We have to make a world petition for jim root produce the jazzmaster sandblaster now.
YES PLEASE
Even if I'd put myself in debt I'd buy that as soon as it came out.
It would be cool to do like a 250 or 500 model run
At least two sandblasted jazz exist, in the Fret12 Videos he has 2 in the frame
At least two could mean anywhere from to 2 to literally thousands so that's not saying much.
@@hotshot0476 The point of my comment was not to specifically pinpoint the # of JMs made. But to clarify Rays comment. Next time, read a second time to fully understand the comment entering that small brain of yours.
There is another episode of this with 50 min footage!!
, epic!!
Wouter yeah, this is the best Root rig rundowns on UA-cam. His was really into this and excited to be talking about his new sig’s
I was at this show and was surprised to see how many guitars he brought out. Very cool that you got to see them up close and personal
Thanks man
@@xanderraymondcharles No problem, still would be interested in a collab on a song if you have the time/would be interested.
Everybody’s gonna be trying to put Floyd’s on Root guitars now. lol
Purists will hate it even more 😂
Sad!!!
Jim has 2 sand blasted jazz masters. In his teaching vids on the sound and story .5 gray chapter dvd he has both of them in frame one in drop b other in drop A
Dude his strats and jazzmasters are the sickest fenders I've ever seen. That's awesome bro I would have been geeking out lol
Thanks for putting out the B Roll!! Cant wait for your next vid!!
I was at that show!! Very cool you got the red carpet!!! Met jim bitd at the electric factory/ troc he is really down to earth.
Loved your interview man!! Great shots and info and cool to see this additional B roll as well! 🤘🏻
Another one?!, dude, come on i got job to do at work, well...work can wait. Great video!
Hahah thanks! Glad I can help with your procrastination :)
@@xanderraymondcharles hahah
So jealous! Jim Root is my guitar hero, this is so cool to see! Really awesome videos man!
Thank You Ray!!!! Glad you Figured out the mic issues....keep running with this......
Where is Martin, Jim's previous tech?
A Floyd on there? That explains why I was at a Slipknot show and heard a dive bomb right before their encore. It was pitch black so I couldn’t tell who did it or how they did it because neither Mick or Jim use them so I didn’t know wtf was going on 😂
Great video! On Jim Instagram there’s an old post showing when he got the sandblasted guitar and they gave him 2.
Yeah everyone is calling me out on my mistake
Stay Metal Ray not really a mistake. Its a old post.
Cheers for the B-Roll dude! I'd love if they added Disasterpiece back into the setlist, love that song! :)
They did, they played it in Auburn Wa
@@backfromthedead4827 hell yeah!
Thanks SMR , very cool , I have the Orange # 4 Jim Root Terror, great amp .
Dude so awesome! Would love to see him rock the 400 dollar jazz master! That would put it out there.
Jim Root has at least 2 of the sand blasted jazzmasters as seen in the sound and story lessons....more than likely 1 for each tuning
Ahh good call forgot about that. There’s one sitting in the background
Not anymore. He sent one back to Fender and had them sand it down and paint it white.
@@rprides1007 thats a different one
@@rprides1007 That's the candy red one that was inspired by all the old Gretsch colors
Was it the candy one? My bad, I thought he was talking about one of the sandblasted ones.
Buddy putting all of his faith in those strap locks huh haha
Great interview and overview. Hope you get to do the same kind of interview with Mark Tremonti and many more one day and get to go over their gear like this.
I think the white prototype Jazzmaster appeared for the first time on the Making of Audio Secrecy DVD in 2010.
i also top wrap all my gibsons its feels much better for the righthand and also the string cant touch the bridge behind the saddles but you must put another ball over the strings
I want them straps
Had no idea you were this short. Sorry man.
Em B
I mean Jim’s 6”6 so that doesn’t help
Jim has at least two sandblasted Jazzmasters. You can see them on his second Fret12 DVD.
Edit: ua-cam.com/video/H4XsQLpzg9s/v-deo.html
was there a Mick rig rundown?
I really like the new sig but I'd prefer it with the regular headstock. I've always hated Fender's oversized headstocks...
