from 2024 to 2025
2:33 pose, legs look awful, but honestly, figures still is pretty cool looking
I’m a hot toys junkie… but ima have to pass on this. 😅
Weren't you crying to change it to this?
the original version was alright
Ngl people would complain either way.
Agreed
I hope they launch the Gwen Stacy ATSV figure, and include the head sculpt and her bare hands and her pink hair shaded
You don’t even have it in hand, my guy.
14 Spider-Man hot toys in my collection don’t need this in hand my guy to know

Doesn’t take an expert my guy to see the creases in all the pics lol 😂

From your remarks, I guess you never actually watched the video lol
I’m getting it
