I think the lady at EMA that informed you that it's was illegal to film an airfield, was probably recently promoted, and is suffering from a power trip. As far as I am aware, it's only illegal to film or take pics in and around security. It's always a great flight when you can fly through that rainy Nimbostratus into sunshine.
Imagine how many arrests would be made if it was illegal to film the airfield - does she extend that denial to people planespotting outside the airport and filming? You give some jobsworths a hi-vis vest and they think they are next in line to the throne. I love to fly with JET2 but quite a bit of the food on the menu looked awful and if you think it will have been photographed to look at its best..................... You should have hired a car - have a 2 day "fix" of the joys of petrol/diesel motoring lol

I always video take off and landing to :) no one has said anything to me about it :) i find your videos from east mids helpful as i havent been from there since october 2018 and its changed loads since i last went, esp when u exit duty free :) i am off to alicante on 27th april from east mids for 8 days in benidorm :)
If it was ‘illegal’ to film or photograph at an airport, why does Manchester Airport the owners of EMA provide raised platforms for you to take photographs and film at Manchester? Someone interpreting their own rules. It is different for commercial filming and photography and that is just about making sure you have public liability insurance and will not interrupt the normal going’s on at the airport. EMA provide an email of who to contact for permission. The only place transport wise I have come across that does not allow the public to photograph is Tyne & Wear Metro.

Interpretation of "Pizza twist" on the airline menu (an item previously unknown to mankind): They only spread the filling material in the center of the pizza dough, and then tuck in the sides. Therefore it probably costs them about 30% less in ingredients than a proper mini-pizza of the same relative size.
Glad to see you back in Tenerife I love the Island, I was there in September & went to see Daniel who got Kim to sort out Parascending for me which was a great experience. Also went to see Lorraine at Palms & I mentioned your name she then charged me double for my Fish n Chips (only joking). I am definitely going back next year. 😀
I dont buy anything on the plane Lee. Got ripped off easyjet, used my card to buy a drink. Three days later checked my bank. 2 payments, 2 extra two just eats in Luton, while in lanzarote, you work it out, my drinks came off OK but two just eats. Cancelled my card got my money back. No card for 11 days, hmm Enjoy two days 👍
The photography issue comes down to common sense on both sides. You can film anything in a 'public' place but an airport is usually privately owned so they can insist on restricting filming to only those who have been given permission. Filming or photographing operational areas isn't illegal in itself but might get you challenged under the Terrorism Act which could cost you time and potentially a missed flight proving you have honest intentions, but I haven't heard of this happening. Most airlines are OK with filming on board so long as others aren't captured in the footage. Simple answer is to just say you are Sam Chui in disguise and then you can film anything you want....and likely will get an upgrade!

If you want to get through passport control early in Tenerife get the first flight out. We landed just after 10.30 am, had our fingerprints scanned, passports Stamped, collected our bags and was in a taxi by 11.15am. We might have got lucky but that’s the fastest we have ever got through.

Why oh why don't more people make (or buy from a much cheaper place outside the airport) a sandwich and bring it with them to the airport?! And crisps etc! Yes, there is now restrictions on food products being brought into the EU, but as long as you eat them on the plane before you land, you're fine!!! I don't believe there are any restrictions to filming airfields, however some airports may have bylaws in place, but I haven't heard of any. What a.... yeh ends in b 😆 Mad to see those planes going past, very lucky! Looked a smooth landing too! The guy on the airport bus didn't look amused! 😆 It is unseasonably hot at the moment in the islands. For easier electric, use any card/business card etc for the electric card switch thingy and then you don't have to keep putting it in and taking it out 😉 The queue length and time will be vastly reduced once the new ETIAS system comes in next year, until then, many airports aren't bothered by it with regards to stamping etc. Lanzarote has recently (within the last year I believe) upgraded from none, to mostly all gates being electronic, so they seem to be ahead of Tenerife from what you're saying as before they did, the queue were longer in Lanzarote aswell. You can alter the time the light is on for on the back of it 😆 Bet it's good to be back in the UK after that heat! 😂
In terms of getting your passport STAMPED in the old fashioned way - I have heard of people who have NOT had their passports stamped both ways in the Spanish area particularly - of being accused and even being REFUSED entry on the basis that 'on paper' they have overstayed with one or both stamps missing. I'm guessing the EXIT stamp is more important than the entry as when that is missing it is the cause of the trigger of the alleged overstay. The Jet2 women in the airport is talking rubbish about filming. There are live streams almost every day from most of the main airports in the UK showing airfield activity. Jet2 have introduced Starbucks coffee which i thought was great until I tasted it. Its basically a sachet containing dried milk and coffee and its disgusting. I like Jet2 but they need to up there game on the catering front. I see you swerved the hotel transfer bus this time mate👍.

