Posture improves when you exercise regularly; yet still a challenge with Smartphones, tablets and working on computer all day. Color quiz was spot on with the colors I already use.
Just found you, really good advice, I'm now 68 and really rethinking the way I dress . Now I'm feeling more confident and like myself again. Thankyou for your informative videos
Thank you so much for putting all these ideas together for us. There is a lot of great ideas in this video- I'm glad I can go back over and over to take it all in. I love the way you talk about working with what you already have rather than go out and buy even more clothes. I can't wait to watch some of your older videos on here 🌻🌹🌺
Diana, this is my favorite video of yours!!! Excellent tips. I follow all of these but I do have to constantly remind myself of keeping my posture straight. I say to myself "be tall".
Hi Diana! I especially like the tips on posture! I always need to remind myself to stand straight! I will start using your tip (x on hand). Perhaps you can do an entire video on posture?
I am glad it was helpful! I am afraid posture is not my professional expertise, but I will definitely continue sharing some tips in my next videos, since so many people found it helpful 😊
Thank you once again for a brilliant video. The one I found most useful(and it was all useful) was about styling neutrals. The idea of 3 colours, and also using metallics to accessorise the look. The other parts were very useful too.
I have watched a number of your videos and think that you made a very smart choice in your hairstyle. It suits you so well and definitely looks more stylish and adds more class than your previous longer hairstyle..as you yourself have mentioned. I also love the jewellery and other ways you pool items together to create very classy looks. However, I don’t care for the longer jackets on you. I don’t know how tall you are but I feel they make you look short and that you are wearing clothing two sizes too big. I know oversized jackets are a trend but don’t feel they flatter your figure. I feel the shorter or hip length jacket looks much smarter on you. Just my opinion. ❤
I-love the tip to have your wrist behind the hips! I know I have terrible posture, I have seen photos of myself that have made me cringe. At this late date I am making an effort to correct decades of damage.
The best investment I’ve made is to get my personal color palette and body pass! WOW! 🔥🔥🔥 Now I will not spend more money for clothes wich don’t fit me or the color which is not complimenting my skin! THANKS A LOT! ❤
Thanks, Diana. I love your videos. In this one, your advice about posture is so spot on. I've been using an Upright Go, and if you struggle with maintaining good posture, I recommend it. I got mine from Amazon. Basically it's a small device with an app that you stick between your shoulder blades. When you start to slump, it gives you a little vibration to self-correct. You program it yourself with the app, and it's very easy. I don't work for them and I'm not an affiliate. Just wanted to pass on this tip. Thank you!
Well, not all the accessories are from some big brands. It’s up to your own budget. And I put some very democratic alternative in the infobox. And those that are expensive they are really for a lifetime)) I wear them every single days for years.
Traditional tailoring sets the shoulder seam at no more than 1/2” outside of the natural shoulder line break. Even a slightly wider shoulder can restrict arm mobility, make the garment too wide under the armscye, and doesn’t look good.
Loved your tips. Just visited Charleston sc bought amazing linen slacks. Other stores had fast throw away fashion with poor quality fabrics bad workmanship. I'd rather spend more for quality and better for environment.
Most of my make up is from Nars, I really love the brand. As for skin care I use all the products from Biologique Recherche for years, tried to switch to another brands, but not as happy with the result as after this one.
These were great tips. However, I would certainly add nutrition and dental care. They are some of the hardest to keep up with these days yet they make a lasting impression on your personal quality and value. Without proper nutrition, quite frankly, none of the rest of this matters.
absolutely agree! i would also add manicure (or at least clean filed nails), so many wimen buy tons of expensive clothes and their nails/hair/teeth cheapen their look (been there myself 😅)
Have been following Diana Goss for a few months now. Each video is packed with information and straight to the point. However I’m not very tech savvy and haven’t been able to access the courses she offers. Frustrated fan!! 😵💫
Your videos are excellent! Very helpful! I am confused about one suggestion. I thought that if you are low contrast hair, skin, etc. that you are supposed to wear low contrast colors. You aren’t supposed to wear black and white since they are high contrast.
Well ideally soft contrasts look better in soft colour combinations, however if you like black (as I do😊) the only way to pull it together is to add lighter accents to it. And I choose not the crisp white but off white which is much softer and suits my natural colouring.
@@dianagoss I really appreciate your response. That makes sense to me. I have a cool undertone so I thought I had to stick with crisp white but since seeing your videos, I have been trying off white and it looks fine on me too. I love the lighter colors around my face. You are so helpful!!!!
You are the best of best ! I have a question and I only trust you not my tailor! Can u pls help me with opinion ! I am size 3x and my body is pear shape a after having kids i a big tummy ! I always try to hide it with 2 piece clothing. So I have a wedding & I need to wear a long dress or gown which is very hard to find modern and younger look in 2 piece so I’m gone have it made! But I’m not sure the fabric . I’ve seen a dress I like not in my size I’m gone one in 2 pieces long a line skirt and a top so it covers & hides my tummy! D dress I saw it’s satin which looked good on d style off d shoulder with bows it hide my arms where it needs to ! What kind of satin will hide best in silk satin! It’s gone be black which help! My tailor told me to go which stretchy Fabric & I’ve heard there is a thick silk satin & a thinner ones! For hiding tummy and for Aline skirt what’s the best? Pls help! Thank you so much beautiful lady! God bless! 😍❤️btw if there is any other fabric in mind pls let me know!
I think that looking more expensive begins with a sensible healthy diet, regular exercise, and good grooming. Unfortunately, these things require immense self discipline and commitment, on a daily basis.
@@dianagoss Air conditioning in office buildings, even in hot climates, is so cold that jackets and sweaters are useful! We live in Arizona and my husband wears long underwear under his scrubs. The procedure rooms are ice cold!
Talking about tailoring: Yes, it is most important, but I don't understand why you, a professional and elegant stylist, always wear blazers and coats with sleeves much too long?
Unlike some other language families, IE languages, including English, require articles. You need an article in front of “bag,” either “a bag” or “the bag”. My or your bag is fine, too. Just “bag is” is incorrect. Or you could use the plural, bags, as in “bags are really important to our outfits”. I apologize for correcting your English, but it is so close to perfect already that I can’t resist pointing out the small improvements that you could make.🙂
Do you mean when I speak or when it’s written. With written I know that you can drop the article. Anyway thank you for correcting! It’s obviously not my mother tongue so there’s always room to improve 😊
You are saying badge in English, not beige. Beige is pronounced like bayjz, so if you say bay and the French g ( jz) you’ve got it. It rhymes with our English sage - sayjz, or gauge - gayjz. It’s not exactly the same as the French -ei sound, but it’s definitely not the -a in cat, as you’re saying it.🙂
Kimberly how many languages do you speak? That was not necessary to do and it is very mean spirited. We all know what Dianna means when speaking with her beautiful accent. FYI ESL teacher here. ❤

