Brilliant job, Anna. You are a miracle! I think her studies with Renata Scotto have made a huge difference in her vocal color and interpretations. Since the Bolena, she just lets it rip and uses the WHOLE voice, unlike all the other Met sopranettas.

I've been in love with her since I first heard her voice. That was years ago and I still enjoy hearing and seeing her perform anything. My yearning preference is to see her as Norma. She is the diva of our time.
She is truly one of the best of our time. Not only is her upper register like molten gold, as a soprano's should be, but her whole range is round and full. Just beautiful. Brava!

Hm... à 20 mètres de la scène, à l'air libre au milieu du Champ de Mars bondé un après-midi ensoleillé de Juillet, pendant une répétition et non un spectacle. Comment voulez-vous que tout le monde se taise? ce n'est pas comme si les chanteurs entendaient! :)

She needs a developed chest voice! Otherwise she tends to thicken and constrict her voice. The best rendition of this aria is sung by "La divina" and by that I mean Claudia Muzio.

Of course..opera singers have chest and mix and head...first is called passagio 1 and passagio 2...And Anna has about 2 and half octavas of range She can sing Cis6( american system) and G3 easily... still even now....She developed chest voice over years very well

I barely talk and that's when Anna is done singing, people around me talk. And Anna can't hear us anyway as we're over 20 meters away.

C'était une répétition et la scène était à des dizaines de mètres du public. Ils avaient donc parfaitement le droit de parler sans gêner les artistes.
