Here I'm using a Sennheiser e835 microphone and a Taylor 214e with an LR Baggs Anthem plugged into one Yamaha STAGEPAS 200 speaker. I'm using the STAGEPAS CONNECT mobile app available on the App store to fine tune the mix. The app allows you to Store Presets/Scenes of mixes that you can recall for quick setup.
Each channel has the option for 4 band EQ, compression, reverb, delay, and chorus. There are 32 types of Reverb you can choose from. There is also a 6 band-EQ on the Master-bus that allows for more fine tuning for the overall EQ of the mix.
My volume was at -6.5 for this video and the filmer (Carissa) was about 10ft away from me. Thanks, Carissa!
I wish there was the ability to Mute channels so I don't have to lower the Master volume to 0 when I take a short break or unplug an instrument.
I also wish there was more than a 4-band EQ per channel. You can definitely get a decent vocal sound, but I think you can get a much quicker vocal sound on other portable speakers like the Electrovoice Everse 8. I still need to do a little more tweaking on the vocal sound before I'm completely satisfied. I'm pretty happy with the guitar sound here. I'll post another video that demonstrates the guitar a bit more.

I love my STAGPAS 200 too,, Makes my solo gigs so much easier
so glad you like it! Do you use the mobile app?
@@MichaelAlso Yes I did!!!!
just incredible
thanks so much, Andrew & 5150 Show!
Awesome..as usual! 😊
thank you, Jean!
Good voice and player.
I appreciate that!
Amigo una pregunta cual suena mas bonito y mas fuerte.
So nice! Do you also have tge Everse 8? Which one sounds better? The Yamaha or the Everse?
I do have and love the Everse 8. The Everse 8 gets a great sound quicker out of the box and has an excellent mobile app. The Yamaha has more inputs so I can play with a duo and the app is pretty good and the Yamaha is 125db vs. Everse 121db. Right now I have the Yamaha as my main speaker for smaller gigs and use the Everse 8 as my floor monitor...sending the mix from Yamaha to Everse and just controlling volume, EQ, and reverb on my floor monitor. You can't go wrong with either speaker
@@MichaelAlso Thank you so much for the detailed information. Yes I was leaning towards the Yamaha because of its 3 xlr inputs and straight forward onboard mixer. But its a lot heavier than Everse 8. I am a petite female singer with an acoustic guitar. Looking for a battery powered speaker for home and small gigs. If I had to get one, which one do you recommend based on sound quality only? I did not find many people on UA-cam who actually own both. You are the only person (except the sellers) with both these speakers. Your opinion would be really valuable for me to choose the right one. Please help me to decide 🙏🏼
@@pvsamorgan9803 I really do like both the Yamaha Stagepas 200 and the Everse 8. The Everse 8 will be fine for you if you're doing solo gigs at restaurants and small bars and backyard private events and you want a light-weight speaker. Check out Aaron Short's UA-cam page where he talks about many portable PA speakers. Keep me in the loop to let me know what you decide on
@@MichaelAlso Thanks a ton! I will. I will check the channel you recommended.
@@MichaelAlso this is only comparison video available (different language though). Yamaha sounded superior to my ears. I am sharing the link - please watch it from 3:22

can it fill a medium sized room?
Thanks for the question, forced me to evaluate/review my experience with it so far since May 2023. I use the Yamaha Stagepas 200 for smaller spaces both indoors and outdoors (bars, restaurants, small wineries, backyard events) that average about 50 people and my volume averages -8 on the Master Volume using the mobile app. So I definitely have room to go if I need to but generally patrons need to be able to hear themselves talk. The speaker Max SPL is 125db. I think it's a great speaker for smaller events. Anything where you need more coverage, I would get a bigger speaker or use two of these in tandem. I have bigger Yamaha DBR12 speakers for larger wineries, breweries, etc.
What song are you playing?
The Middle by Jimmy Eat World
@@MichaelAlso Thanks, you sound great btw 🤟
@@adamtier3263 very much appreciate that! Highly recommend this speaker for gigs with 50-100 ppl in audience, great for small restaurants / bars / backyard events
@@MichaelAlso I bought one yesterday 😎 I'm just getting to grips with the app controller and EQ.. Used a Roland AC 33 for busking purposes for years, but was limited with only the two input channels.. Decided to pull the trigger and upgrade to the Yamaha, so far so good 👍
@@adamtier3263 I'm probably going to make a video showing my EQ / Settings. I've improved the sound since making this video and am much happier with how it sounds as of recent. Fewer mids in the sound sounds better to me. I think the app is pretty great and you can save Scenes/Settings and load them up when you get to a venue
