After installation, it feels the car seat is not secure. If I move it with my hands, meaning, push it, it moves. Not sure how secure is this 360 rotational thing with the base
First time Dad here. I followed. your very helpful instructions and everything was completed correctly. The base is extremely secure and not moving at all but when we put the seat in it wiggles pretty heavily in the locked position . Is this normal and if so, why do manufacturers make it this way?
It is normal. Any seat that is attached to a base will wiggle some. The only way to keep it from wiggling is to not have a separate base. The car seats are attached to the base in a way that makes them removable with one squeeze of a handle, so it cannot be too complicated.
After installing the base an it being super tight and not moving we installed the seat it self but it seems a bit wobbly when locked in place is that normal
Is there a video or anything show how to get the seat in the proper recline rear facing? My son’s seat indicator ball won’t get in the black zone all the way?
My car seat will not rotate all tge wat around. It only goes to the half way points or facing backwards only. Is there something we are doing wrong in order to get it to rotate to forward facing or for it to rotate all the way around? The instructions are hard to understand and nothing from them works. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Help!!! I drive a 2024 Pilot. The seat belts have that section of “extra material” and for the life of me, I cannot seem to position it in a way that is out of the way of the locking arm. I’ve scooted the base both right and left and it’s still in the way. What can I do?
If you have already tried moving the base each way to get that part of the seat belt out of the locking arm, the seat may be incompatible with the vehicle.
@@safeintheseat bummer. That’s what I was afraid of. Can the extra material be anywhere within the belt path? I know it can’t be in the two sections where either side of the arms come down, but what about on either sides of the arms?
The middle seat should have a normal seat belt, so you can install it there. Or you can install the seat using the lower anchors until the child is 30 pounds for rear-facing or 35 pounds for forward-facing. Otherwise, you will need a new car seat.
When we install the base, there is less than one inch of movement when we test it. However once we add the seat, it feels like it’s moving back and forth a lot more than an inch when we shake it. Is that normal?
Thank you, would have had a hard time with this without a clear instruction. Idk how people ever did this with these incredibly confusing booklets in the past

Hi, thank you for providing us with such an informational video! I’m currently in search for a swivel seat and stuck between this seat and the Graco turn2me. Do you (or any viewer that owns) know by any chance if this would fit next to a Graco snug ride 35LX? Thank you again in advance!
The Graco Turn2Me is 1" narrower than this one. But usually, if you have a swivel seat next to another seat, the swivel function is unusable because it needs space to turn.
Such a helpful video. Quick question- I am struggling to figure out how/if I can adjust the buckle. It pokes into my son’s thighs and I just can’t figure out how to adjust it. do you have any suggestions?
We are having a hard time getting the buckle to fit properly on our 12mo 20lb baby in the 360 slim. The crotch straps sit across his thighs instead of at his hip no matter what I’ve tried. Any tips or videos to help us troubleshoot that issue? I can’t find anything online suggesting others have this problem! Thanks!

Hello, I just got mine and I know it’s supposed to have a quick clean zipper cover but I cannot find a zipper anywhere!! Can you help with this or show me where it could be
The version in this video does not have the Quick Clean Cover. If yours has it, there will be a tag on each side of the upper portion of the seat that is black with an orange image. The zipper will be near that tag.
hi, this was a great video, I have tried to find the answer to my question on the evelflo site and can tfind it. I have the revolve 360 extend, we recently switched my grandadughater to forward facing, and I had no issues. I took the seat out the other day for some much needed cleaning and I cant get it to go forward facing, and it definetly doen not go 360 now, any ideas on what I did?
How do I move the crotch buckle to the furthest setting? I think I did it right but I just can't believe how short it is? I just don't see how my son (13mo) can grow with this seat when he's already at the furthest setting.
Hello thank you for your review on the seat i am stuck betwwen the revolve360 green & gentle and the nana rava i only have one child that is 25 pounds and 2'11. I do want more children in the future. do you or any viewers have or ever had both to compare?
