    Thank you for your great video. A very polite and professional captain. Used to fly private jet’s for a couple of super/mega yacht owners and have always been fascinated by yacht ops. Enjoy your content Sir.

    If there is ever a question as to why Fort Lauderdale is considered the yachting capital of the world, this video should answer that. Well done, Captain.

    Great job and thanks for sharing! So many yachts on the Fort Lauderdale New River. I'm at River Reach condo and love these super yachts coming just outside my window. Many residents sit by the west pool just to see the daily boat parade. The riverboat Jungle Queens comes by a couple times a day. Then the super huge motor yacht with the tugs. Cool boat life here in Fort Lauderdale. Thanks again Captain of Hard Times!

    Just found you after a friend live streamed her trip on The River Queen last night. Fascinating river. Killer yachts. Super entertaining to see how all of it works. Thank for sharing. I just subscribed. And “I’m on a boat!” 😆

    New Subscriber, and great stuff and appreciate all the procedures and tech items to help teach us new guys! Are the call outs you make a courtesy or mandatory? You are one of my new favorites, thanks!

      Thanks man!!!! “Slow is pro” as was taught to me in my captain courses. Seems like it could be applied to Spearfishing and life in general too 🤔

      Living on the water you get so many bells and whistles! Somehow I learn to sleep through the non emergency ones!

    That was a cool video to watch! Man, those look like some tight passages. I don't know who are the worst drivers, cars or boats. I bet the small boat drivers are the worst. Lol.

      @910Ventures  10 місяців тому +1

      Spot on with that! Small boats generally can be the ones making the most errors. Not always but they sometimes don’t understand how dangerous they can be!

    Interesting and informative video. If I have enough clearance to get under a bridge by 5’ or so, is there any reason to not transit under the bridge during operation, opening or closing?

    • @910Ventures
      @910Ventures  9 місяців тому

      Great question! No sir. If you are clear then you can pass. And sometimes, if I request for the opening and it’s questionably close the bridge tender will confirm with me that I really need it.
      Sometimes they’ve even had me pull up slowly to confirm it!

    Question I was there two weeks ago and saw the tugs working some big yachts through there
    Are the boats still under power was wondering how they were able to keep the yachts stationary while waiting for the bridges to open.
    Great work very professional

      great question! when you are being towed, you leave engines in idle but you give full control of the vessel to the tow guys. How they keep it stationary is by "pulling" it from both directions

    new to this, what is a security calll?

    • @910Ventures
      @910Ventures  10 місяців тому +1

      “Security call” lets everyone listening to that channel know that I’m NOT making a distress call. Whereas I would say “mayday mayday mayday” if I WAS making a distress call.
      Great question

    Nice work Captain. Can I give you two pieces of advice? First your music still has the unlicensed “artist” overlay on it. Second, I’d work on balancing your background music with your voiceovers. Audio improvements are one of the biggest ways to improve not only subscribers but your watch time as well.

    • @910Ventures
      @910Ventures  10 місяців тому

      Thanks so much for the advice!!! I will grow in this avenue to improve the production quality! Thanks for input 🙏🏼
