You'd be fabulous as the two stepsisters!
We would have TOO MUCH FUN 🤣🤣
My 2 daughters were the stepsisters in the play, not the musical, and they had sooo much fun! You’d be so good!!! I just love your bops!!!!
THERE’S A BALLET REIGN PLAYLIST??!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My favourite is actually from a modern ballet. I love the Tea Party scene music from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland! The fact that it incorporates tap dancing into the music along with the dance, as well as the playfulness and chaos of the piece, just makes me smile every time.
Omg that scene is just TOO FABULOUS 🤩🤩
I love it too! I will add the red Queen scene and the caterpillar scene. I did not know this ballet existed but the caterpillar scene was recommended by UA-cam. In less than 30 seconds, I vowed to find and buy this DVD, and I did! ❤
@@dronesclubhighjinks I first saw it on Sky Arts tv channel, then went to the Royal Ballet's website and found a DVD of the performance! Love it. And yes I totally agree with the Red Queen scene, with her "bad" dancing.
@@nataliedunn5239 😄🙌💝
Can you do a ballet analysis on Romeo and Juliet?
Listening to the intro to Rite of Spring makes me think, “ So that’s where John Williams got his opening notes for Jurassic Park. And remember, the dinosaur scene in Fantasia ( old Disney feature cartoon to classical music) is all to the Rite of Spring. .
The music that plays in Coppelia when Swanhilda and her friends wind up the mechanical dolls is growing on me. Such a cute happy little tune
My favorite bop ballet music is Dance of the Knights from Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev - and cranked up to as loud as possible.
That's the exact music in my head when I walk into meetings at work! Extra points!
YESSSSS 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
YEP YEP YEP
yessssssss!
Absolutely!
I'm looking forward to your mazurka flashmob video. 😉
It absolutely NEEDS to happen 😆😆
Eden bopping to the Swan Lake entrance is the cutest thing ever. Ducksquisite!
🍊
Mazurka flash mob, gooooooo!
I think ballet music is such a bop because they're written to be moved to/with
Wow that’s true!! That’s why it’s so boppable 🤩🤩🎧✨
The footage of the ducks running in the first Tchaikovsky piece! 😂I'm dying. Your bop videos are the BEST! :)
Thank you sm 😂 We love bopping with y’all! 🦆 🦆
FYI here's the list:
Tchaikovsky, Swan Lake Act 1 No. 1 (Prince Entrance)
Stravinsky, Riot of Spring
Khachaturian, Spartacus and Phrygia, pas
Delibes, Coppelia, the Mazurka
Offenbach, Barcarolle Gaite parisienne
Delibes, Le Corsaire, Jardina anime
Prokofiev, Cinderella, Waltz
Minkus, La Bayadere Act 1 Pas
Messager, The two pigeons, Act 1 pas
Helsted Gade Paulli, Napoli, Finale
Thank you for posting this! The full playlist is also available in the description box for y’all 🎧✨
I loved the duck waddling everywhere - it really made my cat watch it with me. lol, Very Cute!
Haha so happy to have kitty ballet nerds with us! 😂😂
I want to ask where can I find the duck video with the music? I want to watch it.
SPARTACUS YES. I can not describe how precious de pas de deux is. It is one of the most emotional pieces ever.
Not properly a bop, but the Egina scene at the Roman party is formidable.
when you said copellia mazurka, my ptsd came flooding back. as somebody who has had to listen to this in rehearsals I kid you not I had nightmares of this music while getting forced to polonaise. lowk a bop but I'm still traumatised
Thanks for bopping with us. 😂
“Make the air wiggle in a way that makes your brain think of a pigeon” no joke, I literally spit out the water I was drinking I laughed so hard 😂
Loved this video! There were so many pieces from ballets I’m unfamiliar with, so that was fun to learn about ☺️
HAHA 🤣🤣 glad to have a good laugh with u today and that you learned some new pieces to listen to! 🎧✨🫰🏻
I have loved Stravinsky since I was a kid! I am a musician so his music gives me chills. And Khachaturian gets me in my soul. His chord progressions were so new for the time and so emotional, purposely, because of the strength of his ideals. He was a proponent of Communism and wanted to show the oppression of “royalty” ie: the Roman Empire et al. So plaintive. I’m not in any way pro Communism but I understand the intensity of ideals and Khachaturian was an idealist.