Thanks for watching! Both are easy to install. The Revolve Extend has a much taller harness height, so if the child is very tall, go with that one. But if you have a vehicle with non-removable headrests, the Nuna Rava is better in that instance. Nuna Rava is also more compact front to back if that's a consideration
Hi Michelle! Any idea why I can get a green lock indicator in FF without my kid in the seat, but once I put him in, it never turns green when I swivel him to FF position?? I’m lost! It’s been great and no issue when he was RF all this time.
When i rotate my seat and it is successfully in the “lock” position and green, it still moves a tiny bit side to side. Is this normal and happens to yours too? As long as it’s green I should be ok right?
Hi. Thanks for this. I wasn’t able to get the black ball in the black zone as my daughter is 12 kg. It’s at the end of the black zone and already at start of white zone. Any advice ?
First time grandparent here and thank you for your clear and concise instructions! I’m one of these people who need visual and this helped so much! Thank you.
We are trying to get the right recline angle for our baby who is over 20lbs but when we recline the car seat each way, the ball still won’t reach the black indicator mark. How can I fix this?
This one can be easier to unbuckle. If you contact Evenflo, they may be able to send you an alternate chest clip, but not 100% sure if it's possible to change out the one on this particular seat. We have an unbuckling highlight on IG that may have some helpful tips for you: instagram.com/stories/highlights/17881858399627624/
We have the same car and car seat. We are wanting to install it in the middle back seat but we can’t find how the tether attaches for the middle seat. Do you happen to know?
Do I have to use the back anchor latch for rear facing in the advocate vehicle is a dodge ram 2014. If so, how do I use the back anchor seatbelt is in the little pouch behind the address
If you are using this Evenflo Revolve car seat, you must use the top tether, even when rear-facing. You can look in the Dodge Ram owner's manual for instructions on how to do it.
How do you remove the buckle to extend outward so that my granddaughter can fit into the seat it’s set at the newborn stage and I’d like to do it for the toddler stage. I think it’s called the crotch buckle.
I love this car seat and really want it, but I keep hearing the sensor safe buckle is really easy for children to unlatch. Did you find that to be the case?
Is there a huge difference safety wise between this and the new slim version? I just purchased the slim version due to the size of my car. I can’t find any solid safety info on the slim.
Looking to get this car for my daughter based on your car seat buying kit! 🩷 The original Evenflo gold 360 revolve (not extend) has had terrible reviews of the crotch buckle bruising children and digging into them. I am wondering how these buckle areas differ? And why you may recommend the extend?
I just saw a video that your can extend the crotch piece so its not as tight, it just doesn't explain it well in the manual. Extend allows you to keep your child rear facing (recommended for as long as possible) for 10 extra lbs, 40 lbs vs 50 lbs.
I just installed this seat. Once I set the seat on the base and lock it, the seat still wiggles. It doesn't unlock but I think it moves a lot, is it supposed to be wiggly??
My car manual says a rear facing car seat can only be installed using the lower latch and the top tethers are only used for a forward facing car seat. Am i unable to use this in rear facing mode?
You have to change to a different recline to rotate it and then choose whichever recline you want the child to ride in when you have it back in position
If you install with the lower anchors, you can only use the seat until 30 pounds rear-facing and 35 pounds forward-facing. If you install with the seat belt, you can install it once and use it in both rear and forward-facing modes without having to reinstall the seat.
Would depend on the vehicle. If you have a small car like a Corolla, this would not be a good choice. If you have a mid-size car/suv or larger, it's likely ok behind you
Two questions: do you use either the latch anchors or the seatbelt with the tether anchors… or both if you have the option? Second question. The base is secure but the seat seems very wiggly!? Normal? Thank you.❤
You can install the seat with the lower anchors and top tether OR the seat belt and top tether. Evenflo recommends that you do the seat belt and top tether installation as the lower anchor installation can only be used until the child is 30# for rear-facing or 35# for forward-facing. The seat is a little wiggly; it's normal.
Thank you, I came here looking for answers on this too! The base is tight but the seat rattles when no one is in it and this seems concerning. Also my son looks super bunched up and almost like the seat forces him into a C position instead of being able to have upright posture.. any recommendations for the padding? We took out the infant inserts, he’s just over two. Wanted to love this seat but so far it hasn’t seemed like a great fit.
