I would like to state that I made an error regarding the hand guesture features on the mx4's at specifically 16:50 - 17:08 in this video. When I was recording this video, I tried this hand guesture on the mx4's and it didn't seem to work at the time. However, I later found out that it does support the volume hold feature. There is documentation that confirms this and I tested it myself again and it supports it. Seems you have to be a little more precise on these to activate it. Most of the videos I saw said that they make a hot spot on the head and that it is difficult to wear them for more than an hour. Does it change the structure of the head or what?
How are the headphone's condition now a days? I want to buy 1 or the other and wear to the gym. I have the XM2 currently and sweat a ton in those. Still sound great, but they are old and the cups are worn. Looking forward to even better sound and ANC for the gym

Hi, Short answer, Yes. According to Sony, "you can use the headset as noise canceling headphones while the headset is connected to a device via the supplied headphone cable and the headset is turned on.". However, if the headset is turned off while using the cable, the ANC can not be used.

Hi Uğur, I can confirm that there are two ways to use the headset with the provided headphone cable. 1. The headset is Turned ON. When on, the ANC/Ambient sound modes both work. You can use the NC/AMB mode button on the left earphone to switch between these modes. You can't do it via the headphone app because when the headphone cable is used, the Bluetooth capabilities are turned OFF, so the headset can not connect with a mobile device to use the app. The sound quality is improved. 2. The headset is Turned OFF. You can only listen to music, the sound quality is not great.

Just added the XM4s to my arsenal of now 12 headphones. I felt like my collection needed a pair from Sony, so after much research, I went with the 4s as i believe they fit my style more. Great video, I was happy to sub, you do good with.

Nice video bro everything was explained to detail I loved it I went with the WH1000XM5's and I got them in the midnight blue color the sound quality is the best I listen to many music on mines and the bass is not that hardcore you can actually listen to the instruments without distortion I love my headphones so much

I just bought the XM4 on Amazon Prime day for $249. I was indecisive between the XM4, Sennheiser Momentum 4 or the Bose QC45. Did i make the right decision? 😂😂
Does the auto anc on the xm5 make the anc significantly worse than the xm4? I've seen people dislike the auto anc since it won't block out as much sound compared to the xm4.
It’s not significantly worse, in my opinion it’s just not as consistent as the XM4s ANC performance . Since the XM5 use auto, you will definitely feel like it’s not on par with the XM4’s.
Should I buy the xm5 or the xm4 model? They both cost the same here and I want an overall good headphone for music/studying/gaming/general use. I also want something that is more durable, something that lasts longer. I also don't really travel much. But I do really like ANC/Transparency.
It's weird that different UA-camrs have different opinions about the xm5s ANC. Some UA-camrs like Marques Brownlee say that the xm5s ANC is much better than the xm4, while others say the opposite. I really don't know who to trust. I'm buying headphones for ANC and durability, and I really want to know which of these two is better.

@@sv0mega125 If your main use is going to be for watching lectures, any one of them would probably do the job just fine. I would imagine comfortability would be the main factor if you'll be using them for extended 2-3 hour periods. I have no experience with the galaxy buds 2 pro, but between the Xm4's and Xm5's, I would lean a bit more towards the Xm5 for me personally because they feel a little bit more comfortable to wear over longer periods than the Xm4's.
