This is a great video to explain things to do in Hakone. I was just given a project brief with Hakone Tourism Board to create an official guide to this area and so I came across your guide by chance to see what other content creators have done and it's inspirational to see people out here having fun and it also gives me an idea of what to expect and how to approach different areas from a different angle! I appreciate your skills in content creating so keep doing you!
@@Reformatt I am pretty much a geek, so discovering that there is an Evangelion Store in Hakone makes the whole trip worthy for me XD However, overall is a great video, very cool stuff to do in Hakone ( Ryokan food experience, onsen, the open air museum, even that quirky cafe you went!). I have seen other Hakone video but this one is my fave as I quite liked all the things you did :)
If you travel in a group of 3 or more, you should consider renting a car for convenience. Renting a compact car for 24 hours came out to be around 130 dollars(car, gas, toll). Divide that among ur friends and its not so bad and you won't have to wait for buses. Of course u need an international permit which u can easily get at ur local AAA insurance (15-20 dollars with docs). Just remember to hug the left turns and make wide right turns (for people in the states).

Does the Tozan train zig zag a lot? Bit worried about motion sickness for some of our group members!
It wasn't too bad from what I remember, it was a comfortable ride up. However, the trains can get very crowded.
Thank you!!

Joro spiders are not as poisonous as a Black Widow..the poison can at best make you feel sick. Nothing more😅
