    Description:
Spanning two states and over 3000 feet in elevation change, the Morgan Ranches offers some of the most diverse yet complimentary country for any ranch in the West. This first-class cattle and hunting ranch is a rare offering and is defined by its expansive and varied terrain, which enabled an award-winning cattle operation, is home to trophy big game hunting, and offers some of the most breathtaking views one can experience.
The thoughtfully assembled and expertly managed 10,838+/- deeded acres are connected and extended by over 30,000 acres of leased grazing ground, spreading across three distinct climates and providing ample water, hay, year-round grazing, and recreation. The Idaho ranch, comprised of just over 5,700 deeded acres, sits just over the border from Jordan Valley, Oregon in the Owyhee Mountain Range, bracketed by the Silver City Range and South Mountain. A majority of the irrigated ground lies in the low country along Jordan Creek under the cliffs of the Owyhee Canyons and serves for both hay production and spring and fall grazing. Following the creeks up South Mountain, deeded and leased ground climb over 2000’ to the timber ridges and draws of South Mountain’s high country. The high country’s meadows and cooler temperatures make for excellent summer grazing. When the cooler fall temperatures push the cows back down, the focus turns to trophy elk hunting in Idaho’s controlled Unit 40, which is also home to impressive mule deer, antelope and mountain lion populations. Landowner permits and tags are available in both states, allowing consistent hunting opportunities.
Equally as expansive and beautiful, the Oregon Ranches’ 5,100+ deeded acres lay 50 miles west in Rome, Oregon with the historic Pillars of Rome serving as its entrance. 1000 feet lower in elevation from Idaho’s low country, the dry, desert climate is ideal for winter ranges. Crooked Creek supplies water across 200+/- irrigated acres that produce about five tons an acre of hay in three cuts, with the fourth cut being left for October’s first arrival of cows. Mule deer, ducks, geese, and a host of other animals frequent this oasis in the desert that somehow seems to have more water leave the property than enters.

I’m fortunate to live in Idaho. Born n raised half my life in Az n half here. It certainly teaches you how water resources are vital to everything. Due to my health I haven’t been able to hunt in about 15 yrs. My best friend would take me up with her. She passed 6 yrs ago and was it devastating. Seems like yesterday you can go anywhere in Idaho and find a piece of heaven. This year so many people have moved in from Cal and old iconic homes bought for higher prices or houses are demolished to build apts or new subdivision s. Az taught me to be mindful of water droughts were all we had. I’m 40 min in any direction to mountain ,river or lakes. Ranching is vital for generations to come. I’m hoping to find somewhere to retire on for mine to be handed down with my starship home. They are unique and totally self sufficient. Bless all your families

I moved here in 1980 . Never leaving , but it is way to crowded now and ACHD & IDOT are slow at improving the roads and infrastructure to handle this influx of people . Eagle .

@@RW-bt6ex I moved here to help care for my mother. Bought my house on a little street with homes across w 2acres. Now I have 6sets of 4plexes and they just leveled out another to build more. On the main road over 5houses leveled ,another corner over there more Apt n now the road out of my way out of here more apt right next to airport. My mother passed two yrs ago Christmas , my brother sold n moved out of state n my dad passed 9 yrs ago. I guess it’s really time to get a piece of land somewhere now way out of towns. I envy the ranchers. It’s a hard living for sure but they are good at it!