I just got this car seat as a gift. I have the option to exchange it. What are the pros and cons of this seat? Would you recommend this for a first time mom? Or would you recommend something that I can click in and out to carry?
It's a great option. Easy to install and does fit newborns. We have a full review of this seat here:safeintheseat.com/evenflo-revolve-extend-usa-canada/ AND we have a blog post about whether to use an infant seat or convertible from birth here: safeintheseat.com/infant-car-seat-vs-convertible-car-seat/
It does not work forward-facing due to the non-removable forward tilting headrests. Check out our list of seats here and look for one that says it works well with non-removable headrests like Nuna Rava for example: safeintheseat.com/sits-recommended-car-seats/
Even if you have a lock off, do you lock the shoulder belt if you have a locking retractor? I have the Graco Triogrow, and the seat is tight and not moving an inch, but the shoulder belt isn’t locked with the retractor, just with the locking arm.
If your shoulder bet doesn’t have the lock feature (like in cars built before 1996), then I don’t think it’s necessary , but when in doubt, check your manual! If the car seat base doesn’t move more than 1in in any direction, then it should be fine
Creed video, I have a britax one for Life and have been wondering about the seatbelt for a while, the locking with ratcheting is really important! Thank you
Could you do a comparison between the revolve gold and the slim version? Or are they both the same? I am between the gold revolve or the slim version, thank you in advance
@@safeintheseatthank you for the reply! I thought to myself, “why would the seatbelt be recommended over LATCH”, and so I looked it up and found that the LATCH system has a recommended weight limit of 65 pounds total. I had no idea! Thank you thank you for sharing the manufacturer’s recommendations!
Such a helpful and informative video- thank you!!! Can you provide more info on the difference and ease of deep cleaning the sensor safe model versus the quick-clean model? Thanks so much!
It was a lot more popular than they expected, I think! It's still sold out, but they are working on getting some more. It takes a lot of time with shipping
I just got this seat yesterday and was planning to install over the weekend but with this video I might try today. Can you install this in the center seat?
I'm working on some videos right now about the differences. The slim version is slightly more than 2" narrower and doesn't have a high back mode. It still has the 50#/48" rear-facing limit.
It can swivel from rear facing to the side at any recline level. It will not swivel all the way to forward facing unless it is reclined all the way. You can adjust the recline with the seat in the rear facing position OR when it is swiveled to the side. So that’s nice that it doesn’t HAVE to be in a certain position to change the recline. But it must be fully reclined to swivel all the way to forward facing.
Appreciate your videos! How do you think this would fit behind a 5’8” driver in an Audi Q5? With our Nuna Pipa Lite RX, we have to put it behind the passenger seat since it forces the driver’s seat up so much. Also, do you notice any difference in fabric comfort between the green FR free and the regular fabric of the gold models?
Thanks for watching! If the Nuna Pipa Lite RX doesn't fit behind the driver, then this seat won't fit either. If you want a swivel seat, Nuna Revv and Graco Turn2Me are the most compact front to back
@@safeintheseat Thank you so much for the quick reply! Understood. This seat is just so feature rich we may stick it behind the passenger seat again. Do you know if there’s any difference in fabric comfort/quality between the FR-free and regular fabric (non quick wash)?
You can install it with the seat belt and the top tether OR with the lower anchors and top tether. Evenflo prefers that you use the seat belt and top tether. It's easier to install that way.
The gold version has a lifetime warranty, Evenflo will replace the seat in the event of a crash, and it has the sensorsafe chest clip that alerts you if the child was left in the vehicle after it has been turned off, if the temp is too hot/too cold, if the chest clip is unbuckled, or if the child has been in the car seat for too long.
We just installed ours yesterday and love it!!! Thankful i read the manual because my husband installed it while i was naptrapped and did not put the top tether strap on at first so I’m happy i double checked 😅

They both passed the same crash test and the results are not released so it's impossible to compare how they did.
