Great reaction..... you'll see a lot variety in their songs, together with that their lyrics have meaning. As you are told surely their album Queen of the Murder Scene is a conceptual album best to listen to sleeve to sleeve in order. Starting with Dust to Dust from Lunario CDMX 2018 on thier UA-cam channel, I even this they have a playlist for it in order.
Now you should see the new version, the one for the Blacklist Album, making it their own and for Alessia Cara, since it was a collaboration, so they made the new arrangement with Alessia’s style on their minds, so they divided the cover in three sections: the first one to fit Alessia’s pop/R&B style, the second for their own and the finale as a tribute to the original one. About how good they were at that age: you should see them playing songs like Hysteria from Muse, and Ale not missing a single note from a bass line that would be hard for many bass players.
This was where my journey with them started, I’ve followed them ever since and it’s been an absolute joy to watch them grow up to where they are today! The biggest thing that has always attracted me to them is their humility and love and respect for their fanbase, it was us who supported them by crowdfunding their music, they have always kept us in their lives and had regular live streams with us. The other thing which is even more important is that they get their audience by their talents in performing and songwriting not by their appearances, they are all attractive females but they don’t flaunt it like so many others do! I’m sure that you’ll enjoy catching up on what you’ve been missing, it’s an interesting and pleasurable journey!
Yes, this is the video that went viral. They were 14, 12, and 9. Ale's bass here is a 3/4 scale, and it's still bigger than she was. They posted this for family and friends, went on vacation, and it blew up while they were gone. Metallica saw it too, with Kirk saying that the drummer kicks maximum a$$. When Metallica was putting together their Blacklist album, Black album songs covered by many artists for the album's 30th anniversary, they invited Canadian Alessia Cara to contribute a song. She and The Warning have some connection in management, so they collaborated and rearranged the song. They only had 10 days to do it(7 days of recording time). Check out the music video and/or The Warning's live version at Teatro Metropolitan 2022.
Daniela, Paulina y Alejandra have a formidable innate talent, each one of them. Innate but with practice taken to the sublime. Despite their youth, they already have a lot of experience along the way in addition to their great preparation since they were little. Their attitude, discipline and willingness to achieve their goals are leading them to great and well-deserved achievements. Dany, Pau & Ale are still on the path to the top, but with too much potential, enough to think that reaching it will be inevitable. Furthermore, the volume of quality that each of their creations implies is great… and the number of songs that carry said quality is enormous, which for me could be “The Warning label.” I’m sure that each of their creations is subjected to a meticulous quality process before finally seeing the light… And not only in the technical aspect, but they have also already shown that they have an exquisite taste for the good music that emanates from them when they become inspired and creative. Added to all this is that they are surrounded by an excellent family and a fraternal team totally committed to their project... And they have a fan base, “The Warning Army”, tremendously loyal to them that is decisively involved in supporting them because they have deservedly earned it for being incredible and surprising human beings. Knowing this will give you a much better perspective to better value DPA, and maybe you will understand that TW is not just a band of talented young women who make good songs... No, it’s about music, really about art with the brilliance of a "masterpiece" created and performed by three genius female performers from an early age who have been developing and evolving by leaps and bounds. The beauty of his art lies in its simplicity. Allways everybody have to appreciate each of these amazing rock masterpieces in all their dimensions and then be surprised again that they are creations of those who have wonderful talent but who, due to their age, still have much more talent to develop. DPA are already admirable but their potential increases exponentially as they achieve success. As long as all this continues to flow with this equation, soon they will reach the top of the world where they deserve to be. I hope to see many reactions from you to TW my favorite band of all time. Thanks and regards!! 🤘😁✌️
This was my Warning. YT recommended it and I thought "what can these little girls do with Metallica?!". So I clicked on it and they showed me. BTW, your sound is great on this one.
You nailed it! :) Definitely more than promising, even at that age. I was actually most impressed by 9-year-old Ale. She kept the song going during the guitar solo and played the bass line just right from what I could tell. My son-in-law texted me the link to this in summer 2022 and it's what led me down this rabbit hole. I immediately bought all 3 digital albums in iTunes, and now there's rarely a day that goes by that I don't watch them on UA-cam, either reactions or re-watching live stuff I've seen many times already. Stoked to see what 2024 brings! PS - sound was perfect this time.
Now you need to hear their own take on the song, either on the official video or the one at Teatro Metropolitan, you'll be amazed at their growth as musicians.
Dany worked on her James-face as much as the song (more than if you ask her sisters). It its paid off in spades. Their expressiveness elevates everything they do to the next level. Check out the Lunario show for a prime example. & Oh yea, Pau’s been a monster drummer since she was like 9. Gene Krupa would be proud.
They are so family oriented. They don't cuss, smoke, do drugs and although 2 are old enough to drink, they prefer to drink mango juice or something naturally refreshing, They love video games and are hysterically funny when they are playing. Dany is the most open and relatable, while Pau is extremely talkative, but more serious, but with a hilarious laugh that at times you can't even hear and Ale is more reserved but has a very distinctive laugh and gets angrier faster than all of them while playing, especially against Dany.
