Wow! Chicken looks good but maybe a little old. Like if I didn’t know any better I'd say this was filmed in July 2023 and just uploaded now.

Fried food fraud friskily finagles financial fees for foodtube fame. Shame be to Weissman, wise no longer! May his briskets be covered in flies and his edits be uncomfortable for everyone to watch!

Glad you’re back man big fan of all the recipe busting. I was able to find cheaper chicken tho about 9 to 10 dollars still a far cry from 5 bucks for 4

Good video, good format. This could take off chief.
    That being said.
Shopping unto itself is a skill, and you haven't learned how to shop well. Also, the cost of ingredients really does vary state to state and very much so store to store. Texas is a state where meat is especially cheap, and if you're in a state where Publix dominates (for absolutely no reason), then you can expect to pay 300% the price you'd pay elsewhere for chicken. Using Flipp, or any other flyer aggregator to compare prices is important to actually getting good value. I would bet money that at any given time, you can get chicken breast for around $2.50 per pound at Sam's club or Aldi, and on a very good sale where good shoppers stock up and freeze, probably half of that. A pound is about 2-3 breasts. Furthermore, skin on thighs are perpetually hovering around $1 per pound almost country wide, and frankly, it would be a tastier cut for this anyways. I don't even know why Weissman decided on breast if he was trying to be frugal. The price for everything else is pretty standard, even today. The oil is an actual oversight, but fry oil can be used multiple times. You can probably get 4 full uses out of that oil without significant flavour degradation if you filtered it after each use.

I could probably get Weissman's price for this meal even lower if I shopped sales, much lower if he was actually being frugal with ingredients, like using chicken thighs instead.

the prices used were for the minimum quantity of the cheapest products-with commercial pricing being used at times to help get close to josh’s projected price. if you ever see me use use a different product, rest easy knowing i ran the calculations with the lowest possible prices. despite me calling him out, i do try my best to meet his estimates
