- Unboxing, setup, & review of a budget aquarium chiller. While attempting to find a cooling solution for my goldfish tank I learned that Aquarium chillers are pretty expensive. When looking at other options I found these cooling fans by Londafish specially made for aquariums. In this video I unbox the fans and let you know how they are working a month later.

Nice video, I have issues on my 2 shrimp tanks in the summer, but I always use JBL Collers, which bring the tank temp down 4 degrees . I did notice you had your fans under your light, which may increase the temp.
How do I put fans and prevent fish from jumping without having to remove so much water?
I have a 30 gallon tank that I want to keep at 77 F (25 C) during the summer. How many fan heads do I need (2, 3, 4, 6)?
Do you know what the average room temperature is? Using a total of 2 fans (so 4 heads) I was able to take a 36g about 4 degrees lower last summer.
dont put them at a 90 angle, just tilt them a little upwards and you'll see the temperature go down a few more degrees as it will cover more area, hope you get my point.
That makes sense, good to know
How would I use these fans with a tank that has a rim around the top? It looks like it's only for rimless tanks
Yeah they are sadly. If the tank is a 20g or smaller they might fit over the rim but for a 40g/55g I have they do not. If you have an LED light you can balance them between that and the corner of the tank. I did this with my 40g. Sorry I can't post a pic in a comment to show you
How do you handle evaporation and calcium build up?
For evaporation I just topped off the tank with water mid week. I have a dehumidifier in the room to soak up the extra moisture. For calcium build up I clean when I re-scape tanks. Otherwise it doesn't really bother me
Thanks, man! My aquarium temp rises up to 33C!
What temperature was before?
@@CyberSWAT turns out that thermometer was error plus minus 3 degree. I bought another digital thermometer. It's around 29C
That good for moss plant 🌱 but 3 shrimp sure hatch too
@@CyberSWAT I dont keep shrimps in the mean times because I think they are supersensitive creatures
I have these:
1 Loud like a rocket ship
2 Shortest power lead in history and i mean real short so you may have to get a extension cord up close to it.
3 Why they put the tighten screw on inside instead of outside is odd so your gonna get wet when setting it up, just a weird choice to me.
Verdict: Piece of shit tbh and that short lead makes it dangerous IMO
