I’m so happy to hear that Ruby is doing good that she walks in the morning because of the heat you both deserve a medal for all that you do you’re wonderful 🐶🐾❤️
I love your walks with Ruby gives me a chance to get a glance of Washington my dogs. I leave it on for them every day , and all day long thank you for making them!
Kali, my four year old patterdale terrior, & I love this channel/Ruby! Such a beautiful and charismatic pup! The music is perfection, & I appreciate the quotes/poetry throughout the walk. Thank You so much! *Not sure if you've heard of him, but check out Stephen Bennett. He plays harp guitar. For personal listening that is. - Be cool.
Hi, I was watching the marathon walks with you and Ruby. I happened to notice that she had her back and torso shaved recently. This may be from a while back, but I was just checking on her welfare. Did she have sugery? She is such a blessing. You are fortunate to have such a calm trail mate doggie. She's my favorite Heeler to watch. Happy trails and hikes upo in the Puget Sound area..
Hey! Thanks for your concern for Ruby, she's fine! That was from a little over a year ago...we have a couple of cats (brothers), they love Ruby and they are all friends, but one day Ruby accidentally stepped on one of their tails as they were going through a doorway and the cat hissed which caused his brother to run over and attack her. It only lasted a second and I didn't see any blood so I didn't think anything happened but a week later she wasn't feeling well and I noticed an abscess so we went to the emergency room since her vet was booked for weeks. It should have been a simple drain and some antibiotics but they cut her up while trying to shave the spot. I could not go in the back with her because of the pandemic restrictions at the time so I think she freaked out and they cut her up bad. She came out all bloody and they tried to say that she came in that way and she needed to have stitches immediately. All other emergency rooms were backed up and all the vets were booked for weeks so I had no choice but to let them do it right there. I was so pissed but I had to make a decision for Ruby. They either did it on purpose to get thousands of dollars from me or on accident and didn't want to take the blame since they knew I had no choice at that point. I've experienced more than a couple times vets doing shady things so I don't know but either way they lied about the situation. She just had to rest and recover for a couple weeks so not to open her stitches but it should have just been a simple procedure and some meds. Makes me mad just thinking back on it. Thanks again for your concern, Happy trails to you as well!
@@WalkWithRuby It surely sounds like a horror story, my Lord. During those lockdown days, I couldn"t be present for Boomerang's visits. He was still quite the little pup at 2.5 months to about 6 months. He finally got his series of Parvo and his first rabies shot in Sept/ 2020. He's petty much grown up now. He will be 3 yrs old in late April 2023. How old is Ruby? This guy has gone through so many stages, a sweet boy puppy, loving to nip any heel tat walked by, and Yes, at 6mongths the "velocyraptor stage, then at 16 months, he showed me signs of not liking encroachment, then protecting his sleep area, and many challenging moments. He grew out of the body harness stage at 2 yrs, and is comfortable with his I.D. tag collar and his tags, with a choke chain for his leash time. it's a 50/50 when walking keeping in mind his comfort nd his always being protective of me. I have to let people know, when he is with me and on-leash, let him sniff you and he will open up if he wants to. i always have toi tell parents to not let the kids run up suddenly to him. I neutered him at 34 months, about 6 weeks ago. I wanted to wait til he was full grown. Hopefully in abut 6 weeks when my yard dries out from all the amounts of rain we had, i will consider adopting a female yellow lab rescue. Boomerang could use a playmate and learn to share his half acre yard. Lastly, Yes, there are some shady vet clinics. i always ask around to the locals and thse clinics with a 4 or 5 star rating. He is lucky to have a good one about 40 minutes from my hme in Sonora, Ca. They also take care of livestock, horses and farm anmals. Be well and hope to upload some hikes with Boomerang soon, when spring has finally sprung. Cheers...Frank and Boomerang
@@ConjuntoBuenaMezcla Ruby will be 14 in August 2023! I got her when she was 10 weeks old and my other red heeler was 13 at the time. My other red heeler was a bit wild when she was a pup but I started to follow the ways of Cesar Milan from his dvd's and then his book "Cesars Way" and she transformed into the greatest dog to ever live! Before I got Ruby I got the book by Cesar Milan called " How to Raise the Perfect Dog: Through Puppyhood and Beyond" about raising puppies of all breeds, and I used it as a guide as well as the help and influence from my other super awesome dog to guide puppy Ruby and she did, in fact turn out to be "The Perfect Dog"! I never had any problems with Ruby from the beginning. She could walk off leash, was super well behaved, never nipped etc. right from the start. I couldn't recommend the book more. As Cesar Milan always says that he is not a dog trainer ,..."I rehabilitate dogs, I train humans" Happy spring to you and Boomerang, Happy trails and happy tails!
@@WalkWithRuby ..oh yes, heard about his methods, as I took Boomerang to a one 3 hour super detailed training session. The trainer is good, but I think I probably should have gone with a Heeler specialty trainer, as they go through stages and are reactive. He is so good in leash and is getting real good at impulse control off leash, I.e., not immediately running up to people, although mostly social, but not all peeps get it. He is a sweet boy. I may have to do some finishing touches re: releasing from his leash. He's all good to put it on, but taking it off, except when he's distracted by another dog or at the dog park, is an adventure as he will lunge back at me for whatever reason. That all started at about 2.5 yrs, go figure(?) I will look into his videos and might have to work with a trainer on that one point. Also, he is super protective of my pickup. He will guard it with his life. With me it's "knock it off!" Boomerang, ut's like he goes blind for a quick minute. Little issues that are the 10% of the time that are irritating. Other than that, most people like him. It's more about acceptable versus not acceptable behavior..take care and blessings grom one Red Heeler owner hiker to another Stumpy tail blue merle Heeler..🐕🐾😊👏👍
Both my dog and I LOOOOOOOOVE your videos!! I turn your video on UA-cam TV every day and let my dog watch them! Can I ask you what the name of the song you have around 2:30:50? I tried to find it, but it was not on music clip above.
Hi there!, Thank you so much, we are glad you enjoy the videos! I don't know for sure what the name of that song is. I went back to the orginal video and to check because UA-cam usually automatically lists the songs in the description if they are from the UA-cam library which that song should be. Now we use copyright protected songs that we pay the rights for but on that video it should have been from the free UA-cam creators library. Maybe they took it out of the collection and that is why the info is not listed in the description. Not sure what happened but if you wanted to use the audio from the video for something I'm sure it is a copyright free song. Hope this helps! Thanks again for watching and letting us know you enjoyed them, we appreciate it so much!
oh okay, thank you@@WalkWithRuby !!! Truly appreciate for your quick response!! Also, I check the places you go and take my husband and dog for a nice walk. The places you have chosen are all great place for dog walk!! Hope we can see each other someday!🥰
Also, @@WalkWithRuby Ruby is absolutely cutie and sweet pup!!! Please take a good care of her and keep posting lots of video of your joyful walk with her💕
No problem! I’m glad others are finding new places to walk their dog, I originally was thinking of this channel as a guide for local dog owners to discover new places to walk your dog. We have done all these walks many times and revisit them often, among countless others. If you ever see a dog that looks like Ruby come say hi! It might be us! I always thought it would be so cool for someone to come up and say “ Is that Ruby?!” Thanks again for watching! Tell your dog “Hi” from Ruby!
Sorry I don't have control over the ads. If you are a content creator with less than 1000 subscribers then you don't have control of the ads, UA-cam will choose when and what to put ads on. How many do they put on this video? Thanks again for watching and supporting the channel!
