“Oh mirror, mirror, how the face you show disgusts me! Bring me a child whose youth my heart is hungry.” Interesting how song lyrics kinda predict this theory, even inadvertently.
It makes sense for the lady to have gone to the pale city before. We saw a room with the lady's picture in the pale city and well there were also a lot of broken mirrors
Thats actually a really important detail, im surprised he didn't pick up on it yet since that detail in itself could create so many theoretical possibilities
This game is all about obsession I see. And you could say strong emotions too. The lady is obsessed with her looks and youth, the guests with food, the viewers with the TVs. I feel like a big part of the lore is a big allusion to society. Great theory btw, it makes so much sense!
That actually kind of makes sense considering six and the music box in the final act of Little Nightmares 2 . We see her listening to it at the beginning of the game, and we see her going crazy trying to protect it in her monster form. Mono is just as obsessively linked with the TV's as well as the Thin man....so maybe the signal tower assigns specific roles to people depending on what their deep obsession/desire is? The lady wants youth and beauty, the teacher wants to be in authority, the doctor wants to experiment with his patients etc.
The Maw means stomach in japanese, so I think the consumption/obsession symbolism is very relevant. Definitely a twisted manifestation of Six's fear, but I believe that the locations and characters in the Maw represent key parts of Six's life before everything got twisted and obsessive.
I love this metaphor, because then you could also say that Mono is innocence and how you can become a product of your experiences. He was good and even though Six dismissed him, he kept saving her, even when she tried to kill him in the tower. He was the caring side of society, the people who are just good. But it only takes a drop to overflow the glass and when Six 'let him go' he became resentfull. Locked up in his head, until the memories come to surface and then he revives the memories over and over again...Obsessed with the one moment that turned him...
I love the theory that Six is the Lady, and recently Tarsier said that the only thing separating people from being Residents on LN world is to lose their inner child. So, taking that into account and knowing Six does eat the Lady and gains her powers, destroying any trace of innocence she could have left. Therefore, she grows to be the Lady. As Mono´s fear was to be alone and he ended up, well...alone and his own enemy, let´s think about Six a second. What would Six´s nightmare be, then? In a world where every adult is crazy, she´s afraid of growing old. And just like Mono´s fear was to be lonely and reached out through the transmission, Six´s fear is to grow old and stops it by absorving the life of those around her. Hence, her hunger. In a weird paradoxical way of the events, neither of them can escape their fate and end up destroyed by their own actions.
You mention that “prehaps she once lived in the pale city” and i wanna point out that there is a very big almost confirmation that she did live in the pale city that ive seen no one talk about, and everyone just gloss over. To find ome of the glitched remains you have to go back on yoursef and go into another apartment room. In that room we see a lady doll like the ones that you see in the first game, and when you smash it you get the achivement of “ladylike” and the description “hello? have we met?”. Also in that room you see a picture of the lady on the dresser. I think this really heavily implies that this is the lady’s old apartment before she found her way onto the maw and therefore she was corrputed by the signal to. Do you have any thoughts on this?
also there's what appears to be blueprints (to the maw perhaps?) that are shoved through the lady's mail slot. this would imply someone/something prepped her for the maw
Here is a theory for you: The signal tower manipulated Six with the specific goal of getting rid of the lady in mind. If we look at the ln comics where we actually see the guests board the ship to the Maw at what seems to be the Pale city and consider that the guests and several of the maw's staff are wearing the masks the doctor makes in ln2 it seems like the signal tower itself is sending them there, explaining why they are in such a trance. The signal tower is *allowing* this to happen. However, why? My theory? The signal tower is actually *afraid* of the Lady and her abilities. As you noticed, her powers are consuming, however, it's also dissolving solid matter. The guests desolve into nothingness when Six gets her powers. I think that's why the Lady is a threat to the signal tower. She is either immune or able to overcome the signal And her abilities would be able to consume the matter of the signal tower. So, to prevent that from happening, the lady and the signal tower struck up a deal. It provides them with humans to feast on once a year while the Lady keeps her distance from the signal tower. This, of course, isn't ideal for the signal tower which manipulates Six into taking the Lady down. That's why her hunger only started once the signal tower had corrupted her and why her glitching remain seems to suggest she go there. Futhermore, it would explain why the doctor died. He no longer held a purpose for the signal since it planed to use Six to take her down. Which would also play into Six's nightmare. Six is terrified of being locked up, objectivied and chases after, that's why it kept happening to her and those themes keep crawling up. They represent Six's biggest fears. Six escapes from the nest, but ends up locked in the hunters cabin, she escapes from there but is kidnapped by the bulies, mono saves her etc. Six is in a constant cycle of being chased down and hunted, being terified of getting stuck somewhere. However, this leads to her being trapped in a timeloop and be turned into a tool of the signal tower.
