Thank you for sharing your expertise. I still would go to a drycleaner for something really expensive but for a suit coat that is not so expensive I would give it a go. Thanks much very
My washing machine does not have all the departments to put all the solutions in before cleaning. I have softener and soap. No pre on my washing machine. I love the steam iron that you have! It the coolest thing because it so compact but powerful. You go to department stores and they have the full size heavy clunker and it does not do a good job either. I love the covering for you iron too. I look to find something like that in Bed Bath and Beyond and they never heard of something like that!
Guys alot of drycleaners do this, they wash it in Cold water with no more than 2 spins or no spins at all, ive tried this method and it worked magically, and btw normal irons are kinda suck, the iron hes using has a steamer and a cloth pusher that pushes the cloth to the board, plus it doesnt throw cals the white thing that come out of water when it boiled.
What's so wrong about dry cleaning? I don't use them that often because I do a better job with creases myself. But when I have to they do a pretty good job in my opinion.
Doug Moreland I know right?! Well the dry cleaner could be where he lives...lol But this still isn't a DIY cause the only thing most people have is H20 and an iron at home not all people have access to the dry cleaners otherwise I wouldn't have watched this to begin with.
Thanks for the video, please i would like to know what iron u were using in the video and where i can purchase it online. Is it a gravity fed system or a boiler setup, it looks like it produces alot of steam
How to clean your suit jacket Step 1: turn this video off Step2: get a steamer or iron (for iron hover over the suit) Step3: put the steamer on the suit and bam clean and smell free enjoy :D
Very true. You only need dry cleaning for extreme stain removel. I have had a steamer for about 15 years and it helps to preserve your clothes from the harsh dry cleaning process.
random guy hey random guy can I put a towel over the suit and then use the iron will that work too or do I really have to hover it over the suit and pants
You can get a sleeve board from walmart and these chemicals are easy to find. He didn't use anything you couldn't find with a little effort....its just some people don't even want to lean forward to put the tit in their mouth.
the fact that it might be done in a dry cleaners is good because then you know he is legitimate. I think he should be thanked, not analyzed for sharing his expertise. Come one now! Don't shoot the messenger.
+l harrison That's because, at the start of the washing, he didn't select the spin option which usually should have removed the water; and which if he did, would have created wrinkles on the suit. :)
Diana Baskin You are right, It's definitely cheaper just to drive to the dry cleaners and pay them to do it. All you'd have is gas money and whatever the cleaner bill cost in it. That washing machine he used is probably close to a thousand bucks! Ain't nobody got time or money for that.
He used a sleeve board...available at wallmat...and these chemicals are easy to find....you dont have a iron? I'm confused on how this is so difficult. Were dry cleaning a wool suit here, not washing a load of whites.
The problem with this video is that he doesn't go into much detail about the products he's using (I'm guessing it's some mild chemical or even a gentle soap with water), and he is pressing the jacket after with a steam iron/press... which a home iron really doesn't have the same effect. Honestly, if you are that stuck for cash and can't get your jacket dry cleaned and desperately need it cleaned, washing it on a delicate cycle, COLD WATER, with very gentle soap (and not in a washing machine with an agitator), you can wash it safely and hang to dry. The problem with doing it at home though is that it will lose it's shape. I'm surprised he didn't dry the jacket using a silhouette (suzy/etc). That's the way we will dry anything, including silk blouses that we have wet cleaned, unless it's safer to hang to dry. Dry clean only doesn't always mean dry clean only. It's sometimes just to cover the manufacturer's butt in case a customer reads "Gentle Cycle/Cold Wash" and assumes they can wash it, and throw it in a warm cycle with a harsh soap and then extra hot dry. Drycleaners will know when they need to wash a dry clean only garment (and usually then if there's a risk they will let the customer know) In my opinion, you should always get your suit dry cleaned, the only time it should be washed is when you have spilled something that can't be blown out onto it, and even then make sure you trust your drycleaner to wet clean it safely. I woudn't attempt doing something like a jacket yourself unless you had no choice. Not because the washing process is difficult, but because the drying/ironing process is not the same.
This is stupid, this guy is doing all of this at a local dry cleaner. You also don't water wash every 100% wool material jacket, it could shrink and cause wrinkles that will never come out. He's using a commercial dry cleaner steam press machine that would cost too much to set up at home. Unless, you want to set up a extra boiler for your steam press machine at your house, I would avoid this video. Just a strange video overall.
This is hardly a "DIY at home video". I only pay $.60 per garment at my cleaners, and with your materials and time cost, I seriously doubt this is worth it.
@Captain Brandon Horror Film Lover The thing is that any person has to agree with you cuz you are totally right. I was also watching these kind of videos as I have a jacket that I took to a dry clean and they charged me the money but it remained exactly the same as when I took it there and then they told me:" we tried but couldnt do much to it". Lol.
@Captain Brandon Horror Film Lover I dont even know what material it is. It is a Helly Hensen sport jacket. Or they cheated and just charged me the money and did not even touch it and lied saying they couldnt clean it. I dont want to ruin my jacket so thats why I prefer to take it to a professional but if a professional cant do the job...im screwed
@Captain Brandon Horror Film Lover Yes. Here where I live all cleaners we have are big brands. I am writing from Portugal, from Madeira Island. It is known for being Cristiano Ronaldo birth place. I live here for almost 30 years. I arrived 7-02-1990 at the age of 8 and just turned 38 but I am original from Trinidad and Tobago. My mother is from Venezuela and so is all her family. My dad from Trinidad but all his family is from Madeira. Lol. But its funny to see people face when I say I was born in Tinidad and Tobago being white. Hahaha. Where about are you from?
Thank you for posting this, you have given me a solution to my dry cleaning nightmare.
Beautiful job. But... Is this really the "dry" cleaning process?
Mr. Kim thank you so much for posting this! I love to take care of my clothes at home and with this knowledge, I can get expert results all the time.
I read other articles that said you need to put in a garment bag during wash, and also to flat dry and not hang dry.
Thank you for sharing your expertise. I still would go to a drycleaner for something really expensive but for a suit coat that is not so expensive I would give it a go. Thanks much very
Thanks for the info. Where can we get the chemicals? Are they expensive?