I’d like to buy this car seat, but how do I measure the backseat of my car to know if it’ll fit?
You can't really. The depth varies by vehicle seat as they have different slopes
Looking to get this car for my daughter based on your car seat buying kit! 🩷
The original Evenflo gold 360 revolve (not extend) has had terrible reviews of the crotch buckle bruising children and digging into them.
When used correctly, this seat will not cause bruising. Many people do not have their crotch buckle used properly
I just installed this seat. Once I set the seat on the base and lock it, the seat still wiggles. It doesn't unlock but I think it moves a lot, is it supposed to be wiggly??
As long as the base doesn't move more than 1" at the belt path and the seat is locked in, it's good. Lots of seats are wiggly
My car manual says a rear facing car seat can only be installed using the lower latch and the top tethers are only used for a forward facing car seat. Am i unable to use this in rear facing mode?
Most vehicle manuals aren't going to show the use of top tethers with rear-facing seats because it's still very uncommon in the US. But it's allowed
This would be perfect it is was also certified flame-retardant free. Any recommendations?
The green version (Green and Gentle) is flame retardant free
Hello! For the smaller head pillow, is there a certain age or size requirement to remove it? Or is it optional always?
Optional always. We always remove the head pillow, even for newborns. It tends to just push the head forward
How do you adjust the recline to be most upright for forward facing when it has to be most reclined to rotate?
You have to change to a different recline to rotate it and then choose whichever recline you want the child to ride in when you have it back in position
I’m curious why the LATCH system is not recommended?
If you install with the lower anchors, you can only use the seat until 30 pounds rear-facing and 35 pounds forward-facing. If you install with the seat belt, you can install it once and use it in both rear and forward-facing modes without having to reinstall the seat.
This video was amazing! Watching the night before we install and feel fully prepared for tomorrow. Thank you for being the best resource out there
Happy to help!
So you are using the top tether anchor but not additional lower anchors, correct? Just routing the seat belt through the belt path?
Correct. Vehicle seat belt through the belt path and then too tether connected to designated spot
I’ve always locked the seatbelt and tightened before closing the lock. Is it mandatory to lock the seatbelt after instead?
I wouldn't say mandatory. As long as you get a tight installation and the seat belt is locked, that is fine
Can someone make a video of how to clean I have the one with sensor safe ans there's no zipper like the regular one
If you check your manual, it shows you how to remove the cover on pages 113-117 and the cleaning directions are on 131
What would you consider as too tall for front seat passengers? Dad is 6 feet and I’m 5’8”. That’s the only thing making me nervous about this seat
Would depend on the vehicle. If you have a small car like a Corolla, this would not be a good choice. If you have a mid-size car/suv or larger, it's likely ok behind you
Is there a weight limit for when they grow out of the seat and head cushion? How do you know when to remove those?
We remove the head insert immediately, even for newborns. You can remove the bottom cushion whenever you want
Hi, the link to the review isn’t working it seems. Is there an updated one? Thanks!
i have the regular evenflo extend, not the gold, is the install going to be any different?
The installation for all models of the Revolve is exactly the same
What kind of car is this? I love the interior and am shopping for a new car. I just bought the evenflo extend gold and need a car to put it in!😂
I honestly don't even remember. I was borrowing someone else's vehicle and can't remember whose I borrowed that time lol
@@safeintheseat ohhh aww okay!
Are the rotating car seats good for the middle seat in particular?
It depends on the vehicle, some vehicles have super narrow seats and none of them are going to work well there.
The instructions made no sense , this helped so much thank you !!
Glad it helped!
Hi ! Does this car seat fits in a Tesla model 3? Thank you!
The Triogrow does not require you to lock the seat belt. The Revolve does require you to lock it.
Just switched from the original 360 to the 360 Slim… I wish I gotten that one. All are great seats though
Both are great options for sure
Creed video, I have a britax one for Life and have been wondering about the seatbelt for a while, the locking with ratcheting is really important! Thank you
The Britax One4Life seat does not need you to lock the seat belt. The clicktight panel is already locking the seat belt for you
Could you do a comparison between the revolve gold and the slim version? Or are they both the same? I am between the gold revolve or the slim version, thank you in advance
The slim is 16.7" wide and does not have a high back booster mode, otherwise the same
Does this also use the LATCH system, and can you use both LATCH and the seatbelt?