Maybe the reason the doctor wasn't doing anything about the masks when we saw him was because he knew he was no longer needed which is why he started bringing things to life in an attempt to become immortal so the tower doesn't kill him.
Have you ever thought the next? (my current theory incoming): Imagine LN and LN2 being the same story told by 2 different characters whose fate is becoming their own enemy: Mono turns into Thin Man as well as Six turns into The Lady. Consider that Mono recieve the powers of the Thin Man allowing him to defeat his enemy. Nevertheless, his fatal final makes him end alone letting his power grow until turning into the Thin Man, and there starts the neverending loop. But thinking coldly, Six joins the Maw (taking LN as the sequel to LN2) with the inner evil she showed during LN2, and with the "hunger". She is chased by the Lady until their final showdown, and Six defeats her as Mono defeated his rival. And at the end we see her walking and killing mercilessly some of the humans of the Maw with the powers she got after consuming the Lady; allowing her to reach the top of that "society" by reaching the light at the very end. Also see that the Thin Man and the Lady are the only creatures that seem to be tall and slender, as it was the natural evolution of the same kind of characters that are tiny and thin. So if Mono grows up tall and slender, why wouldnt Six grow in the same way considering they both seem to be phisically very equitative? Btw, sorry if I extended it too much, and sorry if my english sucks. Congrats for the awesome content. Cheers!
in order to confirm that six is the lady we still need to see six/lady do some time travel just like momo did (momo=thin man) but that still didnt happen on any game and this is important because six and the lady are living in the same time period (little nightmares 1) ,is a nice theory but needs that thing before is 100% proven , now if u consider "The lady" as a tittle not a person , then yes six becomes the new lady by absorbing her powers.
I do think the lady lived in the pale city. There's a hidden room there with lady stuff and even a geisha doll; if you break it, you get a lady related achievement
I have a theory about the moth creature in the hidden room. It was bred to eat all the clothes of the vanished people because moths eat clothes. It was possibly found in the woods by the hunter or made by the doctor.
Just saying not all moths eat clothes. Some of them eat nector and some dont have any stomachs. Well the ones that dont have stomachs eat as much as they can when there a larva. Not saying your theroy is wrong just giving you some info. :D
I love this game! The world building is out of this world. And you can just come up with a theory and sometimes it would fit, sometimes its debatable but most importantly they're entertaining as hell
Here is my theory from things that I and some other people have noticed: Mono's description from the official website reads: "His thin paper mask offers some respite, helping him forget that the world outside hates him, and wants him to fail - but he can't stay hidden forever." Now, since we know that Mono becomes the Thin Man, I think it's very likely that others in this world, especially children, know that too. There are drawings of the Thin Man found in places where children would reside throughout the game. I believe that children fear and hate Mono, because they know he is the Thin Man. That's why he keeps hiding his face behind a paper bag. We also know that Six knows the Thin Man. She always tries to stop Mono from getting to the door at the end of the hallway and tries to tell Mono to run away when he finally frees him. I believe that when Six finally sees Mono's face for the first time as she's holding him, she decides to drop him because she realizes he is the Thin Man. Now, considering the time loop thing is true, I find these following parallels very interesting. At the beginning of the game Mono seemingly wakes up from a nightmare about the hallway, and ultimately ends up being the Thin Man. At the beginning of the first game Six wakes up from a nightmare about The Lady and ends up stealing her powers. I believe that Six actually grows up to become The Lady. In Monster Six's room there is that painting of the girl which is also in the first game, except here she has a scratched out face. Why would that painting be in Monster Six's safe space? It must be in some way relevant for her (I think it's either her or The Girl in the Yellow Raincoat). When we first meet Six in the Hunter's cabin, there are drawings of people with scratched out faces. I think it's more like Six has a complex with hiding/disliking her face. In Monster Six's room there are also heads of the dolls The Lady plays with. When you're destroying Monster Six's music box, right at the end before the finishing blow it looks exactly like The Maw. The Lady's description: "Amidst the chaos of the world outside, The Maw is the only place that makes sense. Nothing can be allowed to interfere. The guests must eat. The Maw must survive." When Monster Six is playing with her music box, it represents a safe space for her. When Mono destroys it, and she has no other safe space, she decides to CREATE one, The Maw, in the shape of her music box. I know this is seemingly contradicted by the secret ending, since The Maw already exists, but I think that's where the broken time theory comes in.
I agree. Mono and Thin Man might have different looks, as the latter is so old compared to the former. But of course they will have a resemblance. That's how Six knew Mono was the Thin Man.
