    Such an underated song. Not all reactors get to this one. I really enjoy it. Lots of the symphonic elements in this one. Also lots of fun to play the drums too! As always, enjoy your enthusiasm when you listen to a Nighwish song 🤘😂🐈🐈🐈

    That's why it so cool you do the Buenos Aires concert - lots of songs that you haven't heard before - oldies, but goodies. Floor and NW did a great job bringing these back to life and live.

    Troy was playing the Low Whistle he also plays a Tin Whistle in other songs , the way you can tell the difference is the low whistle is larger in size with a deeper sound and the Tin Whistle is smaller in size with a higher pitch .

    Great composition as always with Nightwish, but this one is one of those prime examples of the illustrative power Floor has in her voice and performance. I personally really like this concert especially as a performance even though it has some of the less known older and more niche metal genre songs.

    Wonderful reaction Nikki. Epicness right there on that stage. Nightwish Buenos Aires 2018 where Floor looking and sounding stunning breathed new life in to a number of Nightwish classics that pre-date her time with the band and made them her own. 🙏😊👍❤️

    Something that you should know about FLOOR JANSEN. She started singing in a symphonic metal band at just 16 years old. After Forever (1995-2009). Then she created a new Progressive Metal band, ReVamp (2009-2016). In 2018 she released a personal Hard Rock project (Northward). In 2012, she was invited by Nightwish to finish their world tour, after the band's second female singer (Annete Olzon) left. In 2013 she became Nightwish's full time lead Vocalist. She is a singing teacher. She sings in Dutch, German, English, Spanish, Finnish, Swedish, Italian and Latin. She sings Heavy Metal, Trash Metal, Pop, Rock, Symphonic Metal, Arya and Opera. She even sang rap. In March 2023 she launched her first Pop solo album "Paragon". THE BEST SINGER TODAY IN THE WHOLE WORLD.
    Having said that, I want to make it clear that I ADORE Nightwish songs, Walking in The Air by Tarja Turunen and Meadows of heaven by Anette Olzon.

    As a piano teacher i also love the keyboard bit. Very classical 😊
    The lyrics is poetry for NW. You take according to your life and situation and thats why i love them. Im not much of a lyric follower. I mainly listen to the musicality. NW has everything for everyone for every level of listeners. 😊

    If you want a festive song you could do Nightwish - "walking in the air", It was originally from the cartoon The Snowman which is a just about a Christmas tradition in the UK and Europe as it is shown every year. Tuomas took inspiration for the Imaginaerum album (mainly Storytime) from this cartoon.
    Marko and Floor have done some for Raskasta Joulua (Heavy Christmas) concert
    Tarja also does Christmas songs, she has a Dark Christmas album out now.

    I love when reactors get around to this song. It's a little obscure since it's not on the big 3 concerts. It's really old, too, and it's more like symphonic prog. By the way, the only members of the band remaining from the original recording are Tuomas and Emppu.

    I love Love LOVE Nightwish Wednesdays. This song shows their progressive rock side, which I dig. The lyric evaluation you read made me think of this old song by Stryper called "I Believe in You" where Stryper is obviously singing about the Lord, because ....well Stryper... but the lyrics could TOTALLY be about a girl too.

    • @EyesOfGehenna
      @EyesOfGehenna 9 місяців тому

      Yeah, Tuomas grew up loosely as a Christian and so some of the older Nightwish lyrics have references to this. At some point he distanced himself from religion and now considers himself secular, hence the subject matters of the two most recent albums. Just look at Weak Fantasy and Tribal, which are scathing commentaries on Christianity and religion in general, and of course the main theme of those albums being Evolution, particularly inspired by Professor Richard Dawkins.

    Great reaction to a great song. This Tarja era classic is one of my alltime favourites of all Nightwish-songs. From the time I discovered the band back in -98. I am once again asking you to listen that original version on your own. That is amazing too.

    One of mr favourite songs in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar (JCS) is Gethsemane with the very famous Ted Neely who played Jesus almost his entire carrière. You should check it out. JCS was written by the same duo who wrote the Phantom of the Opera that was covered by Nightwish several times, with Tarja and with Floor.

    Although Tuomas has alot of references to his own beliefs in religion and his love for old fairytales,disney and such. I feel like i know him well enough,to think that he leaves most of his lyrics up for interpretation from others. And he is good at that,giving a song multiple meanings.
    Ever Dream is a diamond alright,i always love to watch reactors expecting a slow song when they get it suggested for the first time,and then it just escalates throughout the song.

    I remember that nightwish concert I believe you reacted to it big firework show at the end and someone was reading a poem that had alot of philosophy. It was about children that could be but will never be so I do think they lean more to philosophy than religion. A very good song pic enjoyed your reaction to it wonderful job

    It's a great and underrated song. Another of Tuomas' early songs about Jesus.
    Later in this concert you will get to The Carpenter. Originally sung by Tuomas' and Tarja, in this performance will give Troy a chance to show his vocal prowess.

    2:35 No you didn't. Floor did. Remember, English is not her native language, and the 'th' sound doesn't exist in most others. She sounds kind of Irish at times, especially when it comes to 'u' and 'th'. Her sister however speaks with an impeccable RP. You'll probably hear it soon if you continue reacting to Ayreon.😉
    She got to use her classical voice here for a brief moment. Nice to hear, it has been sort of neglected since 2015.
    It's funny how Tuomas went from Christian-themed songs to becoming a true believer in $cience and fighting against the evil Christian monster that's as good as dead anyway.😂

    • @BrendonChase_2015
      @BrendonChase_2015 9 місяців тому +1

      Sure hope Nikki reads your comment. OTOH, it's not Floortje's fault (of course), that the English language (a poor residue of the once so great ancient Frisian, old low Saxon tongues, tainted by these stuck up proto-French invaders) ehm.. yes, that today's English doesn't match Floor's epic pronunciation here 😉
      I mean, she really sells it: GET semane, right now! But yes, Irene is the master and Ayreon is the way forward.
      So here's my pledge: I'll keep suggesting "The Two Gates" with the best band introduction ever done on a live stage, until Nikki is ready to react to that masterpiece. Ergo: "Ayreon - The Two Gates (Universe) TRANSCRIPT + LYRICS IN SUBS"

    • @noneofyerbeeswax8194
      @noneofyerbeeswax8194 9 місяців тому +1

      @@BrendonChase_2015 Thanks for the clarification. I stand corrected. Of course, the English language is just a mix of Dutch and badly mispronounced French. (That should've been Belgian, but eh, it doesn't exist.) Somehow it managed to preserve this archaic "th" sound that all the more advanced languages got rid of long ago. The Irish did a great job at it too, tanks for dat. Now, de English are getting rid of it as well, replacing it wiv d,t,f,v which I fink is really cool. Dey're also restoring de propa French pronunciation by dropping de 'h'. Oo needs dat anyway.
      It's only de Americans dat cannot catch up wiv everyone else. No surprise dere.😁

    I just noticed that you have not reacted to Ronnie James Dio and so you have probably never heard him sing? That is something you really need to correct. He isn't called "The Voice of Rock" without any reason.
