This is, by far, the best live version ever of this song. It beats the studio version. I guess Bono listened the house tape afterwards and thought “I cannot top this performance”, so they took almost 20 years to try again and it was never the same thing. The energy, the power, Bono’s vocals…
Because the audio came first. This was one of the most famous and important blotlegs from ZooTv Tour. Then came this images... I supose someone put all togheter.
Today is the first time I’m seeing this video to go along with the audio I’ve had since recording it live from the FM broadcast on my hifi system to cassette in my Purdue dorm room in 1993. It’s one of my favorite live U2 tracks ever, and to now see this for the first time, almost 30 years later….. I’m stunned. 🤗🤗🤗
Amazing! "There is a silence that come to a house where no one can sleep...I guess it's the price of love I know it's not Cheap." This one is a diamond in the rough and it's great seeing it performed live. Bring it back B! Bring it back!
YES! Footage for the bootleg live cd I've had for more than 10 years! I never thought I would see this! Love this song, heard it a million times, and will a million times again!
Agreed. At first, I hated Achtung Baby, but it didn't take long for me to come around and after a short while it became my favorite album of all time, not just from U2. I saw them in concert in '92-'93 twice, once inside (bad seats, poor experience) and once outside in a stadium. The outdoor show was easily the best concert I've ever been to. U2 was never better than this time frame.
@@WobblinGoblin1 well they keep on evolving and if you've attended other U2 tours you'll be more cautious and hesitant before saying there was nothing better than that :) which is WHY I love them. Where was your outdoor ZOOTV concert?
@@NicolasVanhove I've tried to listen to their newer (post Atomic Bomb) stuff. Just can't get into it. The outdoor ZooTV concert was in Foxboro, MA. Pretty sure it was August, 1992. Absolutely beautiful evening with perfect weather and U2 was great.
my favourite album and my favourite tour even though I was too young to travel abroad to see it live back then (and they never came to Russia in the 1990s)
I saw Zoo TV 5 or 6 times, i even saw the European opening of the Zoo TV Tour in Rotterdam at the Feyenoord stadium, Zoo TV was everything as it looks now in the old video's on UA-cam, and much much much more, it was U2 at their absolute peek, for me it is still the standard on wich every rockshow should be measured, and 25 years on still nothing even comes close, but that's just my opinion 😎
As an 18 year old, I watched the PPV concert from Nov 1993 broadcast from Sydney and it was mind-blowing. Achtung Baby hooked me when I was 16 in 1991. By chance I listened to the CD and once I read the beautiful lyrics I realized their ingenuity.
I've never seen this video... IU have the complete concert n CD and for me it's the best ever done !! Feal pleasure to see it . U2's magnficient creation ;)
I was in Europe the spring of 93 and I saw ads for this concert in Germany. I should have made every effort to go. Thank you UA-cam, at least I have that.
Yes bono you have always tried to help people. Ya that's it. You are not well we all know. We all used to love you. Your music is and always has been amazing best ever. People didn't know that since 1978 you have been paid to pretend who you are. If they knew you would have ruined more hearts then you did. But that would have made you prouder so sad my friend
i remember when this concert was broadcast over the radio!! it was my first U2 concert in a sense - i heard it live and wished i had actually been there!! took 4 more years to get to my first real show!!
When I was younger so much younger than today I never needed anybody's help in any way And now these days are gone I'm not so self assured Now I find I've changed my mind I've opened up the doors Help me if you can I'm feeling down And I do appreciate you being round Help me get my feet back on the ground Won't you please, please help me? Sometimes i feel...
Someone in my dorm had this concert on CD. I borrowed it and never brought it back. He had to get the RA to break into my room to take it back. Damn I wish I still had that. Most of it is on UA-cam thankfully. The Sydney concert is no substitute because they didn't play this song and "Desire."
U2 is just great and Bono is awesome!!! They are just getting better and better with each album if this is anyway possible. I never got disappointed with a album, since I became a fan 1986.
Mr MacPhisto where did you go ? We DREAM you come back and get on with the SHOW ! What a joy it all was and Bono nailed it ,loved his persona he played it so well . CHEERS U2
Was quite the pleasant and fine one early evening back in summer of a mid 1990's. Well flowing grace felt strong, then stronger than ever as c0-worker brought the invitation to come with his group to watch my favorite band perform. Well, would love to go again as it was a great show! And an awesome trip with friends, too!
I have the ZooTV dvd and it's fucking awesome, but this? This is so good, please release a another Zootv dvd with this song and Wild Horses, they are so underrated!
RDS Showgrounds Dublin! I seen them at Leeds Roundhay Park! I was 13 years old - Greatest show I've ever seen, the set lists, the way they played - everything!!
Dear oh dear some of the comments on this! 1987 "U2 take themselves too seriously and need to lighten up" 1991 they release possibly the best LP of music in history and Zoo TV the greatest live show ever. Listen to the lyrics of Zoo Station, they are taking the piss out of themselves! McPhisto was the same concept.
This is, by far, the best live version ever of this song. It beats the studio version. I guess Bono listened the house tape afterwards and thought “I cannot top this performance”, so they took almost 20 years to try again and it was never the same thing. The energy, the power, Bono’s vocals…
I beg to differ. He's got too much of his MacPhisto character's voice in it. I like the 360 tour version much better
a touch of irony, ego, realism, sarcasm, in full freedom, U2 at his best; is dearly missed
@08:22 the most intensive & powerful baybee baybe baybeee i‘ve ever heard. Magic.
The voice... Amazing
In my Top 5 U2 songs, I think. The vocal interplay between the two is just something else.
Best live version of Ultraviolet ever.
For an amateur video from 1993 this audio is unbelievably fantastic!
Because the audio came first. This was one of the most famous and important blotlegs from ZooTv Tour. Then came this images... I supose someone put all togheter.
The audio is from the live FM radio broadcast.

