This is a great welder, easy to use, good penetration, can be used for just about everything. I added one to my collection. I’m rocking 3 green welders from HF and can’t complain about any of them.
Had mine for 3 years as well, many projects built with it, zero problems, great equipment at a fantastic price. Can't do true MIG with it, and of course can't do SMAW or GTAW, but an inexpensive way to get into the welding world.
For most of us happy hobbyists, it is smarter to buy two separate machines for FCAW and SMAW. A good multiprocess machine cost about the same as a decent used car!
@@TheAmericanCraftsmen Yes, there's always some exception if you look hard enough, but if you are after a good and dependable MPM then you're generally stuck on upper tier gear from the big brands. Personally, I have a Spartus Easymig 125 FCAW, which from what I've seen would be a less performer than your machine but the build quality has held up well over the years. On the SMAW side I bought an ESAB Rogue 180 Pro which for the price is a beast of a stick welder! In todays exchange rate, the total (for both) would be USD 780. You really can't beat that!
@TheAmericanCraftsmen glad we got it at a good time! I think I only paid a little over a hundred for it (it's been a while so I can't really remember haha) I love your content my friend. I've got a strong feeling you're going to blow up here soon (: I know I'll be looking through your channel and leaving some likes
So, isnt the wirespeed listed on the cover for 1/8 in. metal 7 not 10? That being said, the bead looks pretty good. Maybe I need to up my wirespeed... I'm still a beginner when it comes to dialing in the settings on this welder.
Yea you can just make sure you grind the trailer where your going to weld. Then if you don't want it to rust you will have to paint it or coat it with something.
Almost looks like your pushing the puddle. They say if there’s slag you drag. Either way if it works it works. Might have some hidden porosity so I’d just keep that in mind depending on what your welding.
Yea I know. Only thing that changes that is the angle which I get a little carried away with. And none of the stuff I have welded with that has mattered all been non structural stuff.
If you look up "who makes harbor freight titanium welders" online that's what pops up. But yea I agree with you. I can't see 2 competing companies making a product for harbor freight
Throwing a piece of equipment on a table like that is not how you respect equipment. Take care of equipment and it will continue to work well. That welder has a number of components in it that are soldered to a printed circuit board. Manufacture solder joints are not always the strongest. After working 18 years in electronic assembly of circuit boards, I can tell you dropping them even lightly at time causes a intermittent or dead connection, and useless machine, stereo, instruments and etc. So if your welder is not performing as when it was new, jarring, dropping, or vibration will hinder the performance.
If it breaks more content. It's not like I'm slamming the machines onto the table. And if they cant take a beating from normal use like not gently setting them down, Not a very good product then.

It definitely outlived my expectations.
Thanks for the video, looking to buying one soon, you've helped me make a decision & that's the one
It's definitely worth it!
Still in box haven't used yet. Bought to use on exhaust repairs. Got the flame retardant Jacket, gloves, helmet, wire brush. 70 retired diyer
I've used mine on exhaust a few times seems to work well once you get the settings dialed in.

Definitely a very good machine to learn to weld on.

That is true lol there are a few exceptions though

That really isn't bad of a deal. Especially for an esab welder
mine is 4 maybe 5 years old now..all i have done to it, install a better ground clamp on it...works great
I was originally going to do that but the one that came with it hasn't given me any issues. So I guess not worth the trouble for me lol
Great little welder got mine about the same time and it's still running as good as the day I bought it
Pretty impressive for harbor freight.
I didn't even think it was going to work at all but it's actually very well crafted , and definitely a rare W for harbor freight
Definitely. Too bad they made it more expensive though.

Yea it's probably supposed to be set for 7 but I like to run my stuff a bit hotter. It also means I can go faster.
You da Man !!!
I have a question for anyone who can answer this, can u weld a piece of steal onto a galvanized trailer?
Yea you can just make sure you grind the trailer where your going to weld. Then if you don't want it to rust you will have to paint it or coat it with something.
@@TheAmericanCraftsmen Thank u, appreciate it

Titanium welders are actually made by miller and Lincoln
Probably why they are so bulletproof
@@TheAmericanCraftsmen - a newbie question: no gas required with this flux welder.
Correct. No gas required
I really doubt that, two competing companies building equipment for a bargain bin brick and mortar business? Where did you hear that?