My fave is still nutcracker pas de deux, the music is so beautiful
U can never go wrong with Tchaikovsky✨✨
Love the ducks!
We love duckies 🦆🦆🦆😆😆
The opening of Rite of Spring convinces me even more that we need a Wind in the Willows ballet - That music fits an opening scene of the riverbank or entering the Wild Wood
One of my favorite pieces is Guests Depart from the Nutcracker! I love Tchaikovsky, and that piece really feels like night, and saying goodbye after a fun party! Also, Little Red Riding Hood from The Sleeping Beauty is very fun! A LOT of Sleeping Beauty is amazing to be fair, though. I also ADORE Giselle. The finale of Act 1 and Act 2 is just perfect!
Yesss Tchaikovskyyyyy 😁😁 those are all wonderful pieces! 🎧
Your mazurka section made me think of a story that Oscar Levant told - he was a gifted and very unstable pianist, and friend of George Gershwin (he specialized in Gershwin's music as a sort of lifelong tribute to his friend after George's untimely death from a brain tumor). Anyway. He said he was pulled over for speeding one day. He explained to the cop that he couldn't help it: he'd be humming the Fourth Movement of Beethoven's Seventh Symphony. When the cop kind of stared at him, Levant hummed some of it for him. The cop agreed no one could not speed up while listening to this.
And, by the way, Happy Mozart's Birthday today? He liked bopping too.
Eden is a cute ball of happiness and joy
I hope that you knew me as one of the people who would scream Mazurka. I absolutely love this one. It's one of the ones I listen to the most. Please do a Mazurka flashmob
U were the first person that came to mind😆😆. It’s the best mazurka in the history of time and a flash mob is def in order 🎧🎧✨
This mazurka is so amazing! I ❤ listening to it.😊
I do also have a very warm spot from so many pieces of the Nutcracker, particularly Waltz of the Flowers, but I also put this down to watching Disney's Fantasia constantly, growing up. It wasn't until I was older that I realised where the music really came from. But I do genuinely have Disney to thank for introducing me to Classical Music, as a kid.
Nutcracker is so nostalgic ✨✨✨ so wonderful to have been exposed to classics at a young age!
Fantasia was a fantastic movie and introduction to classical music. That and sleeping beauty are the only two Disney movies I watched as a kid. Back when Disney was about art, not money….
Spartacus captured the turbulence of the ocean and romance of sailing. It was the theme to British period seafaring drama 'The Onedin Line'. Turn up the sound on a rainy day and imagine waves breaking over a sailing ship❤❤
This is perfect. Just LOVE the ducks in the Swan Lake session lol. All the animations are wonderful. You both make this a joy to watch and listen to,
Haha thank u so much, we’re so glad u enjoyed this video! We love duckies so much lol 😂🦆💟
The rite of spring , Giselle , la bayadere is my favourite ballet's ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ i love all ballets but this three is my favourite ❤
The Rite of Spring! This bop is the best!!!
*aggressive bopping continues* 🎧🎧
😂😂😂😂🤣😅😂 showing ducks running to the music was funny. I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to see girls your age getting this excited about classical music 😳 You just don't see that at all in today's world. You know the names of the instruments and the composers, the nuances and story. This is my favorite video of yours. I'm a dancer, not ballet buy I LOVE watching it. I just really appreciate your knowledge and the excitement you expresses and the joy you feel sharing your feelings with us, your audience. I just learned about you 2 recently. I'm so glad, watching two young women going crazy abd "bopping" to classical music is just so great to watch.
On the Swan Lake Act 1 Scene 1, the build up is incredible because the timpani is doing a low roll on the same note all the way from the end of the prologue with a very slow crescendo. The effect is like rolling thunder that builds and it feels like a storm coming in. Then suddenly the storm hits with that rising chromatic procession and the strings drop like a wild downpour. It’s such an exciting moment! But Swan Lake has so many of these moments of musical genius.
OMG!!! Winnie the Pooh doing the mazurka!!! Genius!!!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
The fact that their vibes matched so perfectly… 😂😂
“Thank-you for coming!” I love it. And you.
(I’ve been known to bop for the Dance of the Knights in Romeo and Juliet.)
Aww thank u 🥹🥹 dance of the knights is SUCH a bop 🎧✨👏🏻
@@balletreign Absolutely!.