You cannot use the lower anchors and the seat belt at the same time. The preferred installation method is the seat belt with the top tether anchor
Thank you! Can this go in the middle of the back seat?
If you can get a tight installation there
My head rest does not lift is it safe placing over the head rest?
You may find it difficult to swivel the seat with a non-removable non-adjustable vehicle headrest
Such a helpful and informative video- thank you!!! Can you provide more info on the difference and ease of deep cleaning the sensor safe model versus the quick-clean model? Thanks so much!
It's just a matter of how easy it is to get the cover off. The quick clean cover comes off with a zipper so it's much easier.
I want this car seat in this color so bad but its sold out everywhere :(
It was a lot more popular than they expected, I think! It's still sold out, but they are working on getting some more. It takes a lot of time with shipping
Is this the only rotating car seat you recommend?
Nope! You can find all of our recommended seats here: safeintheseat.com/sits-recommended-car-seats/
Does this seat lock in the position facing you when trying to put your kid in the seat or does it wiggle around as your kid gets in?
It doesn't wiggle around
I just got this seat yesterday and was planning to install over the weekend but with this video I might try today. Can you install this in the center seat?
If your middle seat is wide enough, then you might be able to.
Does it work with headrests that don’t move? Does the tether just sit off to the side?
It usually works well. In a few vehicles, we've had a hard time swiveling it into the forward-facing position if the headrests tilt very far forward.
Is this a okay car seat if parents and child are pretty tall?
It’s going to depend on the vehicle and bow far back the front passengers have their seats. It’s not a super compact seat
What are the differences between the different models of the Revolve beside the rear facing weight you mentioned for this seat
I'm working on some videos right now about the differences. The slim version is slightly more than 2" narrower and doesn't have a high back mode. It still has the 50#/48" rear-facing limit.
Did you also put lower anchors as well on the car seat aside from the seat belt and anchor in the back of the veichle seat ?
No. Never use both :)
Nope, just the seat belt and the top tether (preferred method) OR the lower anchors and the top tether.
Does it have to be in the fully reclined position to swivel?
It can swivel from rear facing to the side at any recline level. It will not swivel all the way to forward facing unless it is reclined all the way. You can adjust the recline with the seat in the rear facing position OR when it is swiveled to the side. So that’s nice that it doesn’t HAVE to be in a certain position to change the recline. But it must be fully reclined to swivel all the way to forward facing.
Is this the seat linked on list A of your convertible course?
Yes
Oh I want this seat! But I doubt it will fit in my tiny Ford Fiesta 🤪🫠
Why not? I think its the same size as most but the seat in front of it may have to go up a little bit more than usual.
Can you please comment on how the recline is in forward position?
There are a couple of recline options for forward-facing
Best tutorial on YT! Thanks
Wow, thanks!
Can you use both latch and car lap belt??
You can install it with the seat belt and the top tether OR with the lower anchors and top tether. Evenflo prefers that you use the seat belt and top tether. It's easier to install that way.
What is the gold? Is it worth getting over the non-gold?
The gold version has a lifetime warranty, Evenflo will replace the seat in the event of a crash, and it has the sensorsafe chest clip that alerts you if the child was left in the vehicle after it has been turned off, if the temp is too hot/too cold, if the chest clip is unbuckled, or if the child has been in the car seat for too long.
Just bought this car seat! Thank you so much for the information!!
Glad it was helpful!
We just installed ours yesterday and love it!!! Thankful i read the manual because my husband installed it while i was naptrapped and did not put the top tether strap on at first so I’m happy i double checked 😅
Glad you love it! It's important to always read the manual, no matter how many car seats you've installed because they all have different rules 🙂
when does the one without flame retardants come out?
It's out, but it's out of stock because it sold out quickly. More should be available any day now
