The switch is very simple in construction, it is not sealed, so dirt and water probably got into it and electrocorrosion took place inside. Personally, I had previously replaced these switches with new ones, but unnecessarily, because the repair is simple - you can disassemble it, clean it, gently bend the inner plates to improve contact and it will be like new. Although to be honest I broke a few switches before I learned how to take them apart and put them back together correctly. Cables under the cabin... WPL still has few cables, so you probably wouldn't want to see how many I have in my models, 5 times more is not even an understatement. Good video! 👍👍👍👍👍
I think the switch issue was caused by corrosion after that video I made on the mud (ua-cam.com/video/ijt2xFhqj0g/v-deo.html). That place is full of salt because in the past it was a salt marsh. I had many corrosion problems after that. There was a lot of rust and the batteries I used had their connectors completely consumed. That is a beutiful place, full of pink flamingos, but it is not good for metal stuff. HEHEHE
@@RadioCommando Oh yes, maybe this is the reason, salt can very quickly destroy the elements of the model, I know it from my friends who tried to drive by the sea and later showed the effects. The rusty chains I have on the models are not painted with paint - they are real rust. I left the chains for a few days in a glass filled with water with a few tablespoons of salt.