They did this in one take. No dubbing or laying over of multiple tracks. This was uploaded on YT for their family and friends, not the general YT audience. After this video gained so much attention, they decided to try, as an experiment to write their own music. The result was their EP, Escape the Mind. At this time they have only been playing together for 2 years. Alejandra has only been playing bass 2 years while Paulina (drummer) and Daniela (guitarist) for about 6 years. This is just one cover they recorded at this age. There are several more. Be sure to check their rearrangement of ES for the Metallica Blacklist charity album in collaboration with Alessia Cara from September 2021. This is the link to the official music video ua-cam.com/video/9tKQgesCcTc/v-deo.htmlsi=6w0ASNABzmclO38m I suggest the music video as you get to hear all the nuances you don't don't hear in the live performance. And it is a beautiful video and they put a lot of time and effort into producing it when they didn't have to.
That was pretty impressive. Im always happy to see kids doing something like this. Keeps them out of trouble. Plus its good to see the newer generation still listens to Metallica. Those guys are gonna be doing concerts in nursing homes lol.
Those girls toured with Muse around Europe last year, and America & Canada with Lzzy Hale, The Pretty Reckless and Guns n Roses, and more - no nursing homes for them! A couple of years after this they were performing in the Whiskey a gogo, plus many other top venues in Mexico and America.
Hey Rob,you seemed to really enjoy that one! Based on your reaction to Disciple and since you went back to the beginning, may I suggest a path down the rabbit hole that may work best for you for maximum enjoyment. There are 3 main shows that correspond to each of their 3 albums. Go back to Dakota Bar 2018 where they play all the songs from their first album. Do all or pick select songs if you prefer. They have more of an old school sound here.(don't let the butterfly on Dany's shirt fool you. They are some BADASS teenagers here!) Next, the Lunario 2018 show where they do all The Quuen of the Murder Scene concept album. I suggest these in order because of the story. Then more of the Teatro Metropolitan 2022 show with the more modern sounding songs. I would steer you wrong lol. This will give you a full summary of how they are musically. Then do some of the suggested documentaries in between to get a full picture of how these incredible ladies are as people. Good luck my friend.
Thank you I always enjoy watching this video they were so intense and only took 1 take. This was for their grandparents and was too big for email lucky for us we have this history to see the beginning. cheers man. 🤘⚡🔥
The cumulative total of this video is over 70 million worldwide and was officially "Liked" by the members of Metallica themselves. There are tens of millions of people who "play guitar", but at 14, Dany had the "feel" for it. Same with Pau on the drums. Little Ale on the bass had only been playing for a couple of years but she was so in the pocket. If anyone had doubts about destiny then their story should make anyone rethink that.
for a trio, much less a young trio, this is fantastic! slightly different but a full wall of sound filled with raw power and grit... the child's prayer with Pau and Ale is beautiful and takes me back to my own youth and bedtimes with one of my parents coaching me along... the power of Pau on the drums, Ale's driving bass line, and Dany rocking out with her James Hetfield scowl are... whoa! then you think who needs two guitars when you have one Dany? 😹 also, i'll note that the wall behind the camera is a full mirror so all the girls can see themselves playing... this was done so they could work on their stage presence... the wall on Ale's (bass) side also has a window into the equipment side of their studio known as "The Warning Cave" or "The Cave" for short... TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Happy you “get” The Warning. I’m sure others have commented but be certain check out their Sandman version they did for Metallica’s Black List album. But preferably their live performance at Teatro Metropolitan
Ale (Alejandra) 🎸🎤+ Pau (Paulina) 🥁🎤+ Dany (Daniela) 🎤🎸 Villarreal. Three talented Mexican sisters. !!!🎵ole ole ole oleeee Warning Warning🎵¡¡¡. Greetings from Argentina.
Ya gotta listen to them play this song now. This is cute and obviously a cool thing to see them so young killing it, but honestly, their current arrangement, voices, and playing is just so badass, you won't be saying, "that's cute." 😊
Dany had insane guitar skills even at 14. When she wants to shred she will tear it up on the guitar. For a follow up check out their re imagining of Enter Sandman from 2022. ua-cam.com/video/vg9vNE7gm0I/v-deo.html In 2021, Metallica asked other bands and artists to re imagine songs from the Black Album to released The Blackest List for the 30th anniversary of the Black Album. I am so enjoying following along with your journey into my favorite band, The Warning!
LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS!
At 9, 12 and 14 they became the worlds youngest astronauts as their careers blasted into orbit with this video!
Even at this young age, Pau was beating the drums like they owe her money.
Animal in the making!
Your smile throughout the video tells me all I need to know! You've been WARNED!
Long Live DPA, The Warning
🤟⚡️🫶
Their new version of Enter Sandman is astonishing, for writings and rearrangement on their own! Let's check it!
You say it right, Rob, Dany was practicing her angry face to get it right in the video.
only two years later you must see the stunning progress in their covcer of The Pretender (Foo Fighters). It's awesome... incredible!!!

At 14 Dany is probably the same height she is today. But Ale being so small makes her look 6 feet tall. 😂