With the part about a guest having their hand put in a bucket... I believe it's a practical joke the Nome is pulling, aka "put someone's hand in water while they sleep, and they'll wet the bed."
I definitely believe the paradox theory, that it six turns into the pretender, the pretender become the lady, and the lady becomes the granny. After all, you literally are what you eat.
The Lady keeping the children away from her in order to not be tempted reminds me of that Frog and Toad meme where they try to hide the cookies so that they don't eat them
this is my theory: i think all the timeline is messed up, everything is a loop just like a nightmare that you can’t wake up from. i actually think that the lady is the older six, and the pictures in her bedroom are just from her young self. she destoyed all the mirror because she already knows that her young self will destroy her with one of them, and the picture with her and other people cancelled are actually all her past herselves being defeated by their young version. she’s imprisoning all the children because she’s truing to break the loop, at the end she gave up and let six kill herself because she failed. her little nightmare is to starting this over and over, just like a big loop. sorry if i made some mistakes but i’m not english, hope this make sense to you.
It's really weird that her reflection specifically looks like the granny from the dlc. It almost makes me wonder if that's what her reflection was supposed to imply rather than magical corruption, but this is still a good theory!
This is an interesting theory, but one thing that stops me from believing that this is the case is the fact that we can see the lady's face and the face of all the other characters via the face design for Little Nightmares. In it, she looks normal and not at all like the image we see when she is looking in the mirror. There is also no design showing the distorted face.
Alternate theory: the is six, this would be holding hands with your timeline theory and the way the lady got her powers is from consuming the lady when she was still being known six.
My theory about the portrait of the girl we see in the lady’s quarters, is that it’s the girl in the yellow raincoat. This is mainly based on the fact that-well the girl is uh...she ded But I also don’t believe the girl in the portrait is Six because in LN2 and VLN, six has short hair. However, the girl in the yellow raincoat has long braided hair. And while the girl in the portrait doesn’t have braids, realistically speaking nobody is going to have their hair braided forever. So yeh That’s my theory
I believe girl in raincoat can be her daughter or heir but she run away from the destiny. Besides the fact both has got long hair, the girl in yellow she is a good shape different from other children and maybe she is a little naive because she was protect by lady, Rk or Six would never get near a crying monster and they are underweight
Hey Tericho, so I had a random thought. If time is so broken in the second game, what's to say time isn't broken in the first game? What if the Lady is Six?
It's possible, the time part especially since the clocks don't seem to work. But I still don't think Six is the lady, their personalities are just far too different for me.
@@Tericho that is fair but I thought about it more. What if she got a hunger for power so took the life essence from the children? Keep in mind this is just my mind going all over the place at 11pm lol but it could always be a slight possibility
@@Tericho Just saying the next generation is always differnt and better. Maybe two univeresies are coliding into one another. That can also explain theres two thinman in the world. Not talking about the hanging man! :D
@@cajunseasoning1846 Well the reason why six choose to eat the nome is because the boy had contact with The Lady and The Lady turns people in to nomes so Six assumes that the boy knew her weakness anyways she consums things to gain her knowledge.
I'm rewatching all these theories and I'm thinking... What if the girl from the photos was in fact the lady's daughter, but rather than the lady killing her or whatever what happened was actually that the girl loved watching TV and it caused her to become her monster form? That would be why the lady can't bear to kill her and so keeps her alive in her monster form down in the belly of the maw, feeding her and letting her have furniture, and even the TV she loved watching, and also why the lady no longer allows any TVs in the maw except for the odd one you can find in abandoned, hidden places that weren't yet disposed of?
I'm always stubborn about theories around 3:12 where the man is sleeping because I feel this is simply the gnome playing a very common American prank on the man- kids do this particularly at sleepovers with each other, where you put the sleeping person's hand/fingers in a cup of warm/room temperature water and it makes them wet themselves in their sleep. You'd see this before playing the DLC where you learn that gnomes are children transformed, so I think that was supposed to hint at that connection for the player before it is confirmed at the end of the DLC. Doesn't detract from the theory that the guests were being chopped up and eaten though.
The lady uses her magic to take the life force from the guests then once the have died the chief uses them for meat to feed the other guests. More guest more life force more food
I saw from a few post that data mined "The lady" character model and without a mask she still has a "beautifull" face on the same level as the picture we can see in her place, some people have theory that the mirror are some kind of key to understand the truth, the idea behind it is that mirror reveal what's really inside the person looking into it. Curious I watched a person on twitch play the 1st little nigthmare and there is a moment where Six need to break a mirror in order to progress and that mirror doesn't show the reflection of Six when she pass in front of it. It maybe was a visual bug I didn't double check that so don't take my word for granted.