Well today I learned Nina Pinzaronne's music from her 2023-2024 free skate is from a ballet. The program has been more of an acquired taste, but I always liked the music. Now I want to rewatch it with context from the ballet if you do a commentary on Spartacus.
BEST BOPS - but really I'm here for the captions! Shout out to whoever does them - DYOOBIE DYOO PAH PAH 🤣
Haha! We all love the subtitler 💟🤣🤣
Well, I can already see The Rite of Spring in the background so this video gets an immediate two thumbs up from me 😉
Hehehe 😆😆
If I knew nothing about the two of you, I can totally tell that you both are dancers, just by how your bodies move when you hear the music. Musicians do it too but they are usually just moving to the beat or simplified movements to main parts but you guys did a kind of “chair ballet.” I loved this video and all of your others!
There are soooooo maaaannnnyyyyy ballet bops I could suggest, but two of my favorites is the Coppélia finale and Sylvia act one Fanfare! (That’s what the piece is called on Apple Music lol) Is it a coincidence that both of those ballets are composed by Delibes? Possibly 😂
Delibes’s music has a very distinct tone, it always makes us smile! 😆😆
The Fanfare....YESSS.
I bopped to the Swan Lake entrance this morning while doing my ballet bun for the day!!
The perfect morning vibes 🎧⛅️✨🎀
Love the “Rite of Spring!!!!!”
*aggressive bopping* 😆😆
First, I would absolutely love for y'all to do a Mazurka flash mob I just wish I would be there with y'all to be apart of the fun. Second, all of these are really good music to bop to. I'm always listening to Swan Lake, Snow and Waltz of the Flowers from Nutcracker. I also go back and forth on Sleeping Beauty and Don Q as well (gotta have me some Kitri vibes).
Bop-ing (probably two pp) to the thought of the Mazurka flashmob and the orange harvest! I just love the hand dancing you two do, brings a lot of certified joy!
Figure skating pairs have often used the Spartacus love theme. Love it!
It’s such a beautiful piece for any kind of performance 🎧✨
I loved the barcarolle when I saw Powell and Pressburger's film. Didn't know it's part of that ballet which Massine choreographed I believe.
The two pigeons! Nice! I live in New York so I hate pigeons 😅But I actually love those two! I wish all the pigeons in NY are like that.
Same ... but I can't bring myself to hate pigeons.
My top favorite ballet bop has to be the cymbal crashes in Paquita Adagio!
And the tree growing scene in The Nutcracker 🎄
Both are such iconic scenes with exquisite music!! Thanks for sharing ur faves ✨🎧
YES-flash mob PLEASE!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Aww, you remembered my trigger warning :D
Surely there's many of us who hear the dum-dum-dum-dum-BUM PUM BUM PUM BUM PUM and want to run away fast. It's just such a CREEPY ballet. More than Petrushka.
LOVE THIS!!!!! ❤❤❤
Mazurka and jardin anime>>>>> they’re both my favorite parts of the ballet they belong to
Exactlyyy 🎧✨🫰🏻
Omg the coppelia mazurka is my favourite piece. It’s my dream to dance and if I could do it as a flashmob that would be insane
OMG! This is me, when I close the door to my office and put on my fav "ballet bop". BTW, the ducks running to SL made my day! 😁
Khatchuturian did write more ballets! I love Gayane! I never got to see it until UA-cam, because it isn't performed outside if former Soviet Music countries. But yhe music is GLORIOUS!
Here's a clip of the ballet from the Soviet era. ua-cam.com/video/ujxubBZ8MEU/v-deo.htmlsi=WfG3RkqfTHhIZ15-
Khachaturian was Armenian, BTW.
@@guerramarioalberto I know! But he wrote "Soviet Era" music! 😻
I cast my vote for Scheherazade! It's an under rated ballet with glorious, colorful music by Rimsky-Korsakov. It's quite different from a lot of classical ballet music; it has major Arabian influences, with snakey bassoon and clarinet lines and "eastern" scales and tonalities, but written by a late romantic Russian composer. (Think Arabian Dance from the Nutcracker, to anyone unfamilar). Also the set and costumes are incredible. I love this ballet so much.
What a fun video. The Mazurka is so energetic and uplifting! Love it
The mazurka is one of the best! ✨😆😆 thanks for coming today!