Where can we get the h2 solutions?! Good job.
lol Did you shoot this at a dry cleaner? That defeats the purpose of the "at home" part lol.
+Doug Moreland I wonder why also.
Doug Moreland I know right?! Well the dry cleaner could be where he lives...lol But this still isn't a DIY cause the only thing most people have is H20 and an iron at home not all people have access to the dry cleaners otherwise I wouldn't have watched this to begin with.

Wonderful job 👍
How do you keep the wool from shrinking?
There's a product called OdorJet. Eliminates the need to dry clean most of the time.
How to clean your suit jacket

Can you iron with normal with the norml iron
building muscle hell no.😂😂😂That,s A professional press. I used one for 20 years.
I just did on my lapels, I had to iron a crease back in them. Did ok.
Where is this? Do you have a "dry cleaner" set up in your basement?
How can I buy the h2o products?
Let me just pull out my iron sleeve board from behind my industrial cleaner solution to DIY
You can get a sleeve board from walmart and these chemicals are easy to find. He didn't use anything you couldn't find with a little effort....its just some people don't even want to lean forward to put the tit in their mouth.

@@SgtHenick EXACTLY!
@@s.w.a.l.k2184 The finished work looks beautiful too.
@SgtHenick where can I find the chemicals?
No hassle...all you need is an industrial steam iron with a 50 gallon pressure tank to do all the technical stuff
Where do we buy the 3 solutions
When doing a DIY dry clean only jacket/ blazer at home video. 1st step would be to actually do it at home.
It doesnt matter where you do the video as long as it can be replicated from home.....dont be dumb.
Why was so much water dripping from the jacket,it shouldn't have been that wet coming out of the washer?
+l harrison That's because, at the start of the washing, he didn't select the spin option which usually should have removed the water; and which if he did, would have created wrinkles on the suit. :)
I gotcha.
Nice job but too technical. I don't have an iron like this. If I have to buy all these things, I might as well take to the cleaners.
+Diana Baskin Yes right.

Isn't h2o = water?
Jessie Lu H20 is water but this guy is using a solution/chemical in the water so it's not just H20.
oh ok thanks for the reply nice video
where can i find these H20's solution.
Nwannaa Umuigbo. Your faucet.
yes but if you buy iron shoe it won't shine or burn
Good things to do this in home...
good
So we still have to buy your solution? This is not DIY.

Mr Kim I want job in dry clean
Show your hand iron thoroughly. How iron comes from the team team. Show them how they are. We see the iron of iron is a lot better.
ummmm.... how can this be at home if it has things I don't have at home? I'm about $10,000 short of all the stuff in this video
If I have Dry cleaning material like that,I will build my own shop for dry cleaning. That is not easy.I am looking easy way at home.
what the hell are you in a factory? no one at home has all those gadgets lol
+Kizzy I laughed so hard with your comments.
REally? you dont have a washing machine and an iron?
At home? Does everyone one have a dry cleaner in their shed?
Nikeboxes. I had never even heard of a sleeve ironing board.
The only thing at home about this was the dryer sksksksk

Are you really that dumb?

H2O IS WATER :))))))
And 'Proper Hanger' = Hanger....
'H2o Bright' = Soap..... :)
He's not at home and doesn't tell me any of the stuff I really need to know.. Dumb.

that's a mean comment
Ya huh. 5 bucks to professionally dry clean my sport coats. This ain't gonna happen.
Incredible way to set someone up for failure and ruin their suits. Just go buy a steamer and voila!
Explain how he is setting us up....dont just toss out accusations without context.
2 days to clan 1 jacket jajajajaa

he's trying to sell his h20 solution, which is bs. Don't get duped by this guy's "magical" solutions. It's a scam.