Those CBS headstock are dope tho
Killer.
You should buy that new Jim root when it comes out
You best believe I will
I'm thinking about buying a Jim root tele squirer. I've been wanting a tele and try out a guitar with some emgs. Went by guitar center and found out it won't be released until Sept 27. I was so bummed.
Don't waste your money, just buy a real tele with tele pick ups! If you want an emg set just play it from an esp, they are much better to play metal off.
You are so lucky
Lmao am i the only one that read the title as 'I am root'
Might sound strange but when I first took a glimpse of those strings they look like bass strings to me but they must be a really thick gauge☠️💀👺🤡
He actually has 2 sandblasted Jazzmasters, u can see em in the Fret 12 videos
Yes I stand corrected
He has two of those sandblasted guitars, not one.
Not anymore. He sent one back to Fender and had it sanded down and painted white.
@@rprides1007 He said that about his red jazzmaster. Not this sandblasted one.
That’s what someone else just said. That it was the candy one. I thought he said it about one of the sandblasted ones, my bad.
theres no way he’s throwing delay and verb in front on the friedman... that would sound like complete crap..
Like he said, I’ve heard it too in an interview that he liked to put everything in front of the amp but maybe since then he put his delays in the fx loop i don’t know...
Wow I live in New Jersey how did I miss this show..😕 but Camden is a war zone 😅
He has two sand blasted jazzies
Yeah everyone corrected me on that one. My bad 😂
@@xanderraymondcharles sorry haha I scrolled down after I commented and saw like tons of people mentioning it. Props on the rig rundown and thank you for your service.
It’s all good I don’t mind being corrected. It means you guys are looking out for me. Thanks for the support!
OMG!!! That was AWESOME!!! Thank you so much for sharing. I’m a huge fan of his ( now you ) as well. I’ve always wanted a good look at his guitars!! You are a lucky man!! Cheers!!
Too bad the mexican fender plant didnt do the sandblasted series like they did for the 2013 blue swirl series
Great vid... how the hell did you get an ok to meet and interview will an all access pass anyways?? there has to be 1000000 people trying to get at him also ??!!!!
Amazing content from a killer creator. If there was one dude I'd like to start a band with, it's Ray. Down to earth guy with solid insights. Keep it up man.
Mannn thank you so much James for the kind words. Hey I’m open for anything 😏
Great vid. Dude's super cool. Funny story: My wife thought I was watching a vid of the guy that played Lyle Vander-Groot on George Of The Jungle. lol Its his voice. Very articulate.
Thanks man, I knew it would be worth uploading. Keep Rockin'.🤘
Thanks for checking it out man!
Very cool video.
The more you show that new 2020 Jazzmaster the more I'm into it, to the point where I'm really starting considering buying one (if it comes out under 1000€ or at least below 1000 U.S Dollars)The thing that worries me is I'm 5' 6¼", I'm pretty sure the guitar would look GIANT on me :p
DOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best rig rundown videos I can find anywhere. Jim wanted to share so much with other guitarists. So awesone!
Sweet water has an exclusive for sandblasted teles and strats
Good stuff my friend.loved your interview with him👍🤟
What strings does he use for drop B and A?
I miss his flathead Fenders.
Very cool, glad you had this opportunity!
OG
the sandblasted jazz master, there was at least 2 originally, if you look at his Fret 12 videos there are 2 of them ;)
Yes I know
Are all guitars the same scale length? 25.5? Watching the video some look longer than others
They're all 25.5"
Dug it...
Dude, please do one with Mick Thomson. That would be amazing. He and jim are 2 of my biggest inspirations when it comes to gear and songwriting!
Maybe I’ll try next time they come around. I was really only focused on Jim, because he and I became really good friends this summer
@@xanderraymondcharles that's dope man! Wish I could meet Jim in person. He seems super rad. Thanks for the reply!
I think he has 2 of the sand blasted jazzmasters theres one in the background in the grey chapter instructional videos
Yes you’re correct
so you just took their video without giving credit, got ya
Haha what are you talking about?!
