Good Lord, Birm. :) Washington has played at Husky Stadium for decades and decades. The only time they've played at the Seahawks Stadium was when Husky Stadium was renovated in the early 2010's, and occasionally when playing Washington State. But, I can vouch for Husky Stadium. It's beautiful. Great renovation. Nice campus and setting. You'll like it a lot.
Great question, Birm .. for Bjork .. about making the stadium a more imposing environment. And on that note, is there any leverage Bjork can work with to get Big Noon games off the Buckeye's back? Why does the B10 allow their premiere money making team to be saddled with Big Noon, when that hampers recruiting .. ensuring the team stays an elite money maker .. and the fairness of sharing Big Noon with the rest of the conference?
Vols are balanced on offense, their philosophy is simple, they run when the box is light and they throw when the box is heavy. OSU will determine which way they go. Every team this year has jammed Vols receivers and played pretty much cover 2 in order to keep everything in front of them, Vols offense has improved every game against this type of D. Buckeyes had better get to Nico often because if he has a clean uniform at the end of the game then Vols likely win. Critics are sleeping on Nico too, kid has major talent and is a gritty tough leader.
I’m a buckeye but don’t expect much from the playoffs. Day must win the National title to save his job. Otherwise, he needs to be fired. He has ran out of excuses.
Went to Seattle a couple yrs ago. Beautiful campus and the stadium, while not huge, is extremely cool looking. Should make for a great (hopefully) night game.
I might make the trip to Seattle next year. Great town. Lots of history there from the 90`s grunge scene. It would be fun to check out the old haunts of PJ, Nirvana and AIC.
What is there to ask exactly? Sounds like something Bjork wouldn't have any control over. He can ask people not to (which he has) but ultimately, it's not much else that can be done. People are going to do what they want.
To add to Austin's point about Tennessee's stats being inflated. UT only played four teams in the top 50 for rush defense: Oklahoma (13), Arkansas (32), Georgia (36), and Vandy (44), going 2-2 in those outings. For total defense, they played three teams in the top 50: Oklahoma (21), Alabama (32), & Georgia (35), going 2-1 in those games. They only played three teams in the top 75 for total offense and went 1-2 in those outings against Arkansas (13), Alabama (39), and Georgia (47). They have faced a series of teams in the bottom half of CFB for total offense: Miss State (78), Florida (81), NC State (84), Kentucky (114), Oklahoma (121), Vanderbilt (124), and dead last Kent State (133). They also played a D2 school in West Chattanooga Technical Junior College or something. tOSU is ranked 36th Offensively, 1st overall defensively, and 7th in rush defense. UT has only played four teams on the road--Oklahoma, Vandy, Arkansas, and Georgia---and are 2-2 on those outings. In other words, the Vols have not won a single game they have played on the road against a team with a top 120 offense. (Obviously, they are still a good team with one of the best RBs, Pass Rushers, and CBs in CFB). They are well coached and have a high bluechip ratio.....But, they are very beatable and tOSU should absolutely win this game. My main concern is a weather game where Howard's wimpy arm struggles to throw the ball in adverse conditions and where their D-Line can just trounce the Buckeyes up front.
An extremely young player out of position. The more he plays (snaps) the better he’ll get. Miss tackles has been an issue all season for the entire defense. Especially the first quarter.
Question for Ross: If a head coach wants an assistant back but the school won't approve the contract, what happens? Has it happened to him during his career?
The only times OSU has been able to stop the run is against teams without the threat of a passing game (Iowa and Michigan). Austin just doesn't understand football
I love sonny but he HAS to play better. He made a couple huge mistakes. He has to seal the edge and take the right gap!! Hope he is watching a ton of film!! I know he can do it!!
My hubby and sons flew from Omaha to see Ohio State-TTUN so disappointing. I hope they all, coaches and players learn from their mistakes . I’m hopeful we execute better, rotate our defensive players and offense stays on field longer so our defense is not gassed by 4th quarter. Hope Fielding practicing kicks in shoe
GUYS: Have you NOT SEEN every big game under DC Knowles tenure⁉️This group of Bucks defensive players always wear down and get physically dominated in 4th quarter - THAT is what Tenn. clearly knows…