That was thoroughly enjoyable, Jordan and Eden, especially as it included Stravinsky. My particular favourite piece of ballet music is the first act pas de deux from Nutcracker, where Clara dances with the Nutcracker. It never fails to make me sob, in a very happy way, of course! Thank you.
Aww thanks! So happy u enjoyed 😆😆. That pdd is absolutely MAGICAL ❄️✨ we included it in our previous bop session 😁😁
Another hauntingly beautiful piece is the main theme from "Fountain of Bakhchisarai" ua-cam.com/video/5F-aiE-CLM8/v-deo.htmlsi=1qfsLVRcvrSaNHdi
I love the Spartacus music. Great selection!! One that I enjoy greatly is The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra by Benjamin Britten. It was originally written for a documentary film called Instruments of the Orchestra but Vicente Nebraska choreographed a small ballet called Doble Corchea which I adore. 🎵🎶
Fantastic video!! I personally love the Sugar Plum Pas de deux. The music is literal perfection ❤
Tchaikovsky is the best!! ✨✨✨
So now I watched - and bopped - to the end: thanks for another Saturday evening happiness!
On a more sombre note: Khachaturian isn't very well known, but perhaps you'll recognise this waltz which gives me shivers:
ua-cam.com/video/fPp3Qh-GRqs/v-deo.html
Allegedly he wrote this when Moscow was under the shells of the Germans in WWII ...
The Russians didn't promote / export their Soviet era composers the way they should have. But Khachaturian (Spartacus, Gayane) and Asafyev (Fountain of Bakhchisarai, Flames of Paris) composed some must see ballets with seriously good music
My favorite ballet bop is Trepak from Nutcracker and Don Quijote Act 3 from the wedding (I guess, everything).
My personal faves are Swan Lake op 20 act 4 no 28, and the Giselle adagio
Both are absolutely fabulous 🎧🎶✨
I'd add the "Giselle" Albercht variation.
The "Barcarolle". So good that Roberto Begnini used it in such a way the it made me cry like a baby...
I danced to Le Corsaire Jardin Animé over summer intensives. I was so pretty and fun!!!
Aww that’s so wonderful!! ✨✨✨
Omg Kingdom of the Shades and that Spartacus pas de deux is incredible, such gorgeous choreo
Both are absolutely breathtaking 🤩🤩
I'm not sure, but I think the Jardin Anime piece is another tune from Delibes. It sounds like him. I know they throw in bits and pieces of La Source into other ballets from time to time. This isn't from that though, I don't think.
Fun girls thank you. Want to see you really dance next time. Black swan variation for me with all those fouettés banging out
Hahaha one day!! 😂😂 thanks for coming 🫰🏻
As a creative writer, I promise I will not be poaching these ballet bops for any of my writing playlist. 😇
I LOVE YOU GUYS!! Ballet was my true introduction to Classic music, mostly to listen and actually appreciate the complexity of the composer. as a ballet dancer Tchaikovsky is my favorite
Thank you sm! Thank you for being the best ballet nerds out there 😊
Great list girls, thank you! I love Stravinsky, and Spartacus adagio and this Bayadere piece always touch me too. In regards of really beautiful ballet music - Raymonda, especially the whole hongrois pas
Thanks for sharing ur favorites! Thanks for listening with us 🎶🎧✨
It was fun to bop with you again! I have been postponing, sorry, as I'm recently rather skipping too long videos, but I really hope to catch on on your channel again, I promise! I love your choice of pieces, such like Le Jardin anime - one of my favorite ballet pieces, too. I didn't know that the Barcarole by Offenbach is used in Gaite Parisienne, I love this piece from "Tales of Hoffmann" very much, and I'm delighted to know now that it also counts as ballet music! (I also love his only actual ballet Le Papillon also very much). It was probably a true fate coincidence that you put it after delightful Coppelia, as both - Tales of Hoffmann and Coppelia - are inspired by Der Sandmann by E.T.A. Hoffmann. Yeah, and Tchaikovsky knows how to make a good beginning (especially in extreme surprise differences, that opening after the dark introduction...)
Aww it was nice to have u! 😁😁 Thanks for sharing ur favorites 🎧✨
Ahh yay another bop video! I loved your last bop video and this one too. I was bopping in the middle of lunch to swan lake act 1 opening. But tbh imo the best swan lake bop piece has to be the black swan coda 😩👌👌👌.
