    Remembering season one when talking about Roy Ted told Bear "He thinks he's mad now, wait until we win him over," and Beard responded, "He'll be furious."
    Cut to season three:
    Ted: Coach Beard and I would've looked like a ZZ Top cover band.
    Roy: Would've been called Sharped Dressed Men.
    Ted: Ooh nice!
    Roy: I fuckin' hate what you've done to me.

    I think HIggins spent so long being the lackey to Rupert that he always assumed it should be his role - and at the start of the show, Rebecca was treating him the same. I think that in Ted, Higgins sees someone who is totally free of the organization's restrictions in a lot of ways: Ted doesn't play the organization games; he's just Ted and Ted's arrival seemed to open HIggins up to being his own man, just like Ted is.

    Two Roads, by Robert Frost:
    Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
    And sorry I could not travel both
    And be one traveler, long I stood
    And looked down one as far as I could
    To where it bent in the undergrowth;
    Then took the other, as just as fair,
    And having perhaps the better claim,
    Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
    Though as for that the passing there
    Had worn them really about the same,
    And both that morning equally lay
    In leaves no step had trodden black.
    Oh, I kept the first for another day!
    Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
    I doubted if I should ever come back.
    I shall be telling this with a sigh
    Somewhere ages and ages hence:
    Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
    I took the one less traveled by,
    And that has made all the difference.

    Definitely agree. Compared to Beard and Bruce (bus driver)’s tolerance, Ted had to have a high from that tea. I’m positive the bbq sauce definitely helped out more than the tea 😂

    • @daxriley8195
      @daxriley8195 Рік тому +2

      I've always interpreted it differently. It's the thought of the tea being able to unleash Ted's inner capability that finally allows him to get out of his own way and believe in his ability to create a winning strategy. The tea was indeed a dud batch, Ted had ability all along.

    This is meant to be about 'Strings That Bind,' but the recap for 'Sunflowers' was so special that it deserved it's own mention. Then in the world of special that is... Ted Lasso... meeting Sam's dad was even more special than we could have imagined. The out of field special came with Will being Coack Beard... a gag that was "just a little bit outside. The special Angele moments were her concern for the guy's genitals -and- her melting at Nate's box -and- Sam's devistation. The best takeawy "Don't fight back, fight forward." And Nate, welcome to the begining of your brand new life.

    I only just watched the show recently so I'm late to the reactions. It's probably been talked about a lot before, but Ted opening up the practices was a great move. It gives the fans more of an opportunity to connect the the players and see their struggle rather than just have them be these people they only see when the pressure is on during a game. Give's them a new perspective and makes them root even harder and you see that as it continues on. They become part of the club even more and it eventually culminates in teh fans getting a chance to be a partial owner! Absolute genius move!

Took a train there and it just happened to be Queens Day. It was one of the best times I've had, with some of the greatest people I've ever met. I wouldn't worry about the Red Light district as I've seen families walking through it, it just has windows with people in them instead of consumer goods, and drug use is not "in your face" as people exaggerate it to be, its just available and buying sweet baked goods was never a worry, they most definitely will not give you a happy snack without you explicitly asking for it.

    Hope you get to go to a PL game one day - it's a fantastic experience, and if you also spend a few hours pre-match at the pubs talking with other fans and having a good time, you'll soon start to understand the depth of the emotional connection and love most fans have for their respective clubs.
    I'd recommend Liverpool FC as a perfect start, mostly because it's the club I grew up with and it's in my blood, but it really is one of the most special places to go in the world of football. Football is just as much about the emotional connection to the club and its history as well as the sport itself, which is what allows it to become part of the identity for so many of us... 🙂

    My favorite part of this episode was during the red string practice was when the string got pulled off of Jamie by accident. The look on Beard, Ted and Roy's faces. Beard and Ted looked concerned and slightly in pain, but Roy's expression was pure joy, like a kid seeing all the presents on Christmas morning. Kind of an "Oh please tell me I got everything I wanted!"