Maybe that Akron game will make you guys be ready. Both teams TN and Ohio both have really good teams. That is what TN fans are saying. Yes I do think Sampson will run on Ohio i am not saying he is getting 150 yards or anything but he is a workhorse.
In 2025, they have Grambling. I know it’s after Texas but, Grambling? The crappy Big 10 teams like Purdue and Northwestern already lead to enough complacency. At least schedule another MAC opponent.
I don’t understand why people keep praising the defense's performance against Michigan. It's not that impressive when everybody knew that Michigan can't throw the football. This is similar to when Ohio State played Wisconsin in 2014; they shut down Wisconsin's run game because that's all they did. Tennessee is going to be a far greater challenge.
I’ve thought that since the game. That offensive was inept and totally one-dimensional. When they needed to get stops they couldn’t and Sawyer’s interception was a gift. At best it was an average performance. Certainly not great.
Or Defense only gave up 6 points => 2 FG’s and Xichigan’s kicker was starting with his foot on the Block O at midfield for one of those kicks. Difficult not to recognize that as a stellar performance. Sawyer and Downs both had INT’s.
@@13kimosabi13 That’s true, but it came against a terrible offense. They were ranked 128th in the country in total offense and were one of only five Power Five teams who averaged less than 300 yards a game. OSU SHOULD have dominated them given their personnel, which was far more talented. It wasn’t a bad performance but it certainly wasn’t great by any means. I think saying it is stellar is giving them far too much credit.
What was the score again? Other than that last UM series where the defense couldn’t get off the field, the defense didn’t lose the game! You should know it doesn’t matter one’s rank, prowess, etc. The Game will always be war in the trenches
Running on Ohio State isn't a 'blue print' to win. Except, if Ryan Day takes his ridiculous scUM gameplan and does it again. So it's up to the 10 million dollar man. Of course, if he wants to get fired, that would be the way to go.
Is fatigue an issue. No matter how talented or condition he is in, college football vs high school is very different. They’re are bigger, stronger, and faster. It takes freshman a little longer to adjust. Some player sooner than others.
Listening to the radio this morning here in Nashville and these TN fans really think they're gonna invade the shoe and be 35% of the fans there. The delusion is real, they're drinking their kool-aid
It really comes down to the offense. At this point, Michigan has the mental edge on Ohio State. The Buckeyes choked. I don’t think any other team can count on beating Ohio State with their run game and holding Ohio State’s offense to 10 points.
I have ZERO confidence Ryan Cooper 2.0 will beat Tennessee. I am very confident Will "The Choke" Howard will throw multiple interceptions and Jay "The Shank" Fielding will miss multiple field goals against Tennessee.
If Ryan Day returns as the Buckeyes head coach, we can pencil in a 5th straight loss to Michigan, and a 2nd loss somewhere else in their schedule. That's a given.
If Beck can go 25/40 for 350 yrds and thats with him playing awful and WRs dropping balls left and right! Then Ohio st should be able to throw ball all over!!
@smalltowntxscratcher6573 It is huh? Who told you that?? The Defenses OSU faces are on Avg ranked in 40s. Tennessee faces Defenses ranked in 80s. That said OSU has Allowed 36 TFL Tennessee Allowed 62!! OSU has Allowed 13 sacks Tennessee Allowed 26!! OSUs OL has givin up fewer sacks and TFL against better defenses!! So there is that!!! O-H!!!
A couple questions for my fellow real Buckeye fans. Does anyone refer to the Michigan game as “the game”? Second, does anyone refer to them as TTUN? Third, does anyone have as a homer ish idea of OSU as Birm and Austin do who are supposedly in the media?
As a TN fan. I am going to say this so you guys can feel better about your team. TN just isn't going g to be able to run or throw. Heck they probably will not get 10 yards feel better now. Lol everyone has watched the buckeye. That is the problem we have watched the buckeye. Who did OSU play . Really MI and Oregon. Loss both.

Can we add a punter/kicker with one of the extra 20 scholarships?
Went to Seattle a couple yrs ago. Beautiful campus and the stadium, while not huge, is extremely cool looking. Should make for a great (hopefully) night game.

Please ask Bjork about the ticket disaster and season ticket holders buying up tickets to sell to TN fans.
What is there to ask exactly? Sounds like something Bjork wouldn't have any control over. He can ask people not to (which he has) but ultimately, it's not much else that can be done. People are going to do what they want.

Maybe because Michigan ran for 172 yds on 4.0ypc? And they couldn't pass the ball. That's why people think tennessee can run the ball.
