My choke cable failed at 597 hrs. Thanks as your video was extremely helpful. BTW- Removing the exhaust shield makes the job much easier. Only 2 carriage bolts holding it on.
mine is down again.i remember first time i changed the plugs on mine lol.I hate how tight they made that rear.i am actually getting ready to go troubleshoot it now.first day i took it out since pto and it went down grrr."sounds" like its running on 1 cylinder.but i will find out.good vid bud
Thanks man! It is pretty tight back there! But honestly I could have probably given myself a lot more room if I had just taken the rear guard off, since it's just a few more bolts. I honestly never have to work on this thing, so it doesn't bother me too much. That's not good for you! I generally don't change plugs on anything, I will spray some carb cleaner on them and give them a scrub with a wire brush. I guess unplug one plug on your engine and see if it keeps running? As I always say Kawasakis are wonderful until they start acting up, then they will never run the same again. Thanks for watching!
This is such a terrible design. Why would you put a hot exhaust there that's nearly touching the control cables that's sheathed in plastic? Mine were already melted at a couple hundred hours and everything metal near that area is rusting. And the proper way to replace the cables without bending/damaging them is to remove the muffler and the only way you'll get that off is by pulling the engine.
Watched your youtube bought my choke cable and took 10 mins to replace thanks saved $ doing it myself.

Just had to replace the cable on a Toro Titan Z which is much similar to yours. It snapped off at 245 hours . Must be a Chinese part.
