Even if 5up knew that jester didn't have vision, he just knows hafu isn't bad enough to reveal vision so easily for no reason. So, it very much wasn't a perfect play.

It is kinda confusing that in the modpack the morning lobby uses the jester can vent but doesn't have vision and it's the opposite for the sussy sunday modpack
I think there is a configuration option that lets them turn those on and off. Kind of like how they change kill cooldowns and other things.
It's very easy if the jester can vent though since most venters are killers. But I guess that's a balancer that makes it so that a venter may not be voted out immediately because it might be a jester.
Yeah, I remember Toast saying that he wants Jester to have a living chance to win, hence the great vision. So that is def a setting.

I don't understand how hafu wouldn't have thought 5up wouldn't have realized she's the jester... She's never going to give up vision info as an imposter.
It would be so hard to not meta her every game, she plays all the roles the same way over and over.
Honestly... it's hard to listen to Hafu complain. When you get caught as a killer you have to be humble enough to accept that someone picked up on at least one weak point in your deception tactics -- instead of trying to find where she went wrong she was 100% focused on where she went right. This is a terrible mindset for improval in general and if she had thought about it critically she'd have realized that 5up can tell the difference between her volunteering her vision information and her actually accidentally slipping it.
Also, picking up a read on someone is NOT metagaming, that is literally the entire point of a social deduction game. Metagaming is doing things like agreeing beforehand to do various things inside of the game. Social deduction as a genre suffers from meta tactics prevaling, and among us is one of the least robust -- literally just grouping as crew basically turns it into a solved game. (Playing for hours and hours with the same people in voice chat definitely doesn't help either). She's so used to handicapping herself for the sake of not metagaming that she expects others to not use basic social deduction logic.

Just watch the video again. 5up really thought hafu was imposter, maybe jester (bc in his mind jester also has vision which is WRONG). But he really thought hafu messed up and gave up her vision, so much so, he even voted for her in the 1st meeting and said 'if only you know'. So 'She's never going to give up vision info as an imposter. ' is just an invalid assumption, at least 5up didn't think that.

I would've too tbh. To be told you have vision as jester but still sussed as jester not imp would be so infuriating.
Dumb dog could have won much easier by killing Hafu sweeping her body and then killing 5up for an easier win.
Sweep goes on cooldown after a kill, and vice versa. Most likely a button goes off after cleaning the body. Better to just kill twice so that crew has to report or button with only one cooldown time available to them
@@jmagicd9831 there was plenty of time between cool downs and he had called lights meaning no button could be called unless they fix rhem
I was thinking the same thing with how long they stayed there he could have done that then waited for them
Or he could have guessed jester on hafu
he should have called reactor, that forces them to split up and by the time one makes it back from one of the other reactors to check on their teamate the cooldown might be done

The Jester has Impostor vision is indeed a thing in the "Other Roles" pack - I know Disguised Toast said that he wants to give Jester a living chance, hence the vision. But maybe that can be altered by the host, idk.

Love how everyone is torn between 5up being petty for pushing the button and hafu being petty for her voting. Tbf it was very sucky of 5up to scan, then use a button on 4 with one other person scanned and then proceed to hide and stack with the other crew (which I'm pretty sure this lobby is against). As jester your role is just to cause chaos anyway and throw the crews off so hafu had every right to vote herself especially after being so frustrated she really did play the game perfectly but 5ups wrong info threw it for her.
