Hey all, Thank you for watching our channel. Our team is committed to constantly improving the quality of this show with each region we visit and we hope you'll join us for the ride!
I recommend you hire someone who is just as robust as you, Sonny, to do the reviews in India. Same format, but use your name. This is boring as it is right now.
Next time please have tele bhaja (fritters) in your Kolkata visit. They are more authentic bengali snacks than chilla , which is actually a west indian dish (Rajasthan, Gujarat).
The only thing missing from this series is Sunny taking a bite and explain the flavour, someone should eat it Infront of camera, it feels like it's incomplete without it
These videos are scams. He just narrates after his underlings go out and film. I believe Sonny moved to the US with his new bride and has no intention on returning to Vietnam.
@@ScottLevick-n6p It gets worse when you see deplorable cooking conditions and undercooked food served. It's like culinary propaganda. Ever since Mark Wiens created his second channel, every other food influencer followed suit. Then these hosts mysteriously appear on each others videos validating the alternate channel.
Sonny never fails to bring a smile to my face. I wish I could join him someday on this amazing experience filled journey. Where UA-cam and news is filled with so much doom and hate, this is one of my go to shows. Humour and hunger together
The people who consume these kind of food are street dwellers and people from hutments and low income groups. Most of them care little about hygiene. That's also one reason why most of the street food is boiled in hot water or fried in hot oil. Taste and cost effectiveness matters much more than keeping the stations clean. Most of these street food vendors also sit close to a sewer system running either below the cart or next to their shop, not to forget the dust raised by vehicular traffic right in front of the shop.
Bro 60 rupees a day won't buy you anything, rent(living space), food three times a day, transportation, you sure can survive by eating subzi kachori 20 times a week but I think it would be healthy
Moong dal chilla is actually a west indian dish originating from Rajasthan and Gujarat. Kolkata street food is incomplete without tele bhaja (fritters). They are traditional bengali deep fried snacks or breakfast items. Alur chop (Potato fritters), beguni (brinjal fritters), peyaji (onion fritters), dal bora (lentil fritters) are really famous.. and you get them for around 6 Rs each.
Nothing will survive in that heat, so don't worry. The only thing that will hurt you if they are using expired/rotten stuff. And the spice if you aren't used to it.
I don't understand why people in the comments are complaining about Sonny not hosting this show, it is after all a side channel. I just love watching amazing people making beautiful food. You all still get to see him on his main original channel. Would love to visit India it's a beautiful country with amazing people and happens to be my favourite food of all time.
They complain because they want high quality content with a host taste testing the food. Now you may be okay with just seeing people prepare food, but others aren't. Do you understand now? Edit: This is fake advertising as well. We came expecting Sonny and we got a voice over of a footage. Change the title to "the best ever food voice over Sonny absent edition". 😂
@@kashbanerjee753 no way Delhi is lower than Kolkata in any kind of food, be it fine dining or street food. Obviously cost wise Kolkata is better, but quality rules in Delhi food.
Unsure how people are expecting Sonny to do videos both in India and other countries at the same time. It's the same style as the other videos and the one video without Sonny wasn't as popular.
It's not the same without you Sonny. You reading a script is not why I follow the BEFRS. For example, at 02:10, you say fry ground nuts, when infact it's groundnuts, another name for peanuts. I get it, you have to pay the bills, but now it's more about quantity than quality...
In any country getting sick from unsanitary conditions is most concerning, as long as the food is cooked/fried or grilled and no cross contamination. Go for it.
As some of the items look delicious, I assume if I plan to visit there. It will be a slew of antiviral somethings I would need to take and just have all the different oTC meds for stomach issues. while there?
I completely support Sonny and his staff for bringing us new ideas and fresh content. Your videos are VERY well produced and edited. With that said watching food prep in India makes me want to gag. I don't see the food I just see how food is prepared by submerging their various extremities into the recipe while being prepared on the floor near their feet. Seeing Sonny's reactions to the food and quick wit in front of the camera would negate all of the cringy imagery. I will continue to watch ANY CONTENT SONNY AND HIS TEAM PUT OUT. I would watch Sonny interviewing a stick and enjoy it. Sonny and Anthony Bourdain are all time legends.
Most of this food looks absolutely delicious, but I know I would be teetering on actual death if I tried to eat any of this 🤣. My stomach/body does not have the necessary bacteria to be able to eat this street food💀
The key ingredient is getting used to the fruits and vegetables in the area.. Curd and stuff. That builds your local bacteria culture and you can eat these without worry.
This channel is getting needless amounts of hate. At the end of the day, he’s providing exposure to businesses within the region, and he’s introducing people outside of the region to a delicious cuisine they may not be familiar with. If you don’t like it, simply click off
So nice of the state of West Bengal were they think for the profit of customers..Not like in Shillong the meghalaya, where every thing is costly....except a local vendor seeling chana and alu or a chow still it can be affordable.....in meghalaya u won't get a Puri of 7rs...what a difference in the price comparing to our state meghalaya...is this the fault of government not checking the rate of street vendor how they put rate????

Absolutely
These videos are scams. He just narrates after his underlings go out and film. I believe Sonny moved to the US with his new bride and has no intention on returning to Vietnam.
The moment he finishes explaining it and somebody else's hands tear into it and we see the name/cost, it's like an incomplete, unresolved melody.

i think hes not trying eat because if you go to india to eat food, you will end up with sarmonella and dirreha as a bonus.
Man... The pull-apart of chicken at 4:52 was RAW.
Medium Rare
I would write the same here. raw chicken? Noooo pls 😂
looked raw to me as well
I'm colorblind and saw that
Yess...even i was thinking the same thing
That’s where I was adopted from at 18months old! I went back to visit when I was 11! Amazing food!
thats so cool :) May you have a blessed life always. take care :)
when foreign food vloggers or youtubers aren’t getting views on their other’s videos they make videos on india to gain views🤣🤣
Whoever chose the music did a great job!
Audio transitions are too abrupt. They need to fade in more gradually instead of db drop.
