For your shelves if you need more space you can get extra bookshelves from ikea, and a whole shelf addition (that's like a box/extra height to the shelf) that way there aren't gaps above paperbacks! It's gotten me at least one more entire shelf per bookcase!

I’ve just done the same Jodie, I’m being a bit more selective on what I buy now as I was spending way too much and was overrun with books, i have sold, gifted and donated around 300 books and still more to go! The books had started appearing in other rooms, it was and still is out of control 🙀
