VELOCITY On The Moog Grandmother (and Matriarch) 😲

The Moog Grandmother and Matriarch have velocity-sensitive keyboards but the velocity is not hardwired to any part of the synth 🤔However, you can tap into it with a patch cable. Here are a couple of interesting ways you can use it to add variation to sounds and arpeggios.

Hi Ian, just tried it with a sequence but doesn't seem to record velocity, not tried with the arp tho'

Hi Tim - sorry, I didn't follow through with the sequencer info. It only produces an accent. I use the Arp much more and forgot about it 😢
This is from the manual:
"The velocity with which a note is played on the keyboard initiates a keyboard velocity control voltage (CV) signal. This applies to the Keyboard and Arpeggiator only. When the Sequencer is in use, the KB VEL OUT jack outputs an accent envelope with a fast attack and release time that can be patched anywhere on the instrument."

@@DisciplinedCommotion Not tried but from the manual I'm guessing not. The Key Vel Out should produce the emv as described bit it doesn't seem to be related to belocity. If it does that for each note, not sure how you'd patch that to create a difference between notes. Odd implementation altogether.'