Love these tips, especially to keep my hands behind my hips.
The color palette quiz surprised me and opened the door to colors I would not have considered! Thank you.
The posture example and tip were just what I needed to hear.
I think it’s really working, and the cross on your hand 🙈not glamorous but does work😊

As usual, perfect advice and clues. Love your style. Miss your European School of Style❤.
Hip bones and posture - spot on !
Excellent video-thank you Diana.
Glad you enjoyed it!
So, some of these tips demand quite a budget by the look of it!! Designer bags, belts and Cartier jewellery!! Thank goodness good posture is free 😮

You don’t have to wear designer bag or jewellery to look stylish!! You may use Zara bags and accessories and look gorgeous
@@dianagoss I love seeing beautiful quality jewellery pieces. Great video!
@@marlenejohnston4854 I agree, these give one ideas of what to look for irrespective of budget

I just received my silk pajamas

I just wore my silk night gown as a slip.😂.
You vamp!!!😂😂💖
Good stuff!

If you like simple , take a look at Anna Luisa !
These beautiful belts are $450 to $1,500. WOW!
See, that makes me ill. B4 I would ever spend $500 on a bag I would donate that huge amount to a shelter, pets and people💖
Amazing
Thank you! Cheers!

Best advice to look expensive on a budget:
My watch and bracelet are from Cartier,
my earrings are from Dior
Yeah.... I get it! 😁👍

I CANNOT wear neutrals. I look sick!
I noticed most of your clothes have sweaters, unfortunately we l live Washington DC area, in spring and summer especially sweaters are unbearable
I love in México. Its horribly hot
What can I say! I can’t help but being jealous)) In Belgium sweater is your must-have even in July 😆
Sorry l meant jackets although they are light but still, what about some dresses with short sleeves or skirts fashionable for older ladies? Thank you

What about to look elegant and stylish instead? Expensive sounds rather dubious and can evoke unflattering connotations.
came to watch it ---but there is nothing here but a title ??? Tech issue ---:-((((
Try again please!
