I was interested until you mention that Gimp does not edit Raw files. That is beyond disappointing. I am thinking of switching over to Linux due to Microsoft's pushing Recall. For my use, then I guess I would just use Dark Table. I have never needed to use Photoshop. I recently left all Adobe products. Hence, my looking for Lightroom alternatives. Thanks for the video.

why does my gimp not have the bandaid icon? is this the basic gimp or is there a paid one?
The healing tool is part of the Clone tool group and if you hover your mouse over the clone icon you should see your "bandaid" icon and can activate it from there. Sometimes when you use the Healing tool from the Clone group it will then place a separate icon in the toolbox but if not, You may also click on the Edit menu, then click Preferences, scroll down to "Toolbox" and uncheck "Use tool groups" This will ungroup your toolbox icons and show all icons and you should see your Healing tool (Band-Aid" icon.
Gimp has a huge problem with pen calibration on dual monitors,
how come none of these beginner tutorials tell you?

and yes its just gimp that has a-off-set drawing problem.

There is a reason english is called the hardest language to learn.
Microsoft has 195 forms of english.
Arts schools teach accent and script.
Not counting all the regional dialects and spellings.
Text readers and ai programs can't say certain words so to get them to read you have to type in a certain forms of english not taught in normal person schools.
example word ranger has to be rainjer, or raynjer...
It's called musical english
i despise typing in oxford and American English.
Most of my posts and comments are in speed , accent or script, so try educating your self on more then just lazy school systems taught English...
