It is devastating so few people have seen the absolutely stunning piece of art this is. I am digging around for DM bullet journal ideas, so a lot of this isn't super relevant for me, and my jaw has been dropped watching this whole thing. 😵 you are a creative force of magic!
Love that you set up such a beautiful base, but left plenty for him to fill in on his own, so it’s really ‘his’. Wonderful journal and video, I’ve gotten tons of ideas! :)
Wow! This is great! I just started playing D&D this year. You’ve just given me so many ideas for either my next campaign or when I run out of pages in my current note-taking notebook.
Just found your channel and scrolling your playlists when I came across this video. This is amazing! I love seeing how people do D&D notebooks. I keep a journal for D&D but it's purely campaign notes, which vary from detailed enough even the DM requests to look at them sometimes to nothing but expletives about someone taking a fireball to the face. I love how chaotic mine gets. lol
Wow! That's an excellent setup. I'm not a gamer, but I am a writer. My writing brain was all... now that's adaptable for a series/character bible... and now I'm going to figure out how to do exactly that - once I get an appropriate journal - set up the "beginning of the series" character information, places to record items of interest, backstory, and how the character changes over time... other major characters, minor characters... it's just... yeah, thanks so much for sharing this!
Super cool! Tho technically the first role-playing game was Tunnels and Trolls, a game modeled off D&D, after the T&T creator played D&D but decided to make something akin but easier to play solo or by mail (snail mail was the only option back in the 70's) so he made T&T and it states role-playing on the box whereas D&D was originally a table-top wargame that evolved...which is why many still use actual maps and minis ala wargaming. I only recently learned this as I discovered T&T cus I play solos a lot, but oddly hadn't heard of T&T till lately. I just thought it was a cool bit of history to know. The best part of T&T is all the older stuff works with the new stuff with very very few changes. It didn't have the crazy growth path of D&D, but then it was never taken over by WotC either.
Wow, this is incredible!! I love it. When my partner and I start our next campaign I will be using your setup as my model! Thank you for the fantastic inspiration 💕
I love this!! I still think maybe a ring-bound notebook or system where pages can be added and removed may work better. It's going to depend on the campaign -- or how often you play a single character in varying campaigns.
Lmao I really had no clue what D&D was & when you referenced stranger things I was still clueless as I never watched it. I told my son and he just lost it laughing at me. Oh well.🤣🤣
Not recently. I played years ago -- years and years go. HA! I don't know where I would find the time. We will play the tabletop Hero's Quest. That's probably as close as I'll get these days.
@@bethandbeyond1 it’s been a hot minute since I played the Hero’s Quest game. My boxes have fallen apart so it’s all in plastic bags now. Good memories of playing it though.
Noemi, I took my time and set this up over many days. On average, I probably spent an hour on the pages with heavy text. For the charts or tables - 10 minutes for the structure, 20 minutes for the special font.

Oh my gosh! THIS is super stunning! Your son has the BEST MOM EVER!!
THANK YOU! I do some things right. Ha!

I'm so glad you found it helpful.
Beth, this is just incredible. The time you must have put into it is a sign of your love for Kenny.
Oh, thank you. I've got good kids. ;)

I LOVE this! Thank you for sharing. I've been looking to create my own D&D journal and I found this super helpful and beautiful to look at.
I'm so glad you like it and found something useful in it! Happy D&D journal crafting!

Belle, I also write (for myself mostly), but YES this is a good resource for that as well! Thanks for planting the idea in my noggin'.

Interesting.
I love this... I am a dnd player and I think I will adopt this idea.... Perfection in every way.
Thank you!
This is such a great setup! If you need more pages, you can always do some tip ins.
I do love a tip in when needed!
This is the perfect setup for DND! Beautiful and useful!
Thank you, Sara!

Oh, yay! I'm so glad you found some inspiration in it.
I’m definitely doing this I’m creating a campaign now and my ideas and notes are so scattered all over the place. I’m super excited.

I love this so hard! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
This is awesome
THANKS!
This is beautiful! I love the lore page! If I ever play in person again I will have to add that.
Has your son gotten you to play yet?

My niece is very interested in D&D but is just starting. Do you have any recommendations for spreads for general D&D knowledge, as I have none?
I don't, but I do have a channel recommendation for all things D&D, especially for beginners: @GinnyDi
The DM Lair is also a good channel and he has some free resources which are pretty good.
