Jamie fell for reverse psychology... Ted's all like "you just want to score goals" and Jamie switches that around with a different version of himself 💝
I think the opening of the shops etc. is a parody of "You've Got Mail" (the opening of that movie has them walking to work to that Cranberries song (Dreams) that plays at the beginning).
EJ got the LeBron quote exactly right. Also, the anti-immigration politician quotes are almost verbatim from a current British politician named Suella Braverman.
Yea ig I forgot ab the LeBron situation glad he picked up on it lol and oh actually? Jeez Im gonna check out Braverman, those quotes were a bit disturbing
I am REALLY hoping that Nate and Jade's relationship strengthens quickly because I NEED him to come to her defense with Rupert. I just know he's going to look down on the fact that Nate's not with some 'affluent' woman and it would be fantastic to see Nate stick to his guns with her. Romance is much needed in his life and it would be so sweet 😭
The music they play while Beard is teaching the team about Total Football and while they're passing the water bottle around the training room is from Victory (or Escape to Victory), which is a football movie from the early 80s about an Allied POW team playing a German team during WWII. Loved that movie when I was a kid. Brendan Hunt is my age and has talked about being a fan of that movie in interviews. If you haven't seen it, you should check it out. You guys are killing it with the Ted Lasso reactions. Best ones on here.
Sams dad pinches his ears in the locker room and in S1 Sam tells Ted that his dad pinches his ears for good luck. 😭😭😭 this show man. The details 😭 Great reaction!
The way the show has written Jamie's development from egocentric prick to team player and then leader has been *chef's kiss* perfect. Also, Sam debating a bigot politician seems like something a publicist should be dealing with in order to protect him and the team. Why is the show concentrating in Keeley's personal life instead of her building her business? I am waiting to see where this storyline goes.
I agree Jamie's arc may be my favorite in the show, but when I see szn 1 Rebecca compared to now then shes my favorite, then Nate to now and so on hahaha these writers are amazing. Yea we haven't really gotten much of Bantr at all, and yea ig maybe Sam doesnt have one
@J N maybe I explained myself incorrectly: I am saying the series should show Keeley dealing with a situation like what Sam is going through from the standpoint of a publicist. She’s, after all, new at being a boss and it would have been awesome to see her deal with the twitter war for example. I am not saying all the series does is show her personal life but it sure feels like a wasted opportunity for her development. I suppose it’s a wait and see to find out what the writers have in store for her.
So many points in this episode that are so funny! I was waiting for your reaction for this episode! Roy being giggly and sniggering was so funny! GOT Alum! The King of Qarth in the house! GOT reunion even though he and Hannah never had scenes together. Ola’s reaction to seeing the name of the restaurant was so sweet! He also reminded me of Ted. Ted seeing a father-son relationship that works even though they are long distance is good for him. Also him checking if Sam was ok, is a callback to the last time a father came to the locker room had a very bad thing. The parallel of Jamie seeing Sam’s relationship with his Dad, when Sam saw Jamie’s relationship with his Dad in Season2. Sam telling his Dad abt his relationship with Rebecca is a show of how open they are to each other. Roy saying all those puns!!! The player that did the hat trick was played by Chip Hamilton, Jason’s assistant and an AD in the show Ted wearing red and Rebecca wearing red, Rebecca wearing a knot ring for a second episode!
Patricia Marcaida Roy being giggly at putting the health of the players at risk and humiliating them was worse than Rupert hurting people only by mean words.
I loved the strings scene haha, yes he was in GOT! Such a cool reunion even though yea they never had scenes. I didn't even think about Ted seeing their relationship being so strong in the sense of long distance, love that! Cool fact about Hamilton, how do I get that job. they better get together those two!! Thanks for another awesome comment!
I think Jack outing her relationship with Keeley in front of everyone was a little too "I make the decisions, I know what's best for you." Keeley wanted to hide, maybe respect that? hmmm
Hmm yea good point, maybe keeley was being a bit selfless saying she wanted to hide it because she didn’t know how serious Jack was about it, but maybe Keeley is the one who is second-guessing. Not sure!
Jack admitted to being very jealous. I don’t see Keeley being ok with that. However it will be awkward if she breaks it off with Jack since Jack is her financier.
Yeaaa thatll be a problem, im waiting for the catalyst for a cool friendship between Keeley and Barb maybe that would be it, cuz barb is the CFO? as well
I wonder if Jack hasn’t done this before. Maybe that’s why the employees at keeley’s company have all worked together before. If this is the case, I hope Barb decides she’s sick of moving around and forces Jack to leave keeley’s company alone and then all the employees finally start loosening up and bonding.
love the content boys, i just watched your reactions to seaens 1&2 .. your love & Knowlegde for the world game (football) & of couse "Ted Lasso" has made my watching your reactions very very enjoyable. keep uo the good work Lads .. oh, one more thing .... Nate is Back!!
Thanks for the kind words man! U going back and watching those seasons means a lot, I appreciate it man happy u enjoy them. Yea Ik this show isn’t really about football but it just enhances it even more for me. Yessir Nate is back!!
Saw this on Twitter so my apologies if it's just all bunk. What if this season is Sense and Sensibilities? Rebecca (who is wearing a rope?lasso ring) is the older more emotionally reserved lady who conceals her emotions but desperately wants love. Keely is the hopeless romantic who enters into a whirlwind romance with a rich attractive partner. After a public scandal they break up. Eventually the hopeless romantic realizes that the grumpy old man (Roy!) who's been looking out for her is the one for her.
Whats really interesting is if you watch the start of the team in sync in the locker room, Jamie and Cowburn are out of sync which foreshadows how the game goes before halftime
@J N Why? Good question. Because in spite of all the nasty things he's done and said, I still found myself rooting for him when he was pursuing Jade. I despised him for the way he treated those he deemed beneath him and how he was being used as a puppet by Rupert, but I've seen glimpses of redemption ever since he was abandoned and humbled by the supermodel. He has not shown any disrepect to anybody since then and has reverted to his sheepish-awkward persona and I think Jade will bring the best out of him.
Will as Coach Beard is amazing LOL!
I loved it hahaha he killed it tbf
He killed it as coach beard!
“God, I hate what you’ve fucking done to me.” I never laughed so hard in my life.
Hahaha i loved that part, thats just what Ted does!
Jamie fell for reverse psychology... Ted's all like "you just want to score goals" and Jamie switches that around with a different version of himself 💝
Yes ur right! Forgot about that little moment when he got his own name in the exericse
i don't think ted thought that far ahead at all. he just saw jamie as the forward and didn't think ball should go through him. that was all him
I think the opening of the shops etc. is a parody of "You've Got Mail" (the opening of that movie has them walking to work to that Cranberries song (Dreams) that plays at the beginning).
I think “Love is Love” was a line from Wedding Planner.
Ah gotcha! Classic Ted Lasso referencing films, cool!
EJ got the LeBron quote exactly right. Also, the anti-immigration politician quotes are almost verbatim from a current British politician named Suella Braverman.

