Vandaag kreeg ik de Flying Scotsman binnen. Een prachtige slanke, zwaar uitgevoerd loc; de dynamische rookuitstoot maakt het super realistisch. Er is alleen een grote tekortkoming: de loc blijkt veel te weinig trekkracht te hebben voor mijn spiralen, die vrijwel geheel zijn afgesteld op circa 2,5 procent stijgingspercentage. Zelfs een sleep van vier kleine coupérijtuigen doet de loc slippen. Met langere rijtuigen lukt het al helemaal niet. Alles geprobeerd. Een grote teleurstelling. Met geen enkele andere loc (zelfs de lichtste) heb ik geen problemen; die trekken alles keurig naar boven. Ben benieuwd naar andere ervaringen.
@@hovermotion You are right. This is unworthy of Märklin. Certainly for a loc which has been so extensivibly been announced for almost a year and awaited for by so many. I have thought of your suggestion myself, but I decided that I will definitively not tinker with this model. The vendor already agreed to take it back. But it's really a pity.
@@KareldVM its a shame but you have done the right decision, it's odd as all my Marklin Trix locos are very heavy and pull fine but I do not have the helixs system you have so I will probably keep my order when it arrives from my shop in the U.k. P.s Looking at the exploded diagram the loco only has two wheel drive due to the space been taken by the dynamic smoke chamber. Never seen this before from Marklin. That's not good for Marklin , is the loco tender drive, can you add more ballast to the drive wheels?