Lack of sandwiches airside shops ema answer they are delivered airside and come through vehicle check point .around ** am and get delivered after the first wave of departures due to congestion at the road check point.. the delivery drivers dont start early in the morning

We always take some food on with us incase meal deal isn't available before departure. Buy on board for us is just too over priced. Good the journey went well and we predicted Sol Tenerife 😀

ive been in a plane over france with another coming within a few hundred feet of us. It flew at us, and then went about 500 ft above us. It was way closer than this video. I thought we were toast. Completely illegal and no investigation either. But more importantly, get the full english going in Tenerife asap.

If you want to get through passport control early in Tenerife get the first flight out. We landed just after 10.30 am, had our fingerprints scanned, passports Stamped, collected our bags and was in a taxi by 11.15am. We might have got lucky but that’s the fastest we have ever got through.

Why oh why don't more people make (or buy from a much cheaper place outside the airport) a sandwich and bring it with them to the airport?! And crisps etc! Yes, there is now restrictions on food products being brought into the EU, but as long as you eat them on the plane before you land, you're fine!!! I don't believe there are any restrictions to filming airfields, however some airports may have bylaws in place, but I haven't heard of any. What a.... yeh ends in b 😆 Mad to see those planes going past, very lucky! Looked a smooth landing too! The guy on the airport bus didn't look amused! 😆 It is unseasonably hot at the moment in the islands. For easier electric, use any card/business card etc for the electric card switch thingy and then you don't have to keep putting it in and taking it out 😉 The queue length and time will be vastly reduced once the new ETIAS system comes in next year, until then, many airports aren't bothered by it with regards to stamping etc. Lanzarote has recently (within the last year I believe) upgraded from none, to mostly all gates being electronic, so they seem to be ahead of Tenerife from what you're saying as before they did, the queue were longer in Lanzarote aswell. You can alter the time the light is on for on the back of it 😆 Bet it's good to be back in the UK after that heat! 😂
In terms of getting your passport STAMPED in the old fashioned way - I have heard of people who have NOT had their passports stamped both ways in the Spanish area particularly - of being accused and even being REFUSED entry on the basis that 'on paper' they have overstayed with one or both stamps missing. I'm guessing the EXIT stamp is more important than the entry as when that is missing it is the cause of the trigger of the alleged overstay. The Jet2 women in the airport is talking rubbish about filming. There are live streams almost every day from most of the main airports in the UK showing airfield activity.
Jet2 have introduced Starbucks coffee which i thought was great until I tasted it. Its basically a sachet containing dried milk and coffee and its disgusting. I like Jet2 but they need to up there game on the catering front.

Disaster deffo averted you didnt fly RYANAIR 🤣(my personal opinion only 🤫) , perhaps east midlands hasnt paid there TAX bill and trying to hide the airport thats why you cant film it 🤪

Hey Lee! This just doing the gag reels are the best medicine. Sensor lights are a pain and you look like an idiot trying to keep them on. I’ll say again the shots out the plane window are stunning. Looks like you had troubles at either airports. No sandwiches at East Midlands out and big queues going in to Tenerife. Hope all is a bit better going home. Lack of sandwiches airside shops ema answer they are delivered airside and come through vehicle check point .around ** am and get delivered after the first wave of departures due to congestion at the road check point.. the delivery drivers dont start early in the morning

We always take some food on with us incase meal deal isn't available before departure. Buy on board for us is just too over priced. Good the journey went well and we predicted Sol Tenerife 😀

ive been in a plane over france with another coming within a few hundred feet of us. It flew at us, and then went about 500 ft above us. It was way closer than this video. I thought we were toast. Completely illegal and no investigation either. But more importantly, get the full english going in Tenerife asap.
