TSM does work IN THEORY by sifting through auction data on all servers, but if you even think of using the prices on it as any sort of value guide, be prepared to see virtually all of your items come back unsold when priced at TSM prices. TSM is very useful and accurate when used to display vendor prices when the item is looted, but if you use their "Regional Average" prices as a gauge of worth, you will regularly be sorely disappointed by your AH results. My best suggestion is to use the REGION SALE RATE to choose items with very large numbers. These items can sometimes have a large spread in buy and sell prices that can be used to profit as a reseller, or as a crafter to know what items will sell reliably. (I would rather make 5-10% profits on 100k of volume on something that takes me 10 minutes to sift than spending hours trying to find one resellable transmog that will make me MAYBE 30k) Considering the amount of time needed to travel from one vendor to the next, you are often better served blasting through a solo heroic 25 man raid from several expansions ago in 20 minutes or so to earn a very consistent 5,000-6,000 per hour gold rate. Granted, it's not like hitting the WoW gold lottery, but your profits will easily buy a game time token every month for a few hours of grinding. Even easier and more profitable the more toons you have at cap level with reasonable gear.

Profiting off peoples laziness and uniformed nature is great.

As an update the weapons bought in Stormpeaks are now green BoPs, meaning they cannot be resold anymore.
