Using CAMERA LUCIDA to create an unusual effect with total distortion.

Hi and welcome to my experiment using PARALLAX DISTORTION With the Camera Lucida.
Here's a little experiment that I like to do from time to time using or perhaps misusing the manual parallax controls with camera lucida. By purposely distorting the image so the either the bottom or the top is out of proportion by using the slider controls you can come up with some very interesting effects . So the original picture was straight on to this building
What I did was I used the slider controls to totally distort the base and the top of the building so that it is actually out of parallax
You can see me with pen and ink on the left hand image which looks to be fairly square but in actual fact is completely distorted via camera lucida parallax settings.
The top of the video capture is out of focus due to the distortion. Drawing in this way is difficult as the pen does not follow the natural path, and you find that following the line makes you move differently to how you would normally use camera lucida.
Anyway, I like playing with the different features of camera lucida and this is an interesting one to try.
As you can see the final painting is completely distorted with the top being very narrow and the bottom is very wide. This is not how the actual image is at all, this has been created as an effect using camera lucida and the manual parallax controls.
