Thanks for this vid. I'm slim and until 2 years ago had an abdomen like an ironing board - then I got peri-menopausal bloat, which makes me look like I'm 4-5months pregnant. I've since abandoned my jeans (which I used to live in), and anything with a waistband that puts even the slightest pressure on my mid or upper section. I now wear leggings, over-sized sweats and dresses. The rest of my wardrobe sits untouched. The silver lining to this cloud is I'm glad I've glad I've finally discovered floaty maxi-dresses, as they suit my body type, and look elegant and feminine. Do I care whether they're in trend at the moment? Nope, not one bit🙂.
Can’t believe some of the negativity on here. I’m sure there are lots of you tubers who could help you out. Petite Dressing is good. This presenter is doing her best to give great styling advice!
Diana, I am sure this video will encourage many women to try new styling options and will change their view on how to dress for their figure! I can speak for myself, all these 'tricks of the trade' I've learned on your course, and now, as a Personal Stylist I am using this knowledge to help my clients to always feel confident about themselves! Their look is priceless when they see themselves in a mirror in outfits they wouldn't have picked in the past. Small changes make a big difference! Thank you for everything you do for so many women across the world! 💖
Your white top that you used to demonstrate tucking is beautiful. Where is it from. I love your videos. I will be 60 and my body has changed. This is all so helpful and inspiring
I never had this problem when I was young, and now sometimes I still dress as if I don’t have tummy, though it’s obvious I have. And then I find myself uncomfortable in the clothes especially passing the mirror)) It’s funny, how long it takes in our mind to move from what you used to wear to what suits you better now. And I think it’s one of the biggest problem in finding the new fit that you never tried before. I definitely have this problem
Yes, we need to admit that our figure changes as well as we do, but it’s the beauty of it, we can evolve and grow in terms of our personal style and look way beter than when we’re younger.
Hi Diana. I love the white shirt you are wearing in the video prior to the wrap shape. I didn't see a link in your description. Do you happen to remember where you purchased it or where I might be able to fund a similar one? Thank you.
You are so right about thin fabric! I bought 2 t-shirts awhile ago that were similar style but different colors -and they were so pretty - but I have a large chest for my frame and a little belly and every time I would put them on - I took them off- got rid of one but this is motivation to donate the other.
Love your ideas & have been using them for years! The tucking of the blouse near the end of your video💯👏 so important!! You absolutely nailed it! The wrap top thing tho honestly tried many times & nope ..never worked for me🤷♀️
With the wrap top - fabric is very important. It need to be supportive and elastic enough, than it looks perfect on figure and conceals the folds and the tummy.
Contrary to what you said that you have a tummy after 3 children…. I WISH I had your tummy after 2 children and menopause. I look like I am 6/7 months pregnant. My stomach really protrudes. You just have a little bulge and your suggestions work well for that. None of these except for covering it up with a jacket will work to hide my big bulge.
I would say all 6 would work in combination. I’ve worked a lot with women with large stomach, plus size included-medium waist bottom + structured layer, wrap or draped dress in thick elastic fabric, slightly higher waistline - these are their best friends .
@@dianagoss just saying the high waisted do not hide my “pregnant” belly . It is my serves to look like I am wearing an maternity top😂. These may work for sone, but not for others. I am one of those “others”.
Wear shape wear since it can help u eliminate uneven bulges even if u still have a big stomach - these bulges are more figure wrecking than the stomach itself. I highly recommend ruching then (which happens to be in rn), which is what many maternity shirts (I personally think they’re some of the best shirts to wear even when ur not pregnant and I know other women with very cute figures who wear them too) have on the sides but u can get the ruching in different directions (especially if ur self-conscious about looking like ur wearing maternity wear). To this day, my most figure friendly items are or have been ruched. The other thing I’d recommend is buying shirts that are long on the body so that they cover everything and hang well, along with making u feel secure. PattyK clothing on amazon used to be great for this but not sure they’re still out there (buying freeze during covid). Finally, always go for longer jackets (that fall about halfway down thigh) that are fitted and create the illusion of a waist - all the better if they also have puffed shoulders Bc the silhouette created is very proportional. Make sure ur clothing fits and try to add volume to areas like the shoulders and flaring out from underneath the waist but otherwise, as long as ur wearing shape wear, don’t be afraid of wearing figure conscious clothing like she suggests; it may sound like there’s no way it could work and it’s counterintuitive but u have to try these tips before poo-pooing them first. Women typically dress in roomy clothes to try to hide stomachs but though it makes sense as a strategy, the end result is adding even more volume to the exact areas u want to minimize.
Hi Diana, been watching your videos and I haven’t seen any vids on UA-cam addressing stomach area many times it’s the abdomen even shapewear. I had surgery and because of a hernia after the surgery I always feel conscious of my appearance, would you recommend something. Thanks in advance 🌺
Girl you absolutely do not have a big belly. You look great!!! It would be awesome if you could get a woman that is actually overweight or at least one that has a big belly.
The biggest problem is not having a little tummy, but making a fuss about it. The truth is- nobody cares, nobody recognizes this "unperfection". Woman - and especially the one's who a really beautiful- are overcritical with themselves.
I am not critical about it, I am just aware of it, so if you know how to improve it, why not to do so. But of course everyone needs to dress the day that make them feel comfortable and confident. My job is to share my professional expertise so that all these gorgeous women watching my video can decide if that works for them or not😊
@@dianagoss Hi Diana, i didn't mean, that you in person are critical, but woman in general are too hard to themselves and the one's, who don't have to, even more.
I havé diastis recti plus csections on m’y own end. Fabric is a huge deal. Thin fabrics show rolls and everything. Too exposing for sure. I don’t like runching. I find it makes the tummy look worse and very pregnant look. No straight dresses for me.