The actor who plays Sam’s dad also played Xaro Daxos on Game of Thrones
I KNEW HE LOOKED FAMILIAR
Thank You!! geez it was buggin me. I settled on, Probably seen him in a lot of things. But you're right GoT was it.
Sam's dad dropping knowledge on us all. "Do you really want to make them angry?"
Facts! “Don’t fight back fight forward” is genuinely going to stick with me 😂
@J N hahaha same
I am REALLY hoping that Nate and Jade's relationship strengthens quickly because I NEED him to come to her defense with Rupert. Yessss please give me the scene you described haha come on Nate!
THIS^^^ We need that scene to happen!!

Oh man thats awesome! Had no idea, I want to check it out it sounds fascinating. Thanks for the kind words man, we love making them for y'all!
That's the music from the Great Escape. The explanation of Total Football has music from Escape to Victory.
@@ItzWilson2 The movie is starred by Pelé (yes, the king himself) and Stallone. It is silly, but cool. :D

Ahhh that’s great! The callbacks and detail is soooo good!!

I wonder how many cups of hot tea, Higgins spilled on himself in the series… 😂

I don't know if someone's already commented this, but the shop openings is a nod to the romcom You've got mail! ❤
Thanks, wouldn't get the reference.
I need to see more movies 😂 you guys catch all these references that go right over my head. Thank u!
Until I read this I had no idea what it was referencing, W comment!

I think the scenes of shops opening for the day just mark the passage of days as they prepare to debut Total Football against Arsenal.
Yea probably as simple as that, apparently it was a reference to movie maybe but who knows!
Jack admitted to being very jealous. I don’t see Keeley being ok with that. However it will be awkward if she breaks it off with Jack since Jack is her financier.
Yeaaa thatll be a problem, im waiting for the catalyst for a cool friendship between Keeley and Barb maybe that would be it, cuz barb is the CFO? as well

Haha yea they got their payback today for beating Richmond

The last 2 episodes have been amazing.