I think Six always had her life steal ability, just as Mono appears to have always had the signal tune ability. The Numbered Children just have power. The Thin Man, and the Lady of the Maw are just matured numbered children. When the thin man takes people he leaves behind a shadow, this shadow is ambulatory and sentient. perhaps even representing the soul or conscience of those people. Six having been Thin manned is separated from that part of her transforming her into a monster. Though Mono would restore her flesh he is incapable of returning her shadow and he doesn't absorb it as he did with the others, creating a unique situation where the body and the shadow exist in the same dimension yet are separated. Six's fits of hunger have nothing to do with the shadow, that's just part of who she is. Her hunger likely becoming more intense as her innate power grows, until she can longer contain it, much to the surprise of the shadow. I also don't support time loop Mono, as evident by Six and the Lady having similar abilities, people with power are rare, but not unique. Mono and the thin man a merely similar. The Eyeball flesh uses this to its advantage. Replacing one Signal tuner with another. Which leaves the question, Why did Six drop Mono? Simple she was corrupted, touched by the Eye...and though Mono would free her body, Six is no longer Six. Just another minion of the Eye... As she gazed upon Mono's face she realized that he would be very useful to her new master. As for her apparent mission to kill the Lady? Well the Eye doesn't want the competition...Resources are getting scarce and the eyes wants everything it can get.
Thats what i thought !! Six was no longer the six we knew but a slave of the eye thingy, thats why we can see in little nightmares game logo, there's an eye and six is drawn in the middle of it, which indicates six is now the part of the "eye", which is why she continued to the maw to draw life force out of everyone.
This theory makes so much sense. I also think that the Thin Man - the detective, catches the children around the city and then brings them to the Maw. How else would the children get to the Maw? Maybe the Lady told him that the Maw is the only place of normality in this nightmare world and that’s why he would send children there... Maybe he doesn’t know what happens to the children in the Maw... That’s why he tries to catch Mono and Six. He didn’t try to kill them.
ok so i have an explanation for The Lady and the whole mirror thing. In Japanese mythology, geisha were portrayed as beautiful women with no flaws. Their faces, however, were not their real faces. Geisha had monstrous faces and would hide this up with a beautiful almost ethereal mask(their fake face). No one was allowed to see the true face of the geisha, and if they did they would be feasted upon. I personally think that when The Lady looks in the mirror you are seeing her TRUE face which she covers up with her 'mask'.
Lol can you talk about some characters we haven't seen yet there a way that six get to the maw the ferryman grabed six and took her to the maw in a boat
I have a theory based on the children and mainly the eye. So, in all of the LN games, we play as children. All of the children have their eyes covered in some way. This gave me a question to why they all hide their eyes. Even kids in the cages on the Maw mainly have their eyes covered by hair or in their knees. But, most of the monsters don't. What if the Lady or Thin Man (leaning more towards Lady) created this eye to make any living thing that saw the eye do their dirty work, or almost act like a servant to him/her. This might lead to questions, since the Janitor is blind. Now, everyone on the Maw has masks with holes so they can see, breath, and eat. What if the Janitor saw the eye and knew what it was, causing him to try to stop it by pulling his mask over his eyes. Sadly, he was too late. As punishment, the villian kept it that way for trying to resist the eye. People have different jobs, like the doctor creating more servants by using dead bodies caused by televisions and such. The janitor, to send children the chefs way. Maybe the creator made different jobs for each victim. This theory of mine can be very complicated. To wrap it up, most of the villians in this game aren't really villians, and actually victims of the eye created by most likely the Lady. The children know this, so they purposly hide their eyes so when they grow up, they will not become evil. I know this was very long and complicated, but it's just a theory of mine. Have a good day!
Ngl, I'm already afraid of swimming in big bodies of water all on my own, and watching a gameplay of the depths just made me fear the deep end of the swimming pools even more-
I’m starting to think maybe the “lady” in the picture is the grandma and the little girl is our known lady when she was young. Bc get this... WHAT IF the lady is the little girl in littlest nightmares mobile game and when “six “tried to help her, she got jumped and the six we know took the raincoat which made the lady let six have the powers in the end bc she knew who she was. What if somehow the lady survived that fall and took the pretenders power (or a version of it) by consuming her and that’s how she was able to also make nomes and shit. It would explain how the inevitable fate of six eating the lady would come to bc the pictures of the little girl are around six in the tower and what if that’s bc in six nightmare... she felt guilty she couldn’t save the lady from the pretender and thought she was dead... My other theory is, the shadow six is the dead girl six tried to save from the pretender. Maybe the dead girl was wanting to find the pretender bc she wanted that power. the dead girl is actually the little girl in the pictures and thus leading and manipulating six to eventually get to the maw in that timeline. Bc just as mono fought his future self... what if six fought the little girls future self and the dead girl didn’t think six would consume her but the ignorance of the future self thought “this is my past self “ and let her consume her not realizing it’s actually six. Bc mono fighting his future self... his future self didn’t want to kill him. The lady wasn’t trying to kill six either just consume her but ultimately gave up bc she exceeded her powers. Just as when six gets hungry she gets weak. JUST AS when mono gets near a transmission he gets weak too... idk I’m all over the place 😭
@@cajunseasoning1846 that roger (the janitor) had a mother (or grandmother) that made dolls, however she committed a taboo in the maw which caused her to be dumped into the depths by the lady, possible evidence of this theory is that roger drops fish heads and meat down to her.