Also 🍊🍊
Thank you sm for bopping with us! 🍊 🍊 🍊
Ballet music is great! This was beautiful, thank you!
Glad to have u bop with us! Ballet music always hits 🎧✨
This is one of your best videos, if possible, because all are wonderful. Love the way you listen to music and it's quite the same as mine: deep immersion.
Wow, thank you! Glad you enjoyed this one. Love bopping with you all
I wish you guys could analyze Allesandra Ferri in the ballet William Tell, it's hard to find this excerpt on YT. But she gets such an ovation at her incredible dancing. Have not been able to find the whole video. It's Ferri and Manuel Carreno. You ladies will love it. The part Im talking about is where Ferri is captured by the soldiers and is thrown around, she never broke character even as the standing ovation continued
Jordan Den
I love this kind of videos, I always discover new pieces! Thank you girls!
The duet of the stepsisters is so funny, it's impossible not to smile when you listen to it!
My best bopping sessions (apart from Coppélia's Mazurka and the 4 little swans of course) : Désiré's variation act 3, Clog's Dance from La Fille mal gardée, Kitri's entrance, Nikiya's first variation... And the whole Nutcracker (I'm obsessed)!! (You can't go wrong with the Nutcracker). I also love waltz in general!
A piece of music not popular enough I think : Anitra's dance from Peer Gynt. Very beautiful!
You girls crack me up and make me smile when I need it most. 🥰😍❤️
29:30 little curiosity. In Italian whena couple is in love and they are sweet and basically can't take their hands off of each other we say that couple is like two little pigeons "piccioncini" cause they look like two nesting pigeons. So for me it makes a lot of sense for a couple to be compared to pigeons
My favourites were Stravinsky and Khatchaturian. Must hear more!
As a classical singer, I was surprised by the inclusion of the Barcarolle from Les Contes d'Hoffman, not because it's not LOVELY but because I didn't think there was dancing involved...
My local ballet company is doing Prokofiev's Cinderella next season. Should I go? I think the answe to that question is Yes!
Your joy is infectious!! ~ ty.
Aww 😂😂 thanks for watching! ✨
Spartacus:some beats of the theme have been copied and pasted into the song "My way"
I LOVE ballet bop sessions!❤ I have found so many new favorites from these videos that I would never have heard of other wise
Yay! Thank you sm, so glad you enjoyed bopping with us 💗
Merci !
Thank you so much for supporting what we do 🥹🥹💟
Waaay back when I was 7 yo. my sisters went to ballet classes. I went with them but only for watching them in class. I was supremely bored...I'm male.
But our mother bought a vynil. "Sylvia" and "Coppélia" suites, on each side. SInce then (1965!!) I LOVE Coppélia. And the mazurka...oh my!. Since almost 60 years ago, how about that?.
I had the pleasure of choreographing Coppelia’s Mazurka for my students and the song is indeed just such a great pick-me-up! It’s so happy and vibrant and ugh, so good! Although my one gripe with the song is that it was SO HARD to count to, especially the part with the brass section before it goes back to the basic theme.
Friendship!!! You made me laugh so hard 😂🎉 you just made my evening and I haven't watched half of the video yet. Thank you!!!!❤
You’re so welcome 😂 Thanks for bopping with us ♥️
Thank you, such a good video!! Honestly there are so many beautiful ballet pieces, but my favorite one right now is the Bedroom pas de deux from Manon Act I, it's just soo good💕
I haven't figured out how to bop to that music, yet, but it's in my head lots of the time. I just love it.
I love this! I’m a musician, and enjoyed this immensely. I enjoy hearing you guys geek out and anticipate rhythms, and instrument highlights. You’re awesome!! I’m conducting along with y’all!! I’m a total music and ballet nerd. Keep bopping!
Haha so happy u enjoyed bopping w us! 😂😂

Manon bedroom pas de deux! beautifulllll music
From the same ballet, the finale. In despite that it is a huge heartbreak!.

Glad u enjoyed! Thanks for bopping w us😆😆

Also, double.commenting but .. turns out this is surprisingly good letter writing audio .. now on my third rewatch/-listen to check again what the pieces I liked were 😄 😊

Yes to the mazurka in park
It’s a MUST 👏🏻👏🏻
I‘m late😢