1993 Grabe ese concierto en VHS por t/v
I love the Edge’s voice and the relatively difficult part at 6:45 and 8:08. Flawless
It makes this version the greatest there’s ever been
Amazing! "There is a silence that come to a house where no one can sleep...I guess it's the price of love I know it's not Cheap." This one is a diamond in the rough and it's great seeing it performed live. Bring it back B! Bring it back!
from the ridiculous to the sublime. this performance is everything
My favourite song of all time, from my all time favourite band during their best tour.
Philip Edenhorn ditto 👍
Fact. True that
Unreal! What a voice and what a performance! U2 and Bono at his best!
Thad last “light my way” sounds incredible.
One of the BEST. Clear audio. Tight band. Great song. Edge at his best, his chords and melody take you higher.
YES! Footage for the bootleg live cd I've had for more than 10 years! I never thought I would see this! Love this song, heard it a million times, and will a million times again!
como quisiera retroceder el tiempo para ir a ese hermoso concierto, el mejor.
U2🖤🖤🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤🖤❤️🖤
Soulful, raw, passionate, cranky, swanky, blissful, bold, frantic,...awesome.
Yes, U2 in 92/93 is always going to be better than anything else. Anyone who says different is simply wrong.

The immense power & sound of this performance is just unbelievable
I remember back in the 1990's this ZOO TV idea was so unique and then the Mr. Macphisto character just added to U2's mystique. Good times they were!
@professorkaos2781 this is the concert tour against which all others must be measured. It was truly groundbreaking.
beatles + my fave u2 song = pure damn love. i love this song so much i wish i could go back in time and see them perform it in person!
Teatral, dramático, locura... Ese tono que alcanza en el estribillo... Jamás habrá nada como el ZooTV Tour
Wicked, wicked song. The band that just keeps on giving.
I was watching that concert in 1993 and I still watching it in 2017.Best ever unbelievable
I would have given anything to be on that ZooTv Tour, just out of this world.
I saw Zoo TV 5 or 6 times, i even saw the European opening of the Zoo TV Tour in Rotterdam at the Feyenoord stadium, Zoo TV was everything as it looks now in the old video's on UA-cam, and much much much more, it was U2 at their absolute peek, for me it is still the standard on wich every rockshow should be measured, and 25 years on still nothing even comes close, but that's just my opinion 😎
me too
Same. Seemed like an unbelievable show. Couldn’t put it better than you, out of this world
@@Robert663 you're absolutely right. Saw them in Paris during the 1st leg it was fantastic