Maybe ThinMan and the lady is working together . ThinMan trapped the childrens' parents so they won't go look for their children then the lady can eat the children.
I just realized something: When the little girl in the yellow raincoat is falling at 1:30 the raincoat is buttoned up, but then when the raincoat emerges on the surface of the water, it's open. I don't think the Pretender did that, cause if she catches you before the fall the coat is still buttoned up when the body disappears.
I have a theory about LN2 In little nightmares 2 there’s only fully flesh adults / real adults and any non porcelain children found are either killed , captured or eaten. This could also link to the fact that the adults feed off the children because of their innocence and pure soul which powers the eye and its power. And those children that are fed to the eye are turned into hollow porcelain. Taking away their soul and their innocence inside turning them into the bullies designed to capture other children like they captured six and bullied her almost like they were trying to break her spirit
Tbh my theory is that the signal tower slows down time and the stuff around it, the time in the signal tower works different which causes the place city to follow along. Mono is the only one stuck in a loop and because six escapes the signal tower she is not. I also think that the pretender is the lady instead of it being six because they share similar traits, they both have a collection of dolls, and they kinda sorta have the same power. For example when the lady turns Runaway Kid into a nome all of his clothes drop to the floor, the same thing happens to the Raincoat Girl when the pretender touches her, sure we don't see her turn into a nome, but it makes sense if u put it together. There are also a bunch of nomes running around the nest so yeah. Unlike Mono the pretender (the lady) is not stuck in a loop, after six eats the lady she heads off on her journey somewhere else, that's why we see her leaving the maw at the end of part 1. And my theory for the reason why Six dropped Mono is because she completely forgot who he was due to either the signal tower or because she has a hard time remembering things and ppl, so when mono broke her music box she probably thought he was a stranger or something so she dropped him
Man, you got the best theories with some actual evidence to back up what you're saying. Most people just make assumption after assumption. Great work man 👍
This game is so good that I cannot stop thinking about it. I finished all of them last week. They blew my mind. I don't even want to pick up another game after this, because I doubt many will top LN series.
I thought some of the chapters matched to the seven deadly sins, the lady lust for eternal life, the guests gluttony, the doctor’s patients envy for beauty, the thin man, wrath for six. The doctor pride in his work. If there’s a new game sloth and greed may be introduced. The signal tower leaving people into the sin that fueled them. Turning them into what made them their darkest soul.
I just randomly thought what if the picture in the lady’s room you mention of a kid with scratched out eyes was important to her like a family member that’s why she is seen holding the doll since it reminds her of the child or it reminds her of when she was younger. Also idk if any of this is true or not or if I’m missing something.
I finished watching your "six isn't the lady" theory video and at one part you stated all three of the little nightmares games in a sorta backwards order "The nest, little nightmares 2 and little nightmares 1" which shocked me and made sense to me considering the way the rain coat traveled throughout all 3 games, it started at the nest and six got a hold of it but when six got stolen by the hunter in little nightmares 2 maybe it slipped off she eventually gets it back throughout the game and in little nightmares 1 she never finds or loses the coat. Idk that's just a new maybe different way and or order to look at the whole little nightmare world
6:33 The Lady has a house in the city. It's a secret room where you have to go across a roof and go through the second window in LN2. So I think she did live in the city at one point
Okay this is the first theory I've seen in little nightmares' entire lifetime that just clicks. It makes so much sense, this is incredible! The lady being afraid of being ugly just makes sense. Also ironically enough I just played through the first game's DLC today again.
