- Happy FriYay party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while we Decorate for Christmas together! (ie. decorate for christmas with me 2018) . We put up the tree and I took literally 4 days to put out the rest of the decorations. Yup. I still have the christmas tote in my dining room. How do youtubers have perfect houses?!? I'm not there yet... maybe I need a nanny... haha! BUT We got the outdoor decorations done... only to have a new string of lights blow the whole line every ten minutes we have them plugged in. EVEN THE NEW LIGHTS!! We don't know whats up. We're pretty fed up with it but we will figure it out!! IT'S CHRISTMAS AFTER ALL!!! I WILL HAVE A BEAUTIFULLY LIT HOUSE!! Lit. it will be LIT! haha ya know like the kids say it these days... okay this is turning into a blog post... I should start a blog... k bye.

One of my recommendations when it comes to holiday decorating is that if you find a setup that you absolutely adore, take a picture so you can recreate it the following year!

Awww Kim, your home looks beautiful with all the Christmas decorations. I really feel like Christmas now! It's so sweet the way your whole family helps you out. It reminds me of when I was a young boy, we used to have a silver aluminum tree. Yeah, I know, weird. It looked like a big honking piece of aluminum foil. Every year I would wish for a real fresh Christmas tree, but no one listened to me. I was the youngest, I had no say in the matter. I guess that was the thing back in the 60's. Now I have my cute little GREEN Christmas tree. It's fake and pre-lit, but at least it's the correct color, lol. Thank you so much Kim, for reminding me of how wonderful it was being with my family when I was a kid during the Christmas season. God bless you all and have a Merry Christmas!! ALOHA!

I agree to this comment! A couple years ago, I bought my son the Lego kit for the Beatles yellow submarine, and he had no idea who the Beatles were or anything about the yellow submarine. He made it, just for me. But he definitely did not have a lot of enthusiasm into it .😳😂 💛

We haven't decorated yet. I think the only thing we did was put Christmas candy in the candy jar. My mother has her house decorated already. Except for the tree, and the outdoor lights which I believe they are doing this weekend. I love the sign you made! I also love all of your other decorating! Thanks for the video.

Ornament repair shop that's such a good idea lol. I need a little tree just for ornaments too, especially with 4 kids. We have all plastic ones and they are still off the tree and broke already in a week
Kayla Austin we broke two ornaments while decorating the tree. We’ve had the ornaments sense before we had kids. Time to fully transition to shatterproof!

This video is so relatable! It took us about three days from start to finish as well to do our tree 🎄 and decorate our home.😂 We live in South Florida and have a home similar to yours, and these homes have charm and character, and like you said, it's hard to make them show homes but how many people would love to live here instead of plowing through the snow three months out of the year? 😳😁🌞So sometimes we have to count our blessings .🍵💃 I decorate very uniquely and a lot of my friends call it shabby chic, I really just call it eclectic and pieced together whatever I could find through the years. 😂😉But I'll take shabby chic. It's hard when you're raising kids to have the fancier of things. I always say one day when they're all gone for college I will turn at least one room in my home into a nice fancy room I can visit and enjoy all the finer things.👑💙😁🌞🎅🎄

Yes shorts 24/7 haha They sell them at Hallmark too, we used to have it as our table centerpiece! Fun fact it was actually our centerpiece at our wedding and we threw our favors (ornaments) on it for people to grab!

Have you gotten ornaments from your kiddos that they make at school? Those are some of my faves. We have 2 paper angels one from each of our kids that we use on top of our trees. Plus little ornaments with thier pic in it. I love those!
I tend to use all the new stuff and not the older stuff when decorating. Its time for me to weed through and maybe donate again.

Lol we spent last weekend putting up our tree and decorations. Now I'll spend the next month "faffing", moving and fixing them. I've already completely stripped and remade a Wreath and repaired another. They'll just be right and then it's time to take them all down again. True story 😂

Trees come in 3 pieces since they're crazy heavy. (Did you try to lift the tree box?)
Dad used to want my brother to come by & bring tree in since it's so awkward. Ours is about 7 foot tall. Last year I managed to get the pieces out 1 by 1 & put away 1 by 1. So I can do it all by myself, but having a strong male makes it exponentially easier lol.
Bringing in all 8 tubs of stuff is easier than the tree lol.
I started on Sunday to put stuff out & I'm still not done. Only have the tree left to finish, but suffering from perfect placement disorder. I need to get clips to make putting birds on the tree easier. Actually I better go try to do that before storms hit...
Outside isn't done either, but we dont always do outside. If it's too chilly or wet we just dont do it. (I need to rake leaves but expecting potential severe weather today so why not wait until more leaves are down anyways!

We sort of have a tree up. We’re under contract on a new house, and the closing dates dec 20th. So I pulled out the Christmas stuff and lightly decorated. Went to put the tree up we have had for 10 years, and about 3/4 of the lights were out 😑. Now this trees only 6 1/2 foot tall, we knew we would be moving so we haven’t bothered to buy a new one. I tried to figure out the lights, said screw it and placed a few strands on it. Well most of those lights were out...they were working 2 minutes before going on the tree 😡! So I find a set that “works”...meaning they’re glitching right now as I type😒. I got sooooo frustrated spending hours on the lights alone I didn’t even want to decorate. I had my 5 year old do it an$ now all the ornaments are on the bottom 1/2 of the tree.
