A franchise would be close to a billion USD and salary cap is 84 million I believe. Quebec can't pay that. It's sad but I often speak to co-workers in Quebec and most of them have completely disconnected from the hockey. Even with the AVS being in the final, they don't watch the game. I'm not saying all Quebec people are not watching the game but it's been a long time since the Nordique left. Can they pay and sell seasons ticket at a value so high? I don't think so.