11:41 While studying the image of The Lady and the child next to her, I realized something. The child is wearing YELLOW clothing. I wonder if the child presented here is somehow tied to The Child in the Raincoat; they are wearing the same color. The Lady and The Pretender BOTH have living areas where they display children- granted The Pretender has child dolls instead of real children, but both characters display the need to showcase this fixation on children. Perhaps The Pretender lived on to become The Lady while The Child in the Raincoat went on to become The Granny? Maybe it's all just a form of evolution for the characters?
the girl with the flashlight looks exactly the same as the girl on the painting. if we assume that this is the granny it would make sense why she lured us to her, seemingly disappearing and leaving the flashlight behind. we thought she was killed but maybe she wasn't alive at all. maybe it was the shadow of the granny or idk that wanted to lure us down there so the she can consume us in hope she gets her youth back. perhaps that's the reason why she was abandoned. remember the TV we used to distract the janitor? it has different channels, one of them shows a kid in a bed. then we see a shadow figure that wants to harm it, as it seems. that could be the granny that was desperate to get her youth back, killing other childrens and was then abandoned in to the depth by the lady, only giving her fish to eat. that's my theory
This is one of those theories that I doubt was intentionally set up by the game creators but I absolutely love it. It doesn't need to be "canon" to be a really cool theory/idea
6:33 the lady did live in the pale city, there is an entire hidden room with the lady theme and all that in pale city, I think there's one of the glitched children there
I liked how you connected the granny to the lady. While I don’t believe the granny is the lady’s daughter, I do agree that she might be related to her. @13:29 it shows the masked lady standing next to a young girl, I believe this girl is the main character in very little nightmares (lady’s daughter). The granny on the other hand I believe she could be the lady’s TWIN! @13:29 you showed 2 pictures at the bottom of the same girl with the face of one of them crossed over. What if they were twins and the lady took the youth of her twin causing her to age into the granny? If you pay attention to the reflection of the lady in the DLC, she does resemble the granny’s face minus the decaying effects caused by staying in water for long years. This will connect the dots in why the lady abandoned the granny to the depths of the Maw yet kept taking care of her and feeding her. Think about that!
I think she absolutely used the live in the city, we don't know how she got to the maw but in little nightmares 2 an we go through an apartment that seems to have been hers there's a picture of her and the maw I believe that makes this viable.
Remember how he says in her room is what she will see? It could be what she did see or anyone who is wondering the probable reason he is saying what she will see is because she doesn't actually know the music box so this could change the whole timeline...
I think the sleeping guest with their hand in a bucket is something else than what you’re interpreting. This might have been said, but It looks like an old style prank that kids used to do at sleep-overs and the gnome is playing it on the guest. The prank is supposed to cause the sleeping person to wet their bed. The gnome is touch in the bucket like they pushed it there and also seems to giggle
there is concept art for the spoon girl, it looks like the girl in the painting 1:00 another thing is that it could be raincoat girl but it looks so much like the concept art for the spoon girl, the one in the little nightmares concept art, the comic version of her doesn't look like this but the other concept version that isn't in the comic looks like this, just with brown hair
Are you talking about the painting which is covered with the cloth/non hanging ones ? If yes then yea i also think that she might be the spoon girl, she looks so much like her. Also, I guess the yellow raincoat girl is the one in the painting which is uncovered, and yea, the spoon girl is the one which is covered.
I'm still pretty sure that the granny was the lady before, and then the lady replaced her, and she got abandoned, and then six becomes the next lady, and the cycle continues. Also I agree with the comment that the lady is'nt actually ugly, but I think that instead of it showing what she thinks she looks like it shows what her future will look like, and she tries to prevent that and that's why she consumes the souls of the children.
On the foto of 5 people here 6:16 is foto of the all 6 childrens except for mono because he is alone in the chair. As tericho said six/lady maybe finds a way to stay alive longer and mono/signal man can travel through the time and space. So maybe thats why they all exist in the same time but other 4 childerns are dead. (PLEASE sorry if my english is bad or my theory is wrong in some way, it just occurred to me as I watched the video )
My head canon was that the little nightmares universe was the result of adults who hate what they have become, powerful people whose worst nightmares are being lived out by them now and the children are a version of the adults. It is them trying their best not to turn into the adults that they don't want to be. Mono not wanting to becoming thin man or Six not wanting to become like the lady.
This is more complicated than my math quiz but I'm more interested in this than my math quiz
One reasons is you don't have to answer the questions in here while in math aside from complicated you are forced and pressured to solve and answer XD
SAMMEE. Im more interested in stuff that are more complicated than math just as long as its interesting
For us students, its always anything but maths 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Same now for me

It makes sense for the lady to have gone to the pale city before. We saw a room with the lady's picture in the pale city and well there were also a lot of broken mirrors
Thats actually a really important detail, im surprised he didn't pick up on it yet since that detail in itself could create so many theoretical possibilities
The lady started reading books and stopped watching the TV to stop the process of her face getting overly messed up
This game is all about obsession I see. And you could say strong emotions too. The lady is obsessed with her looks and youth, the guests with food, the viewers with the TVs. I feel like a big part of the lore is a big allusion to society.
