I cannot get over how tiny and adorable Rum Raisin is! Loved seeing all of the pets :). I totally understand about the difficulty photographing a bun. My bunny Chloe is also quick and always has something else in mind than staying still for a photo 😋

I love these room tours. 9 piggies! I'm a little jealous! lol :D But I have to live within my means. We are in the process of buying our first home and if it all works out, my piggies and hedgehogs will have their own room! We have 2 rescue hedgies and 2 rescue guinea pigs... one is a 3 yr old smooth haired boy (Hodgins), and the other will be a year old come Valentine's, and he's an Abyssinian (Wendell).

Your such an amazing Guinea pig owner! and the piggies are so cute! You have inspired me so much, When I first got my guinea pig Roxie we had her as a lone piggy, she was in a cage that we got from a store called litter critters, and although it was quite a bit larger than a cage from pet smart it was far from the minimum size for a guinea pig, after watching your videos I was so determined to make Roxie's life as enjoyable as possible. I started by making her a 2x4 c&c cage with a 1x2 loft after about a month in this cage, we decided to move ahead and take a step that would make Roxie so happy, and it wouldn't have happened if it weren't for you. We then expanded her cage to a 2x5 with the 1x2 loft and finally we adopted a beautiful guinea pig friend for Roxie. They bonded so perfectly with each other, and although Roxie was far from depressed before a friend, I could still never imagine the rapid and amazing changes I saw in Roxie when she got one. She took on a mothering role to the youngster guinea pig, and is always pop corning running laps and chatting very loudly! Thank you so much you have been such an amazing person, and I'm sure that there are many other people who feel the same way I do.

I got my Guinea pig from the backroom as well. Mine also had a severe eye injury, (they didn't know where it came from,) so I took her in. She is such a cutie pie!

The next time you clip Seymour's nails, could you make a video of it? All the videos for clipping nails for rabbits have calm rabbits in them. I would like to see how it is done with a rabbit that doesn't cooperate.

I had never seen a pig look like Huckle until watching your vids, it's a lovely looking fur. I just can't get used to hairless pigs though. My favourite is Reese, i love the nice bright orange off of the black, it's a lovely look.

I only have piggies now but if I were to get rabbits can I put their habitats right beside each other or would that create stress on the animals?
i have the male pigs that are not yet 2 months old. I want to change there food to possibly oxbow or hayloft. They currently are loving alfalfa hay. Should i be giving them an alfalfa based pellet too. Right now they are eating vitakraft sun seed which is timothy. So switching to the better food brand i want to buy the right ingredient until they are six months. Any advice?
@skinnypigs1 i have a question i have two pigs one is two and one is 2 months and the only veggies i can get them to eat is carrots i have tried romane lettece green bell pepper broccoli celery strawberries bananna pear turnip greens and still nothing is there anyway to get them to eat more greens

Hi my name is tia and I was wondering where you get your guinea pigs from. I live in Idaho and there isn’t really any place here for me to go, and my two guinea pigs passed away, apple on Christmas Eve and ruckus on the 22 of december and you know I have a cage and everything and it was really not called for so I am thinking about getting two more. Thx
All mine are from a rescue or adopted from people rehoming them online.

I would not put him right next door, the chances of him getting into their cage one way or another is very high. They are very determined and when young, sure can jump and squish into places you didn't even know about. Plus, you might stress him out with teasing him. I would adopt him a male buddy and house him at the other side of the room.

um....i hqve 2 baby guineapigs and im getting a new one but she is a few weeks older how do i incerduce them to each other
My piggies have these little bamboo chew sticks, but they literally eat 1-2 sticks a night. I put like 5 sticks in their cage two days ago and they already ate them all, I am worried about how much wood they are consuming.

My guinea pigs ( 2 ) have a Midwest cage. They poop like *I N S A N E* I give them baths every few months. ( bc there always messy ) and they love each other so much. How can I keep there cage clean?
Maybe make a larger cage, that really helps.
how often do you have out of the cage time with your pigs? do you hold them all every day or every couple of days? I would imaging holding all of piggies in one day is hard haha
I switch it up, probably hold 2 a day. Each day I pet all of them in their cage, hand feed them pieces of hay and talk to them. So everyone always gets lots of attention, just snuggle time on my lap gets switched around.

Make sure you can handle the potential vet bills, more pigs really ups the vet bills.

will you have another rabbit when Seymore dies? I know about his story and the fact that you like guinea pigs more so I was wondering is you will get another one.
If I ever were to have more rabbits would only be if we finished the basement and could house rabbits down there, because it would be WAY more room and I could adopt a bonded pair. I enjoy rabbits but find it easier to bond with the guinea pigs, just is tough when Seymour doesn't like to be handled and can be a bit snarky. I love him though.
I adopted my pig Uno at the end of December from my local humane society . He was missing his eye when I adopted him but it was never sewn shut. He was taken to the shelter with his eye missing in October and hasn't had any issues with infection . Should I get his eye sewn shut anyway ?
I would speak with your vet about it. It just was a risk for infection and could always weep, so they did that for Raisin.

when my guinea pig walks in her cage, she often press her butt against the floor like a dog itching their butt. Is this normal?? my other guinea pig never does it.

I don't know. I give 1/8th of a cup of pellets per pig, per day.

Nanook looks like a little sheep, so does nanimo (Ik I spelled it wrong probably)

From what I can tell they'll have an L-shaped 2x8 which should be plenty for four, the minimum I've seen recommend for 4 is 2x6 (according to Guinea Pig Cages website). A 2x8 is over 21 square feet.
It is a 2by7.5 when opened and a 2by6 is minimum. Once Bullseye and Nanook are bonded, I can give Bulls and Nanook a 2by5 portion and that will give the Quad a 2by8.5, because I can move the divide over one section.
Hi Abby, I am recently in a guinea pig groupe on Facebook, from France, they say that housing bunny and piggies is dangerous. I have two bunny in my pig room and my vet says that it is ok. What do you think? And in France, the 🐰 gets vaccinated and here in Canada, my vet say that we don't need it.
From what I was told, it is if they are interacting it is dangerous for two reasons. 1) safety reasons (getting hurt) and 2) there is a potential risk for a disease being passed to the guinea pigs, which is in the rabbits nasal passage BUT not all rabbits are carriers. So my personal feelings and what I gathered from other people who own pigs and rabbits, if you are housing them separate and not being careless with interactions, it is perfectly safe to have both in the same room. That is one reason Seymour has the floor and the pigs are up on tables. He does come over to see the pigs if I am holding one while out for lap time and such, but I am not allowing them to get all in each others business.

The issue is the males, they wouldn't be able to live together with all the ladies, they would fight.
