Extra creditz sent me here I don't know the game this is from but playing my classic games and showing younger gamers so the games of the past can be preserved
u shouldnt act out of hatred, free your yourself of any evil feelings and let the emptyness guide you... ;) And yes, Im waiting for the last chapter of Shenmue as well as millions do :)
This....is one of my fave remixes I have heard off Ocremix. Very smooth, mellow and just plain fucking good. I could loop this all day and never grow tired of it. Very nicely done Radiowar, you took a great track off an even greater game and made it kick some serious ass...kudos good sir..kudos.
I still believe it could succeed in a modern market if it was released either on the most popular console at the time or all of the consoles. As this generation is nearly over i hesitate to say what consoles would be best. But if it had been released lets say on the Wii as well as the PS3 and 360, they would reach far more people then the Dreamcast ever could, only 10.6 million units were sold roughly. PS alone that has sold over 50 million units, and its sold the least this gen.
Joshua Pruitt I agree with you bro!!!! I think to me personally, what makes Shenmue such an astonishing game is because of the storyline...showing learning the martial art philosophies from from both Japan and China...and to top it we learn more about the Chinese culture and that you would see Chinese martial artists and characters still wearing their traditional clothing and still using their old ways in the modern era...Another thing what made the storyline so beyond amazing is because it’s so realistic but at the same time fictional...even the characters were very realistic...overall the whole story was realistically adventurous
I don't think the makers of this game is dead. They were talking about making a three, but were a bit skeptical because of the bad sales of the others. That game should have been way more popular than it was.
Just listened to this for the first time... pretty awesome! (Thank you Extra Credits!) Actually at first I thought this was related to "Corridors of Time" from ChronoTrigger, another beautiful piece.
English is taught early on in all wealthy continental schools. It's the new Greek; we will probably see a few generations of non-English kids learn both English and their native languages and have a great advantage for that. I've seen college kids saying in Florence revert to English as a common language and any time I tried to speak in German when I was in Berlin, they'd switch to English before I had a chance to practice.
It will never come. Nobody knows the game. The lead progamer and Designer of Shenmue is dead(I think) and They may have to make remake of 1 and to 2 so that there are enough people which would buy it. But Shenmue was even by the realse on dc not very popular. It cost 50-60 million Dollar but they never selled somany games that it made profit. If my brother wouldnt own a dc, i wouldnt know this great game. (Sorry for my bad english, im german but i do my best)
I disagree to the extent of how written language emits different responses to those unaware of different backgrounds BECAUSE it is written. Some people don't want to mix in with those whose native-English speakers you oh-so look down upon.
Stop apologizing for knowing MULTIPLE languages. A lot of people who don't speak English as their first language. Fact is your English is fine and it's flawless by comparison when you compare it to 99% of English speakers who will attempt to speak German (or any other language) and fail at it. Give yourself more credit. You have advantages just because.
Am I the only one getting a MASSIVE Nujabes vibe from this? Amazing work!
Surprised no one here is talking about the Shenmue 3 announcement :o
God bless whoever made this dope beat.
After years of not listening to this, and one day remembering it.
I am back, feels like home.
rest in peace, lost games of long ago

Shenmue 1 and 2 remixes have been seriously lacking on OCR. Two of the largest and most diverse soundtracks in gaming.