Great theory btw, it makes so much sense!
And making it mysterious enough to make us obsessed with this franchise, subtly involving us with the lore of the games
@@cajunseasoning1846 I am definitely obsessed with this game 😭😭😭

@@pandacookie7394 ln theorists in 2048: FINALLY IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW
I love the theory that Six is the Lady, and recently Tarsier said that the only thing separating people from being Residents on LN world is to lose their inner child.
WOW
Idk why but i felt that. ;-;
I actually was thinking the same thing!
Damn. You just said some real bonafide shit right there
Yeah wow dope
I noticed mirrors were broken in houses in the Pale City too.
Also like, the whole city too
six can kill the lady with the mirror's
Do you have any thoughts on this?
the achievement was actually called “unladylike”
@@femylin Ah yes thank you!!
That explains quite a lot!
also there's what appears to be blueprints (to the maw perhaps?) that are shoved through the lady's mail slot. this would imply someone/something prepped her for the maw
@@eurhiafe I always did believe the maw was made as a place for her to stay sheltered and kept away from whatever was to come
Here is a theory for you: The signal tower manipulated Six with the specific goal of getting rid of the lady in mind.
Wow this is a really good theory
That is a cool ass theory
wouldn't make sense he ee cold insta kill her
Oh shit it makes so much sense
Maybe the reason the doctor wasn't doing anything about the masks when we saw him was because he knew he was no longer needed which is why he started bringing things to life in an attempt to become immortal so the tower doesn't kill him.
Have you ever thought the next? (my current theory incoming):
Imagine LN and LN2 being the same story told by 2 different characters whose fate is becoming their own enemy: Mono turns into Thin Man as well as Six turns into The Lady.
@@anlata9999 it's mono btw 😂😂
I do think the lady lived in the pale city. There's a hidden room there with lady stuff and even a geisha doll; if you break it, you get a lady related achievement
I have a theory about the moth creature in the hidden room.
It was bred to eat all the clothes of the vanished people because moths eat clothes. It was possibly found in the woods by the hunter or made by the doctor.
I confirm I found it sleeping on a tree, put it on a cage and thrown it to the ocean or leave it out of my wilderness

I love this game! The world building is out of this world. And you can just come up with a theory and sometimes it would fit, sometimes its debatable but most importantly they're entertaining as hell
Here is my theory from things that I and some other people have noticed:
Mono's description from the official website reads:
"His thin paper mask offers some respite, helping him forget that the world outside hates him, and wants him to fail - but he can't stay hidden forever."
Now, since we know that Mono becomes the Thin Man, I think it's very likely that others in this world, especially children, know that too.
The Lady's description:
"Amidst the chaos of the world outside, The Maw is the only place that makes sense. Nothing can be allowed to interfere. The guests must eat. The Maw must survive."
When Monster Six is playing with her music box, it represents a safe space for her. When Mono destroys it, and she has no other safe space, she decides to CREATE one, The Maw, in the shape of her music box.
I know this is seemingly contradicted by the secret ending, since The Maw already exists, but I think that's where the broken time theory comes in.
Thats sad about the music box she created a safe space 🥺
:0
Yes this makes sense
It's really weird that her reflection specifically looks like the granny from the dlc.
It almost makes me wonder if that's what her reflection was supposed to imply rather than magical corruption, but this is still a good theory!

This is an interesting theory, but one thing that stops me from believing that this is the case is the fact that we can see the lady's face and the face of all the other characters via the face design for Little Nightmares. In it, she looks normal and not at all like the image we see when she is looking in the mirror. There is also no design showing the distorted face.
Maybe she doesn’t actually look like what we see in the mirror, rather it’s just showing us how she views herself
Developers:let's just put some random paintings to make it creepy
People: omg that's her mom OMFG!!!!!!
AHAHAA!
3 YEARS!
AND IT ALMOST CHOKED ME!
Alternate theory: the is six, this would be holding hands with your timeline theory and the way the lady got her powers is from consuming the lady when she was still being known six.
My theory about the portrait of the girl we see in the lady’s quarters, is that it’s the girl in the yellow raincoat.
This is mainly based on the fact that-well the girl is uh...she ded
But I also don’t believe the girl in the portrait is Six because in LN2 and VLN, six has short hair.
However, the girl in the yellow raincoat has long braided hair.
And while the girl in the portrait doesn’t have braids, realistically speaking nobody is going to have their hair braided forever.
