so many ideas come to mind for this... thank you!
Haha have fun
Thanks for the info + video!
I chucked Paypal after 22 years after their failed "marketing glitch" where they tried to fine people up to $2,500 if you made social media comments they deemed "misinformation". RIP - 1,000+ of transactions from June 2000 to last year.
Paypal doesn't care about your peanuts
@@sirmustardofhousemayonnais9907 They must - they sent out payments to people to keep them on the platform; a payment apology. It was a bad look.
Haha I heard about this... seems like a lost cause from the start on their end
Thank you for a video! I got this debit card requirement now and was able to pay quite a few of my monthly bills with it via PayPal :)))
Great video RJ. Would be great if you can made one on Wise specifically. Not 100% sure how i would use that to send to cover DD requirements.
I'll put it on the list, thank you
I had to meet a $6000 Spend for the Chase Bus Ink Cash Card. Paypal let me use that Visa in Dec 2022 to pay my Utilities bills in full for the whole year. Now I hope you not saying Paypal blocked that capability recently-I’m going to be beyond upset😡
I didn't know you could pay with a credit card. Never tried though.
I was able to buy a money order with a vanilla debit gift card at the post office. . however, i tried to buy another money order with a different debit gift card but the clerk said it was coming up under a credit card and was rejected. i'll have to try at walmart. anyone else experience anything like this ?
It's been awhile since I've tried. As a whole it's getting harder to do the money order gift card thing. I wouldn't be surprised if the bank simply doesn't want to be bothered with it
Have done this several times. Even found some Visa and MasterCard gift cards work for this strategy . Have purchased gift cards getting 5% rotating category and then use that gift card to pay credit card.
Interesting. I've tried to load in Visa reloads. It'll take them but not process any transactions off of them. Even if I register the GC in my name
I used my coinbase debit card to double dip on reward points but eventually coinbase blocked my card. Don't know if it still works for any new card holders.
Yep, it's always a game of trying to stay ahead before the banks shut things down. Cat and mouse if you will
One bank account I've had for several years has 3% cash back on $500 in spend each month. They are a smaller bank and have not restricted peer to peer platforms. I basically transfer $500 to my cash app and transfer it back each month for an easy $15 a month. Takes less than a minute of my time each month.
Please share which bank?
Do tell
The people want to know this mystery bank
I can't comment on that specific account however, there are various banks and credit unions which offer Kasasa Cash Back accounts. Two of which earn 4% on up to $250 are Union Square and Pelican. They generally have a 12-15 monthly debit transaction and direct deposit requirement. The transaction requirement is easy to meet using a 1 cent PayPal subscription.
Oh that is with one called First Utah Bank
Any problems or setbacks paying Chase credit cards this way?
Chase doesn't care as long as they get their money. It's more so the bank that's getting pinged to send the money. I don't think they care either, just have to watch the debit cards if your looking for cash back. Banks are quickly closing this off as a way to earn points
I had the thought to use my Amex business debit card to get 1MR for every $2 spent. Called customer service and they said Paypal Bill Pay isn't an eligible transaction. Looking for some other debit cards that pay rewards to double-dip when paying credit card bills.
Haha ole Amex... we're losing cards that work weekly it seems.
Hey there, did you find any?
Does PayPal have a bonus attached, is it the reason you showed us?
No bonus. The video is aimed at giving folks a tool to make hitting bonuses easier.
@@RunonTheBank Thank you
Does the discover debit card still work for this? I have the upgrade and like you said it doesn’t work anymore
Discover caps rewards to $25 per month though.
Discover no longer works
@@rigsb8127 do you know of one that works?
Nah, the blocked it awhile back. There's a few comments here with a list of cards that still work
Based RJ
This comment is not based
Not a glitch. PayPal does this intentionally and their terms say they can do it ha 😂 I always unlink all checking accounts and only have one debit card linked at a time and that solves the problem
Generally I have seen that if you have multiple transactions with the same amount to the same credit card , some of them are flagged as duplicate transactions. And these duplicate transactions are debited from your alternate payment method which generally will be your checking account
Of course... feel like they could really mess up someone's finances who didn't know that change was going to happen
I did this a few days ago, great way to " kill two birds with one stone."
It saved me on Mercury and Winden for sure.
Barclays is really slow, like 5-7 days for payment to post. I have some Amex bus cards that I added like a year ago and am able to pay but can’t add any new Amex bus cards
Amazon electronic gift cards has a $1 minimum.
Everytime I say $1, I get people telling me its .50 cent minimum or something like that. I thought it use to be but there was a run where Amazon would get mad and shut you down over it
@@RunonTheBank they haven't shut me down for it yet. Next time you buy, try it for 50 cents
Dog this community if fn awesome man 😂😂😂.
Fun part is somebody usually has the answers you seek
