The 2% that actually knew it was mail must have been laughing their asses off
You had one job audience.
I bet the 2% were like, "WHAT THE HECK?"
I feel sorry for him, he's all smiling happy even if he horribly lost...
Considering HMS stands for Her Majesty's Ship, it is only natural that most people would have thought RMS to be Royal Monarch's Ship.
When people hear "mail", they think about the post office. They think about a pile of letters. Of course they'd pick something fancy sounding like monarch.
Who else thought it was B too? lol
"i would like to AXE the audience"
It was very classy of him to tell her she was lovely in person instead of pouting over his loss. Good on you, sir!
Now THAT's being a good sport.
I actually thought most people knew it was "mail."
Royal Mail Ship
Very interesting that the second highest percentage (5%) was also wrong. The correct answer was 2% tied to the other last wrong answer.
To be honest, I thought it was Monarch also, considering the Titanic was a British ship
the audience FAILED big time on that one LMAO
that should NOT be a $10k question haha
damn shame too seems like a chill dude
Royal Mail Ship (sometimes Steam-ship or Steamer), usually seen in its abbreviated form RMS, a designation which dates back to 1840, is the ship prefix used for seagoing vessels that carry mail under contract by Royal Mail.
Thanks wikipedia.
i cant believe its actually mail :o
Oh no... I feel so bad for him. He seemed like such a nice guy.
Never ask the audience questions that aren't about celebrity gossip or reality shows.
Props to this guy for smiling and not acting like an asshole like some other people would.
LMFAO Royal "Monarch" Ship? Kinda Redundant no? Like saying Army Military Ship
It's amazing the amount of information they conceal in books. People should have a look now and again.
I wish I could hear the thoughts going through meredith's mind when she saw the results from the audience.
i thought it was mail from the start
Then again, the Titanic never reached the United States, so of course they don't know :P
I love how the audience smiles afterwards. XD
royal mail ship. It was the very first largest ship made for the atlantic ocean. Reason it was given the name for that was to find a way to transport mail over oceans. Before it was done with smaller ships and very few of them so the time a letter got over to someone in another country it took way to long. Titanic was made to solve those problems. The people who where abored the ship wanted to ride the first largest ship and paied well for it. Look where it Got them :)
Yeah I was confused with HMS...
The 2% who got it right must have seen this coming, and be in shock when they saw the results.
That question got me too, because for years I always thought the M stood for "Majesty."
That's the first time I've seen that happen on this show! Lmfao!
that awkward moment when you thought that was the answer too
What a polite man. I'd have been piiiiiiissed.
For a second i thought C was the awnser xD
I hate it when people just click something, when they don't know the exact answer :/
GOD DAMNIT!!!! No matter what I search, how come I always wind up watching millionare
i love how 2% thought it was mail lol
This crowd makes Ken Basin's audience look like members of MENSA.
LOL at the girl's face on the right after the answer was revealed
HAHAHA!!!!!!!!! I thought it was Monarch myself, but still, I wasn't there! Mail?! WTF!!!
I paused the video to see if I could get it right and I did! :) I guessed mail because the titanic was transporting a lot of stuff to go in a museum on the trip.
HAH! I KNEW it had to be mail!!!!
his face in the thumbnail is priceless
YES, the titanic WAS a mail ship !!!
They only forgot to read the mail : " Iceberg right ahead ..."
At first I was like "MAIL!? REALLY!?" now I'm like oh yeah of course! When it sank most of the first rooms to get flooded where the mail rooms. Remember it from a documentary.
"That is the kind of percent I like."
Not anymore you don't lol
The audience in the old millionaire were usually pretty smart but now it's just ridiculous. I think they fill the audience in this new version with half-smart people or a mixture of smart and really clueless people just so you can't rely on the "Ask the audience" lifeline so much anymore.
I see knowing it was Mail was a rare one .-. granted I didn't casually know it, was a research project not too long ago.
He sounds like he says "axe the audience"; pretty hilarious in hindsight.
I knew it! first time i ever got a question right on a gameshow
very accepting of defeat more people like this guy needed in the world
I knew it, but I've done a lot of reading about Titanic. That ship was hauling a ton of mail.
91% of the audience should've sank with the Titanic.
I wonder if there's any occasion in which all 4 answers receive 25% votes by the audience. That'd be an even bigger fail than this LOL
Completely out of context, I'd love to have that man's voice :D
the guy was at least cool about it...props to him haha
I guessed Monarch aswell.. who the hell implements Mail into a cruise vessel? oh well..
LMFAO ...i also thought "monarch"...im so smart
saw this for the first time..and guess what! I too thought it was B.....
The 91% went from feeling like, haha, arent we smart guys!!^^ to embarrassed glances.. While 2%'s like suck it.
Blows your MIND?!?! lol
Dude i would have flipped the fuck out. props to that dude having a heart of gold
Most of the people were probably thinking "Gee I don't fucking know. I'll just vote Monarch cause it sounds cool. I'm sure the majority will get it right." lol
...and the audience still applause afterwards
"And you have my axe!"
91% did not know the answer and probably wanted to indicate that they really did not know it by chosing the stupidest option...
Monarch was the first thing that came to my mind.
Lol, I thought most people knew Titanic was a mail ship? Clearly not!
everyone just went for the word they didnt know
Its harsh but i laughed so damn hard xD
If I was ever on this show, I wouldn't ask the audience because they usually guess and they're stupid.
Guy in black suit: "Excuse me sir, we see that you have NOT selected an answer. We're going to have to take you to the basement and fix this problem."
Guy who didn't know: "Wait.. what? No.. no nooo!!!!!"
In them days it stood for Royal Mail Steamer or Royal Mail Ship. In today's world it means Royal Mail Ship (since we don't have any steamers any-more :) ) Hope this helps
Damn, I thought it was Monarch as well lol
it takes a real man to lose in millionare by the hands of the audience and smile afterwards
I bet the 2% felt so smug, haha
I would run away and go on holiday if I was part of that audience.
I knew this one, looks like i'm smarter than 98% of the audience
Man the bass on this video is intense.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I KNEW IT HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Even I got it wrong, and I was on the Titanic. I suppose that explains why Postman Pat was driving.
I can't believe he didn't freak out!
if i was part of that 2%, i'd be so proud of myself.
My gut was "majesty" too, but I saw the choices and thought right away The Titanic was carryint a lot of mail.
LOL, Audience are dead wrong!
how did i get here>!?!?!?!
0:27 he would like to "axe" the audience lol
man even i thought it was monarch
Why would he be pissed off at the audience? He didn't know the fucking answer either.
I thought it was Royal Majesty's Ship
1:03 - look at the girl on the right LMAO
He handled it so well too...
hahahahahahaa hohohohohhohoho hehehehehe aha aha aha haaaa.... lol that was funnny :)
He took it like a champ.
i was thinking the same answer, damn. But from the name of this vid i knew it couldnt be monarchy
"It could have been worse! It could have been worse." Really? What's worse than getting a 91% vote for the wrong answer?
no wonder royal mail take so damm long to deliver something :P
Dude's pissed yo
The audience should only vote if they know it, they shouldn't guess.
I wasnt aware "axe the audience" was a lifeline o.O
He's such a nice guy as well....