So yeh
That’s my theory

More guest more life force more food
you can get a mask that looks like the lady, so a lot of people theorize she's the lady, but i don't really understand that theory too much
I saw from a few post that data mined "The lady" character model and without a mask she still has a "beautifull" face on the same level as the picture we can see in her place, some people have theory that the mirror are some kind of key to understand the truth, the idea behind it is that mirror reveal what's really inside the person looking into it. Curious I watched a person on twitch play the 1st little nigthmare and there is a moment where Six need to break a mirror in order to progress and that mirror doesn't show the reflection of Six when she pass in front of it. It maybe was a visual bug I didn't double check that so don't take my word for granted.
I just lost 7 brain cells, but I loved every second of this video

14:35 sixs shadow looks alot like the ferryman or someone else any ideas

I just realized something: When the little girl in the yellow raincoat is falling at 1:30 the raincoat is buttoned up, but then when the raincoat emerges on the surface of the water, it's open. I have a theory about LN2
In little nightmares 2 there’s only fully flesh adults / real adults and any non porcelain children found are either killed , captured or eaten.
Im am the fist one
And my theory for the reason why Six dropped Mono is because she completely forgot who he was due to either the signal tower or because she has a hard time remembering things and ppl, so when mono broke her music box she probably thought he was a stranger or something so she dropped him
I actually think that too, the exact way u said it
My mind was blown when I saw the Granny's picture and the Portrait of the girl side by side.

Just finished playing LN 1 and both DLCs again trying to spot references to LN2, so this is perfectly timed for me. Great stuff, thanks.
There is actually a secret room in the pale city with the ladys stuff
Love your theories dude! Your videos help me when im feeling kinda down :3
I just randomly thought what if the picture in the lady’s room you mention of a kid with scratched out eyes was important to her like a family member that’s why she is seen holding the doll since it reminds her of the child or it reminds her of when she was younger.
Idk that's just a new maybe different way and or order to look at the whole little nightmare world
We now have confirmation from the devs, it goes VLN > LN2 > LN1
Bro your theory actually makes the image with the monster standing over the child's bed on the tv make sense
A child is everything to a mother. If you hurt a child you are going to fase a agressive and agry mother. And a agry mother is dangerous.
Also ironically enough I just played through the first game's DLC today again.
this guy makes the best theories out there ive never seen anyone on his level.
Extrem interesting your videos and I adore your way of narrating. I can’t stop watching 😂
Thank you for all amazing Little Nightmares’ theories! I am your new fan & subscriber! 👍😄
There's a room in LN2 in the city with what seems to be a picture of the lady and one of those statues from LN1. So she might have lived there once.
Maybe it's all just a form of evolution for the characters?
the granny has a similar dress to the missing girl as well and stands in a similar way
the girl with the flashlight looks exactly the same as the girl on the painting.
if we assume that this is the granny it would make sense why she lured us to her, seemingly disappearing and leaving the flashlight behind.
we thought she was killed but maybe she wasn't alive at all.
maybe it was the shadow of the granny or idk that wanted to lure us down there so the she can consume us in hope she gets her youth back.
perhaps that's the reason why she was abandoned.
remember the TV we used to distract the janitor? it has different channels, one of them shows a kid in a bed. then we see a shadow figure that wants to harm it, as it seems.
that could be the granny that was desperate to get her youth back, killing other childrens and was then abandoned in to the depth by the lady, only giving her fish to eat.
that's my theory
This is one of those theories that I doubt was intentionally set up by the game creators but I absolutely love it. It doesn't need to be "canon" to be a really cool theory/idea
I love falling asleep to your videos!! sometimes if I'm mega stoned I dream about Mono
4:38 is perfect 😂😂
Remember how he says in her room is what she will see? It could be what she did see or anyone who is wondering the probable reason he is saying what she will see is because she doesn't actually know the music box so this could change the whole timeline...
I think the sleeping guest with their hand in a bucket is something else than what you’re interpreting. This might have been said, but It looks like an old style prank that kids used to do at sleep-overs and the gnome is playing it on the guest. The prank is supposed to cause the sleeping person to wet their bed. The gnome is touch in the bucket like they pushed it there and also seems to giggle
dude i agree with you theories so much that a fortune teller would say your my twin
there is concept art for the spoon girl, it looks like the girl in the painting 1:00 another thing is that it could be raincoat girl but it looks so much like the concept art for the spoon girl, the one in the little nightmares concept art, the comic version of her doesn't look like this but the other concept version that isn't in the comic looks like this, just with brown hair
Your videos brighten my day
Thank you! I am so glad you enjoy them!
But the ending of the DLC shows that when she feeds on children's essence it leaves them as gnomes...?
4:37 I like your funny words, deep man
On the foto of 5 people here 6:16 is foto of the all 6 childrens except for mono because he is alone in the chair.