Sad seeing the band get old, performances like this were epic.
First ever concert I was at. Just at the rail so this brings back so many memories. Couldn't understand the call at the time though!
I was at that gig. still fresh in my memory and that song in particular. Absolutely magnificent.
Paul Lee were you close to the stage?
Unfortunately not. I was in the stands
this is great cant believe it was '93! macphisto at his best!
I've never seen this video...
IU have the complete concert n CD and for me it's the best ever done !!
Feal pleasure to see it .
U2's magnficient creation ;)
Haunting rendition of help love it! Best era of u2
Dublin show was broadcast LIVE on the radio around the world. I remember this and I still have the cassette tapes.
7:12 - Love that riff….The Edge
There are no words to express the greatness of this song. (i hated to hear it on Click).
I love, love LOVE this. Thanks so much for posting. I love the 360o tour (ofcourse) but man, those Zooropa concert were something else...
I was there...unfuckingbelievable
Rock an roll the history of world music! U2 you are unique 2020 even more. Thank you 🙏 🙏 🙏 🎵🎵🎵🎶🌎🌍🌏❤️❤️❤️

il miglior tour di sempre degli u2!per bme resta sempre al numero uno! un vero show!
The Edge should play the guitar like this every time in this sound.
SIMPLEMENTE FANTASTICO!!!!! U2 EN SU MAXIMA EXPRESION!!!!

Yeah Bono's good at that, he even mumbled his way on a record (Pop) through half a song; If You Wear That Velvet Dress, and it still sounded amazing!
In which part?
U2 is just great and Bono is awesome!!! They are just getting better and better with each album if this is anyway possible. I never got disappointed with a album, since I became a fan 1986.
Nelly Weini well this was more than 20 years ago. Then it was true

Review The Song (4)
Ooooh....
Sometimes I feel like I don't know
Sometimes I feel like checkin' out
I wanna get it wrong
Can't always be strong
And love it won't be long
Oh sugar, don't you cry
Oh child, wipe the tears from your eyes
You know I need you to be strong
And the day is as dark as the night is long
Feel like trash, you make me feel clean
I'm in the black, can't see or be seen
ultravioleta ilumina mi camino, wow!
Thank You U2 For the Music. God Bless You Guys 😘💜🎩
Macphisto, big screens, Edge in a Beanie playing his Explorer, one of their best songs ever - what's not to like with this?
this is an ''official-bootleg'', sound came from the soundboard and it was the most famous bootleg among U2 fans.
I had a double CD album with this bootleg called Zootopia. I think I still might have the mp3s of this concert.
This music is beautiful
You know I need you to be strong, and the day is dark as the night is long....
The opera is in this lad
The best version ever
Wow what an intro ! It’s live theater!
We love u2 Mr. MacPhisto

Titio Bono drank it all in this performance.

I recorded that gig off the radio. Mind blowing tour. The 360 version has great guitar in it.
Please God please if your out there.... Can I just make one wish to relive this moment....
Rock n Roll U2 MacPhisto style
Love it!
This song will always remind me of Dolores O' Riordan from the Cranberries " Linger" in the Adam Sandler movie Click..very sad
Best live version ever
Check out Zoo TV , Washington 1992. This version is ultimately the pinnacle.
@tybabs0926 true. Totally different and as moving as this one.
So axblack posts another awesome U2 live vid. Good to know that some things never change.
The skit is just brilliant... I love that everything they do, even the ridiculous things, have deeper significance to them
great song, the old songs have best lyrcs.... last album i liked, catch me