Girl you look fab in that grey knit dress, you can rock that anytime, no need to worry about looking good!
Excellent video!👌🏽
I purchased an inexpensive dress & I retried it on… although it does show the tummy, I still think it looks good so am going for it! ❤
Wow! What an awesome video! I will definitely incorporate every one of these hacks.
Thank you for these tips.
You look incredible in all the outfits!x

Just found your channel and I’m now subscribed. Will you please link the tops you wore? Love your style!
Great tips! I do think you should use a heavier model when speaking of concealing weight, your thin body is perfect! Not many of us look like that!

As always, great tips for looking great and stylish!
Another great video. My tummy is much more protruding than yours so I wish you would have styled a woman with a larger midsection than yours.

You're so welcome! 🤗 thank you for your support!
Thank you for your great suggestions. it is so powerful how we can create a new proportion in our body to take the attention away from our tummy!
You're so welcome! Yes it all about shifting focal point from what we want to conceal to what we want to accentuate.
Wow, I have been doing everything wrong, fantastic tips that I will be using from now on ✨
It's powerful knowing those tips.
You do not look great just in "do" outfit but in "don't" too. Of course I prefer first one like you. Thanks for the tips.

Hi! I wonder if anyone knows: has Diana done a video specifically about dressing when you are short waisted?
Merry Christmas 🎄
Happy holidays!
What color is your lipstick please
What do you wear in hot weather? Thin top show belly but who wants to wear jackets when it's hot in Summer?

Thank you. I hate wearing belts.
Why is that?
I love your help.
After 2 children I also have a tummy....I like wearing leggins very much, but only with alongated and slightly oversize tops.
Leggings are my daily wear, they also motivate me to go to the gym🤪 it’s like you’re dressed for the gym, now you definitely need to go😂
I love your videos
Thank you! 😊
I especially like zebra top
Wouldn’t it be great to have real plus sized women n a video like this.

Where is your volume in the middle? To get more viewers you need realistic models to emphasize your point.
Then find another person to follow
She said tummy, and in fact she has a tummy indeed, just as I do, even being very fit. I don't see at all that she is being unrealistic or unrelatable
