    Thanks for the vid, Phil; it was clear and to the point. That said, for some reason I'm just not seeing the value of the Stamp method. My bad but I've gotten a lot out of the Caruso method and Clarke exercises, Bai Lin flexibility and a lot more - but I just don't see what the Stamp method does that other methods don't accomplish.
    Anyway, you've got a great sound on the horn and I appreciate your hard work in doing these vids.

      @@PhillONeillTrumpet start w gentle lead pipe work and a bit on mouthpiece, then Stamp 1 followed by some Chas Colin’s and some tonguing

    Wonderful take on Stamp. I love this method. I like your take on it, especially the emphasis on the chord tones in the key of the exercise. Great way to help the ear training as well.

    thanks. I have focal dystonia. I put the first note in a loop and watch it 200x a day. it helps.

    Phil, should i be concerned about playing too loud too early on the warmup as far as damaging my lips?

      Hi Steve,
      You should be practicing all dynamics. If you play loud counter it with soft. Check out my long tones video for more info.

      Only because you haven't heard me on a boby Shew :P
      The Shew horn is way to bright for my liking in my hands. Great horn had a lot of fun playing it but not for me.

      This is the Stomvi master. Absolutely fantastic horn I loved playing it, it just felt great to play and really helped me get the sound in my head out through the horn.

      Have you checked out the After Schlossberg book? There are a lot of similarities between the Stamp and the Schlossberg method.

      Exactly. I think I read somewhere that Schlossberg and Stamp were under the same pedagogy as Maggio.
